Ewing for ex wasn’t even allowed to hang out with Zo or Mutombo. But when Don Nelson took over it went away and JVG being from Riley coaching tree put the rule back in.
It’s not a good look with your teammates that have to guard MJ if Ewing or Oak are out partying with MJ until 24 in the morning. JVG just made the mistake about talking about MJ to the press.

I remember the games of the Knicks against the Bulls back in the 90s. I was a Ewing/Knicks fan, sitting in a bar with all my Bulls/MJ fans buddies. I can honestly say that I never saw any Knicks players taking it easy on MJ. I never even got that feeling. I saw the Knicks doing everything they could to try and slow down MJ, including hard fouls, but nothing worked. I don't believe MJ would have been friends with Oakley or Ewing if they didn't go all out against him. If they ever held back on MJ, he would be pissed. MJ respected them for never going easy on him. I was never an MJ fan, always liked Bird and Ewing, but you can't ever downplay MJ's greatness.

I hope your videos and all those testimonies from legends of the game make young people put in perspective the immense magnitude of greatness that MJ was inside a Basketball court. For all of us privileged that saw him played in his era, we just re-enjoy and re-affirm he is the GOAT. There are endless awesome stories about MJ, and just watching him play in this game against the Knicks reminds you why he's the best ever.

SO many young people don't understand how different MJ really was compared to who they think is the GOAT. MJ dropped 50 with all midranges, free throws, and driving to the rim with insane layup packages and most teams barely scored 100 in a tough defensive era. Now you see two sometimes 3 players drop 30 after hitting 5-7 threes just flinging them up while the final scores are above 120 or more. Now the top ten scores are above 28 points a game. with 7 people averaging 30 a game. It's just soo different! MJ was ALWAYS the best player on the floor, no matter what point of the season or game was playing. I don't think we'll every have that experience again.

You literally just explained how more efficient and better players are in today’s league, which makes it harder to standout and get scoring records, points leader etc
      Derozan is today’s Michael Jordan.
Worst part, MJ is known to score. Less efficient and less points than Lebron. On top of less assists, rebounds, blocks, finals & playoff scoring.
People get better overtime. Whoever was your goat QB or ⚽️ player has now changed (TB12 & Messi or CR7)
Gotta accept it and move on.

@@Dalex3I think what he’s saying is the league believes high scores and crazy stats are entertaining so defense has been reduced to near extinction. The games were lower scoring because it was harder to score back then. When someone was scoring 30 or 40 on your team it was embarrassing to your defense. Now it’s embarrassing not to score 30 or 40, because defense is an afterthought. See the difference?

I don't see how they wanna sy Lebron is better and he simply doesn't have that mystique or lore, where are the legendary lebron stories, Kobe got those stories and my boy Iverson too,, but I've never heard any classic lebron stories. I think he's a very good player, pippen 2.0 with scoring , certainly fraternize more than jordan, as friendly superteam camaraderie building dude, but not legendary goat status, in a sense both Space Jam movies highlight who they are and how they play, Lebrons sonning the league and constructing his team of bros and Jordan take his misfits, get tehm believing and go conquer the monstars
