    A - eat:
    1. Yam (purple sweet potato)
    2. Chlorella
    3. Anthocyanin rich fruits (red and purple fruits)
    4. Whole grains like oats
    5. Coffee (percolated through a paper filter to capture coffee fat, choose coffee grain with less fat)
    B - lower these 3 metabolic parameters:
    1 - blood sugar
    2 - triglycerides
    3 - Apo B cholesterol
    C - avoid these 2 toxines:
    1 - alcohol
2 - fructose (basically added fructose or fruit juice: there is less digestible fructose in the whole fruit).
=> beware of fatty diets and carbohydrate friendly diets because they damage your liver even if you are skinny.
    you are welcome!

@@carnicavegirl7214 each person reacts differently to food. you need to find your own answers.
That being said, if you think that yam is too sweet for you, you can make your body believe that it was fed a super sweet meal and get it into a hyperglucose response.
the placebo effect is a real thing, and you can also use it in your profit thinking that no food is too sweet. Stick to your diet, but change your mindset.
next time, don't starve yourself, try this:

I would like to know the procesessed fats, used in study. Not all fats are equal. *Industrial seed oils* (high Linoleic acid) were invented when there was no meaningful health regulation. They are hard to avoid if you eat food from restaurants and processed foods. Massively consumed now these are Canola (rapeseed) oil, Corn oil, Cottonseed oil, Grapeseed oil, Peanut oil, Rice bran oil, Safflower oil, Soybean oil, and Sunflower oil. These oils are high in an omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid (or PUFA) called Linoleic Aciid and are highly inflammatory. Industrial seed oils also tend to contain fats that are oxidized or structurally damaged at the molecular level . This isn’t their natural state but occurs from industrial processing, during storage, or when they’re heated and used for cooking.... And we're not including olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil. Compared to most seed oils, these fruit oils have only low to moderate amounts of linoleic acid. It's not a coincidence that increased vegetable oil consumption correlates with higher rates of obesity, heart disease, cancer and diabetes.

But unfortunately I couldn't resist buying a half bottle of red wine...wierd but true i really don't like alcohol and I stopped drinking for the most part, but the occasional red wine, I cannot avoid. I remember being surprised about all the discussion of fatty liver (脂肪肝) because that was not something I heard about that much here in the US. Now, ten years later, everyone is talking about it.

You can still can fruit and veggies in a healthy way
I have fruit trees to include plums and figs and they were the most amazing tasting fruit off the vine.
I didn't want to waste these so I learned how to can.
When researching the best method for me I couldn't believe how much sugar people use to can fruit.
One person used almost a pound for pound ratio of fruit and sugar. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
    Fresh fruit is sweet enough.
I then found a canner that literally didn't used any sugar and used limes, lemons and oranges sliced instead with the fruit and it tasted great onced the batch was ready for canning.
I then canned it and enjoyed it for over 6 months.
This canned fruit was the best.

I would slowly incorporate these foods as you meet other goals such as weight loss if needed, exercise, and specifically strength training which builds muscle mass and burns fat quicker. Intermittent fasting to help repair organs and burn fat that is already stored. Then eat whole foods such as green leafy veggies, bitter seed fruits, little to no alcohol consumption, no processed foods, only sugars from natural foods. Eating whole grains in moderation and watching portion sizes to.
I hope this helps? Everyone's body is different. I would speak with a whole foods dietary specialist and specifically talk about Type 2 reversal and healthier organs.

Average Inuit lifespan was (and I mean *was* as things have changed) lower because of the dangerous environment in which they lived. They typically succumbed to accidental death due to things like freezing to death or drowning. Metabolically, however, the Inuit *were* remarkably healthy. The incidence of type 2 diabetes amongst the Inuit population was zero when they were first contacted by Europeans (we know this because of how their metabolic health declined rapidly upon exposure to the western diet).
Eating as the Inuit did is absolutely healthy. They had a very different microbiome of course, but it was well adapted to consuming material non digestible by humans (such as gristle and bone).
Since they consume western food now, their lifespan is low for the very same reasons that our lifespans are low (with things like snowmobiles, rifles, life jackets and access to hydrocarbons for heating, they are not dying accidentally at the high rate they used to) and that is that they are now dying as the result of fructose and ethanol induced metabolic dysfunction.
Fructose and ethanol are poisons. Period full stop. To make it simple for the layperson: if you consume poison in large quantities every day you *will die* as the result of that behavior. It isn't rocket science.

