I have to tell you how much I appreciate your content. Most other creators are just reviewing new makeup, which is a problem for my shopaholic tendencies! You actually TEACH us how to do the best look for our face, without pushing a specific brand, so we can use the products we already own!❤
@@AlexandraAnele I call it strawberry shortcake makeup since it doesn't even use the actual color of a strawberry (prob 'cause tomatoes are nearly the same & that ground was covered). I know you tend toward elegant and/or highly editorial looks, and while I'd like to see you dolled up cutesy like my fave toy from 1982, I'd really love to see a more sophisticated, grown up take on the look. At 53, I know I can wear any makeup I want, but since both freckles & cheek tint fade in most older women, I've discovered I look away too costumey & contrasty when trying the look (it gave "summerfest face paint" vibes with a dollop of Davis as Baby Jane lol), but I am intrigued by the blush tones & technique being used. I do think the fake freckle fad will disappear again pretty fast, it looks very odd on most people in real life settings. And if 5 people out of 30 show up to an event with fake freckles, I'm thinking it will be noticeable in a not-flattering way.
You're actually the best make-up artist on youtube I've started following. 😩 Your videos are straight to the point, easy to follow, there's no bs, and the way you just explain each step is extremely helpful!! And your make-up hacks like...ACTUALLY WORK. Thank you so much for the great content!! 💖 And gosh, you're so beautiful, I have no idea how you're able to pull off every single look 😭💖
Gorgeous even tho i am the girl with no room to work with, but no worries, youve taught me so many eye techniques, i cant believe i am rocking such creative looks at 53, and i just learned actual techniques for my small, hooded, structural, glasses'ed eyes. I still end up learning something useful (like how to tweak my current technique to move my crease up a skootch).
First of all, the earrings!!! Absolutely gorgeous. Second, it kinda looks simple but so elegant. It's a great tutorial everyone needs to watch. Thanks ❤❤❤
Whenever I’m in a low mood i watch your videos bc you give off best big sis ever energy and it makes me feel better ❤ also your talent, vibe, and educational style is unmatched
This was so gorgeous. You hit that sweet spot between glamorous and undone. Thank you for all the little details and the insouciant attitude. Those new quads from Sigma look excellent.
I have a wedding this saturday and have been dreaming of this eyeshadow look since 2 weeks, I just couldnt find the motivation to find a tutorial on youtube. And now I see this. PERFECT🙌🏼 thank you very much
I really REALLY appreciate the angle of your camera. You are literally the only one who does not angle their camera from above to look downwards. Its hard to learn details about eyeshadow at that angle. Yours appears to be almost straight forward or even slightly downwards a bit. Pefection. Your eyeshdow skills are top notch. ❤
I'd love to see how to do deep-set eye Cher-style eyeshadow! It seems like she's always worn the same shape just with different colors and lashes. It could be fun to see something like the neutral look from the beginning of the movie Moonstruck to the glam look at the end!
This was very classy. I love that you shared so much on technique and shading. The attention to detail was so good. I love that Java shade. The artist in you comes out so much. I am guilty of using the same brush or just two for eye looks. I love your videos.
Never been this early! You’re the only youtuber I watch every time a video pops up. You have helped me so much with understanding my face!!!!!!!! I’m a model and its my dream to have you do my makeup one day 🥹 MANIFESTING!
i don't have anything new to add that hasn't already been said, but I love your videos so much. So much great info packed into every minute, you're straight to the point and so informative, charming and funny. as a total newbie i'm learning so much from you. I end up saving nearly every video I watch of yours haha. thank you Alex ❤
This is my go-to eye look for a night out - I love neutrals, but it also looks great in mauvey purples or earthy greens to switch things up. I LOVE that you put the lightest color on last - I'm going to try that, because I always accidentally blend out my darker colors too much down onto the lid and need to clean it up slightly so the lightest color can still be seen. Probably I need to put less product on the brush, but I get so impatient. 😅 Thanks for the walk through!! I have some ideas for how to improve my application of this look now.
omg the skipping and patting method to fix that - THANK YOU FOR TEACHING US!!! I just thought my eyeshadows maybe weren't great or my blending technique was bad - thank for sharing the small details. They help so much!
oh yes! I so needed an updated brown smoky eye. the other day I tried you latte look and realized I needed more of the old fashioned brown smoky eye tutorial more. so thanks for this ❤
Dude you seem so classy and beautiful all around! Thank you for sharing all of your great tips. You have no idea how much better my skin looks with all of your advice.
Thank you so much for showing us how to get this look! The first application part I would have never gotten but when you see how it’s done it makes perfect sense! Yes I am going to try this! 😊
I have learned so so much from you and I am beginning to get into creative looks... I want to try a colorful butterfly eye look or maybe the one that has the clouds around the eyes or the galaxy look... Would you be willing to do any of these looks? I've watched countless other beauty RUclipsrs but I never understand what they are doing like I do with your videos. Thank you so much for all your knowledge you have shared with us and the detailed way you teach! You are my absolute favorite! And your brush is sooooooo good! Slay!!!
I’d love for you to do a tutorial on how to make red eyeshadow more wearable and approachable. I have fair to pale skin and can’t figure out how to make red eyeshadow look good!
I always love watching your tutorials! And your tips for holding the brushes really help! I am definitely going to try this! I love brown eye looks they are my favorite 🥰 ❤
Love love love. You’re the best Alex! I’m eyeing the liners you used here. I cannot find ones that don’t transfer to my lower water line. It’s a thing. But the nude liner you used is a no brainier - 3.99$? Love. Definitely nabbing!
What a stunning look on you! This look is right up my street, unfortunately I can't use a brush or blend, even if my life depended on it! You make it look so easy, I don't know what I'm doing wrong when do try to use brushes it skips, doesn't blend, it just looks a hot mess! So I've now settled on swiping on my single colour eyeshadow with my finger... Love this video ❤
Video suggestion/request- Could you please do a tutorial on using cream or liquid eyeshadow? I just recently got those about-face matte liquid eyeshadows (I picked up Smell before rain and lilac) and I’m really struggling with how to use them. Please and thank you!!!!
Last week I ordered the number 28 brush from rephr so seeing it used here was great! Also love how you tell people to use the right shades for them rather than saying people have to have a certain palette. Thank you!
Alex, the strawberry look would be an interesting challenge for you with olive undertones. I love this eyeshadow look, especially the tip about creating a crease above your natural one. Please tell us your lip look! It's not in the description box. Thank you for the video!
i’ve rewatched this SO many times bc i planned to try following along since our lids are similar….today is that day 🤞🏼 i’m not done yet, but so far i already feel very good about it

