My $20 air popper makes the same amount of popcorn in about 1/4 of the time, none of the effort and none of the danger. It's cool and all, but it seems like a lot of work for some fucking popcorn, ya know?
Relax, my friend. First of all, these things are called “old-fashioned popcorn makers” for a reason, which is old-fashioned, which means they are not popular anymore. They are loud and unsafe and it’s said some contain lead which is really bad, so you can’t find many of these in China now. Second, I think you might need to know that $20 is not cheap at all for people who make those popcorns for a living. It’s almost ¥140 and actually it’s not the normal price if you want to buy an air popper in China because it’s not commonly used. Also, an air popper is usually plug-in, right? It means you need to at least have a small shop for the light, water and electricity things but people who make those might not have the budget to open a shop. When I was a kid, those popcorns were sold on the street. People were all pretty poor before so even though the popcorns were made by those loud, unsafe and probably unclean machines were precious food they could get. There are still poor people who have to use these for a living right now, but eventually these machines will be replaced by something safer and more effective. We’re getting better, hopefully. Thank you for the concern. You are a caring one, my friend. I hope these can explain the situation.
A unique way to make popcorn. However not one I would dare try. Even the smaller version sold on Amazon looks like it could cause problems in the wrong & inexperienced hands. I did like watching this video but it was a bit “distracting” hearing all the snuffing, snorting & coughing. Maybe the person taking the video would consider turning off the microphone next time. I am, however, sorry he was suffering from a cold or allergies.
I'd have to agree with you on that one. And plus, there's a good chance that those are not even real popcorn kernels! It's probably replica food. Those Chinese are pretty good at making replicas!
What happens if you let it go back down to room temp, then open it? Do the kernels stay unpopped?
Those bang he shot popcorn inside the bag was loud. Saw one like this in India.

hillhead11 it's a special pressure thing. And most of the time, we eat sweet popcorns
Jacky Niu ARE U FROM CHINA?

Why there's always a stupid fucker saying this?... It's STREET FOOD, lady princess. Street food ain't super clean H-E-L-L-O !!
It would be easier and safer to just use a kettle with lid over a fire. If that pressure vessel fails, it will have an ugly result.
This is oil/grease free
Boom!
The result is different . The popcorn textured more like puff rice this way and better
That's a different kind of popcorn tgat you would use for that kettle. This type might not pop at all on the stove
Different action, and can only use "pop corn". This can make puffed wheat or rice, all kinds of things.
Mejor las hago en la olla más seguro alv :v