      Same w most native nations
      Native
Hawaiians when they returned to indigenous diet lose weight rapidly.. type 2 diabetes as well
China has the highest number of diabetes worldwide. ( highest pop ) Due largely to the eroding of traditional dietary practices.
      1 % in 80s. 2014 up to 10 %
Rn I think it's closer to 15% of the population.
Pakistan is currently the country w the highest prevalence

Thank you for another great video! When you get a chance, could you please comment on the use of aquafaba as an egg/dairy/oil substitute? I find it makes super-delicious oil-free, sugar-free, home-made granola, but since it is not a real food, I imagine it's probably better to avoid. Is it as bad as oil? Worse?
My granola recipe if anyone is interested:
Fold just enough beaten aquafaba into a mixture of soaked/sprouted buckwheat groats and rolled oats to loosely bind them together, spread them on a baking sheet, and bake until crunchy.
You can add fruit such as dates if you want it sweet.
No doubt oat groats would be better than rolled oats, but I haven't tried that yet.

This is what makes getting healthy and healing frustrating. Too many studies with too many biases on what literally will work.
Our bodies are not ALL the same. There are genetic and ethnic differences.
Therefore we need to use common sense and discretion when following anything as hard rules.
Also, although I like the information provided I have to truly hone in on the facts, and draw connections to previous videos, look up studies as examples, or go back through the current video to get an accurate understanding. There seems to be a lot of information that is not needed when trying to follow advice or suggestions to reverse these issues.
Also, at the end of the video, it would help to get a recap of the video's key points and hear clear and concise information on how to use the information for the best results.
For example, it would helpful to provide a menu for a specified length on how to incorporate these foods into a daily diet to reverse type 2 diabetes and become insulin sensitive or to reduce fatty liver or inflammation in the body. That would be great.
Lastly, are you recommending a vegetarian diet since you say saturated fat is not good, and SF is what we find in meat dairy, and eggs? It's not been clear in the videos I've watched so far.
I've seen studies presented by Dr. Jason Fung, along with studies that show that eating fat doesn't make you fat and that our brain functions better off of some animal fat. Could you talk about that please so I can get a better understanding?
Also, showing HOW to become insulin sensitive when you are insulin resistant and eating whole grains would help as well.
You're very good at providing so much factual information it would help to break it down into bite-sized pieces😊

I may have insulin resistance, as I have nocturia. 2 4 times a night. I did keto, lost weight for years, then plateaued this year. I'm stuck at 125 for a petite 5 ft, 70 year old. I drink a mushroom coffee that contains instant coffee. What are your thoughts on instant coffee.

The concept of ‘insulin resistance’ makes no sense. If your cells have truly become resistant to insulin then no sugar would get into any cells and you would not survive. You would not be able to even move because you would have no source of energy getting into muscle cells. It’s not a case of cells being resistant to insulin, it’s a case of sugar saturation in the cells and no matter how much insulin your pancreas produces, the cells are already saturated with glucose. There is simply no room available in the cell to add more sugar, so it remains in the blood stream and triggers the pancreas to keep releasing insulin. In an effort to get the excess sugar out of circulation, insulin then converts the sugar to fat. For example, diabetics are encouraged to exercise to decrease their blood sugar. Why? Because exercise burns the sugar stored in the muscles for fuel. This decreases the sugar in the muscle cells thereby making room for the insulin to pull glucose from the blood to replenish the sugar that was used by the muscles for energy and decreases the amount circulating in the blood. This is why you never test your blood sugar within 2 hours after a meal. The body needs time to break down the meal and for all the cells to absorb all of the circulating sugar that they need. It’s after this process that you test the blood to check the amount of sugar that is still in the blood. If you ingested more sugar than your cells need, the amount left in your blood will be high. The concept of insulin resistance is a medical farce.
