also on top of color/contrast theory, you have to keep in mind that these celebrities ofc have professional make up artists with years of experience and knowledge you probably don’t have. doing your makeup with the expectation and desire to come out like them just isn’t realistic. i’m not saying don’t aim for improvement in skill, just to be reasonable, bc like alexandra pointed out, there’s also filters to take into account
