    macrobiotic diet saved my life in the 80's. i used brown rice and lentils for 3 months. to prepare for it, i stopped eating synthetics, and processed foods for 3 months. still, on the 3rd night, i wanted to die! i swear my hair hurt! lost over 60lbs. then went to my no synthetic/processed food diet. i was doing triathlons a year later. then i started my orchard. i have grapes, apples, pears, peaches, plums, many nuts, several different mulberries and tons of rasp, black, blue, straw, goose, goumi, etc. berries. i also eat supper spicey food. i absolutely love cayenne pepper. growing berries is easy and they take little room. get rid of all that worthless grass and plant some berry bushes. every morning from late spring to early autumn, i walk through my orchard and eat breakfast. the mental health gains alone makes this a necessary thing. this is why i am completely against high density living. to me, that is no life, it is storage! it is separated from nature. it is separated from life. it is artificial, incomplete, and unhealthy. it is impossible to have balance in life away from nature. it is impossible to attain balance without learning and flowing with nature. great vid 🙂

      That’s great that you are so privileged. Most people, I imagine would love to live as you do, but it’s important to be aware of how our societal system creates inequities and propagates this addictive way of eating and living

    • @AlsInd
      @AlsInd Месяц назад

      @@cobylyons4439 yes, and i was one of its victims until i decided to no longer follow societal systems which is why i was able to achieve this, granted it took a few decades, by living frugally so i could take advantage of opportunities when they arise. i have been living on less than $12k/yr since 2005 and soon i should be able to half that. yes, there are inequities in our society. mainly because the individuals in our society are too blind to understand their lazy surrender of their future to their corporate masters. there are still many places in usa that have cheap land. my location is no longer one of them but when i purchased my acre with a cabin on it on the edge of the town, i paid $42k for it. i will soon be totally off grid and grow over 90% of what i eat. i had to learn and do it all on my own but i would not change it for the world. first step, ignore the brain washing of the corporate elites and learn to live independent from the materialism and consumer disease they constantly push on you. you can only be manipulated if you allow it. yes, you have to get lucky too but the key is to be ready for it. back to basics, cut the irrelevant stuff. do with less, eliminate debt, save money so you can jump on some land when prices crash. make sure there is water and decent growing season and a south facing land (more important the further north you go). do not take a 30yr mortgage but a 15yr or shorter. meanwhile learn how to grow, how to build, how to fix things. the more things you can do yourself, the less you will rely on others. i have not eaten anything i did not prepare myself since 1982. coffee, soda, candy, cookies, chips, and other processed foods went out about the same time. i never spend money on anything that does not return value and capability to me. i have a lot of tools but have no fancy furniture. i build my own computers and they are dated but magically, here i am. only buy things that will save you money or give you capabilities you did not have. it is amazing how much money we waste automatically in our lives. learn to be more introspective, focused, and disciplined and good things will follow. i was supposed to die in the 80's according to my doctors. i have never met anyone who was in as bad a situation as i was in the early 80's and i made it. anyone can if they work at it. fight the injustice, and never give in 🙂

      Only 1% of domestic corn is grown for human consumption; the rest is for animal feed and ethanol fuel. Would be great to stop subsidizing animal consumption, but the powers that be have no interest in that.

So I subscribed and can go back to my fav vids and listen again while taking notes. Also, began taking the NAC pro plus and my nerve issues in my hands have been improving. Thats after suffering almost a decade and trying all kinds of “remedies”without consistent relief. I think I’ll have a clearer picture after 3-6 months. But I’m hopeful now after almost giving up. Thanks so much for the effort and time you’ve put into these videos. It’s rare for the general public to hear from such an accomplished physician on these topics!!

    Late summer I can find wild black grapes near a trail by the creek. I pick these grapes and the leaves (to make vegan dolma). Because the grapes grow wild, the seeds are intact. I will remember to pick more this summer. The wild leaves are so much bigger than what you can find in jarred grape leaves sold at supermarkets. I have seen other women picking the leaves too every summer.

    I wonder what the state of their knees are (of the sumo wrestlers). Supposedly for each kilo you have it amounts to 4 kilos of pressure on your knees.

    Ursolic acid in apple peel is good, but choline, phophatidylcholine, betaine, and l-carnitine are ultimately converted into trimethylamine n-oxide "which actually raises your blood pressure." Where did the choline, phophatidylcholine, betaine, and l-carnitine come from? You recommend not to eat foods high in them, but what are those foods? You were just talking about apple peels. I don't see the connection. There's something obvious in there that I'm missing.

    Well, you made two obvious mistakes by the 5 1/2 minute mark. First, she said there was more chlorogenic acid if you have cappuccino and the new said less if you have milk. So that’s a contradiction. And you said that dark roasted coffee has more caffeine. That’s not true it has less.

    I really like your content but I also really wish you would get to the point. I’m not sure why you feel it is important to have a 40 minute long tutorial for something that should only take ten minutes. Just list them at the beginning and then talk to your hearts content so those of us who are busy can get on with our lives. I guarantee you that if you do it that way I’d be more than happy to give you a thumbs up. As it is I’m about to click the do not recommend button.
