With a lot of the other mashups I've heared the different instumentals (particularly Will's) seem like they're clashing but the way you blend them makes them seem like they were always ment to be played together! Truly is the best version!
Unlike the various mashups I've heard of Friend Like Me, where you can get the impression of the Genies competing over Aladdin's attention, THIS mashup sounds more like their all working together on a single wish, combining they’re magic for one giant spectacle and playing off one another's bits in order to maximize the illusion of Aladdin as a prince. And Honestly I PREFER that idea, especially with the general opinion of these four being more like a family of Genies. Heck, in that regard, you can argue that this song is a rare moment of the family being on the SAME page and having a BLAST with it.
I think with Friend Like Me, since the lyrics were about Genie, it's understandable why it sounds like they're competing with each other, as opposed to Prince Ali where it's all about him and Genie is singing his praises.
Way too many things to say so I’ll do a quick summary: -Beginning is flawless and the ending hypes me up so much -The chorus is constantly well edited -Will’s such a good hype man but Robin, Elsie and Anna are full of personality -The “then come and meet” line is such a great addition and always makes me smile -You really put effort into the four genies and I really appreciate that for this mashup. TLDR: Absolutely the best version, you weren’t even kidding
I love how I watched Aladdin when I was a kid, then later when I was still a kid I had Anna's version pop up on my RUclips recommended and loved it, then watched the live action, loved Wills singing - and then last year I discovered all the different mashups - so glad to have received another onto my recommended!
You know, I always notice that in every mashup that features Annapantsu's version always has her doing the line, "Then come and meet his spectacular coterie".