The only beauty influencer doing tutorial and teaching the girls something new
I’d love to see your take on strawberry makeup! 🍓
oh that would be so cute
I haven't thought of doing that one but maybe 🙃
Yes please! ❤
❤oh yeah

You are so relatable! I’m an almost 70yo who has always loved makeup and fashion. Take my word for it. You’re the real deal. 💜

I concur. 🎉
AND she uses looks mature women can duplicate… not too much shimmer in every look 😍🥰
I totally agree with you Kat 💯

I love your sense of humor! You have taught me so much about having patience while doing make up. It’s another saved video for me. Thanks
Thank you love! Today's world is so fast-paced, but patience really is a virtue! 💜
Girl I love you brows your so naturally beautiful 🦋 💄
Your tutorials are always so helpful! I love getting notifications for your videos!
😭🙏🏼
First of all, the earrings!!! Absolutely gorgeous.
Second, it kinda looks simple but so elegant. It's a great tutorial everyone needs to watch. Thanks ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😩
Woah this the first time in years that I got one of your vids on my recommended, couldn't be happier!
Alex, love this kinda giving "modern Sophia Loren" eye look. not super complicated and mattes that we all have. thank you!❤🙏🌺
I thought "updated Sophia Loren" the moment she took out the nude liner! gorg
Whenever I’m in a low mood i watch your videos bc you give off best big sis ever energy and it makes me feel better ❤ also your talent, vibe, and educational style is unmatched
🥹❤️
Alex! You have mad skills and watching you for the past few years has upped my makeup game! Thank you for always taking the time to do this for us :)
Thank you so much love! 💜
This was so gorgeous. You hit that sweet spot between glamorous and undone. Thank you for all the little details and the insouciant attitude. Those new quads from Sigma look excellent.
This is above & beyond blending & your final look is STUNNING. 👏👏😽😽
I love your channel so much. You are stunningly beautiful but it’s your personality and content that keeps bringing me back.
I have a wedding this saturday and have been dreaming of this eyeshadow look since 2 weeks, I just couldnt find the motivation to find a tutorial on youtube. And now I see this. PERFECT🙌🏼 thank you very much
this look is so stunning. I love it! Thank you for not using fake lashes, I find them to be not practical in daily life.
I’ll never get tired of hearing Mitch’s interest/enthusiasm as he compliments part of your look. It’s SO cute!
Just beautiful makeup Alexandra, bravo❤❤❤
Love the lip shape here. It’s so classic and pouty. Looks great on you 👍👍
I don’t think I have followed a tutorial ever, but I followed this one with my Viseart mattes. I love this look.

those tones are SO beautiful
First make up tutorial I’ve watched all the way through . Love it!
I would love to see a classic 80s Dynasty-type lewk, as well as a wearable New Wave lewk. Now that I’m over 50, I want alllll the colorssssss. ❤
I'm obsessed with the nude liner trick! it looks so good!!
I just did this look recently in Vegas and got the best compliments I've ever gotten about my makeup.
I love this look, Alex! It's kind of edgy but soft. Looks awesome on you. Thank you for the tutorial🙏🥰
This was very classy. I love that you shared so much on technique and shading. The attention to detail was so good. I love that Java shade. The artist in you comes out so much. I am guilty of using the same brush or just two for eye looks. I love your videos.
Dude you’ve been on FIRE the last month. And your videos are always dope. But DAMN, Alex!💖💃☀️✨

You are the best instructor and artist , thank you for your skills and joy ❤❤❤

You are very kind to show this stunning look! Beautiful placement and blending ❤
