I actually liked the dialog changes in this version as well as the other differences from the original it feels much more like a sonic crossover than the original now.

Honestly I love how the new dialogue not only gives the impression that you're playing as Sonic, but also is faithful to the cartoon, especially having Scratch's iconic laugh inserted into his dialogue. You hear him always have that "Ba-ha-ha-HAAA!" in so many scenes in the show!
