Did u notice, colour grading of the video is warm when she sings raag bahar and colour grading changes to cool with raag malhar emphasising the warm and cold flavour of respective raags. Very nice 👌👌
This is the type of content I pay my internet bills for. I would humbly request you not to ever stop making these videos. It is an absolute soul soothing and knowledge intense one. Thanks for keeping this channel alive.🤍

Your explanations of spring and its connections to the music are really wonderful. This traditional song I know about because my mum is a fan of Bilqees Khanam and she sang a popular version of this song sometime in the 1960s. Growing up my mum would often listen to this song. Another favourite was Anokha ladla by Bilqees Khanam
Where were you all this time? So happy to see you back. Please post regularly. There must be many fans and amatures who love you and the way you teach..❤
For the first time, I'm learning the science behind these 'raags' and it is quite intriguing. Thank you. I also delightfully noticed how you easily switch from using pure Urdu words to very difficult Hindi words (that I don't really understand at first and then the context explains).
So happy to see you're back. It's wonderful to listen to your melodious voice, your lively smile and last but not the least your explicit explanations.
प्रणाम 🙏 I can not begin to thank you Anuja ma'am for resuming with your videos (which are not only educational but insightful in many ways) after a hiatus. Raja sir's voice is like heaven to the ears. Thank you sir for this food for our souls 🙏 Listening to you both reminds me of this couplet: "ghar tera kash mere ghar k barabar hota, gar tu na aati, teri awaz to aati rehti... " सादर नमन गुरुजनों 🙏
Ma'am have been following your videos for a long time really glad to see you back. Your music analysis and voice is just terrific. Nowadays there are really a few people left maintaining the sanctity of our classical music that forms the very core of our culture and tradition. Really glad to see you as a part of that community. ❤❤
I've recently started learning music and stumbled upon your channel. I'm amazed by how Hindustani music deeply connects feelings, moods, and expression. It feels like I'm diving into a whole new world of depth and richness. Your playlist on understanding the basics of music theory has truly inspired me to delve deeper into music and learn properly. I'm even searching for a teacher now. Your latest video was a delightful treat! ☺️
You are an excellent teacher !! You explain the intricacies of music so beautifully making it sound so simple . The best thing is that you don’t show a pompous attitude . Of course you are an amazing singer too . May Maa Saraswati bless you abundantly always and forever !!
OMG - 😱 anuja Kamat After so long time .. welcome back.. I was sad to see you were not doing videos.. but finally what a pleasant surprise.. You are first one who was able to basic of music in which laymen can understand and enjoy. Thank you for coming back and starting your work. BTW: you are looking little different ( short hair) Anyways : wish you my best greetings for continuing your work here.
I'm 21, I love classical & Semi classical Indian Music! I listen a lot of Qawwalis & Gazals of the legends because of my love of Urdu poetry! This is how I was introduced to the Hindustani Sangeet and I want to learn more about it & No one is better than you mam❤, My friends don't get these raags, they thinks it's boring but I will prove them wrong one day!
I was wondering too when I first heard the song a few minutes ago ...there are slight differences in arohona and aborohana ..Very interesting !...many thanks and looking forwards to more such videos ❤
Your precious and uplifting voice is such an immortal blessing. Please stay well and let us know where to find your songs, and where to hear you in live shows and presentations. With best wishes.
Absolutely mesmerizing presentation with amazing fluency and intelligence. Just like everyone, I missed you a lot as well. Please do not stop. We will be always with you. I am from the US, BTW.
Love how your eyes light up when you speak about Raagas! You've been away too long, welcome back! Looking fwd to hear you share your thoughts about classical music, and your creations.
Nice explanation. I talked on this both to hindustani and Karnatic musicologists. Sigh the same Hindustani musicians, my point was that these days, most of the concerts are held during weekdays mostly in the early afternoon or evening early night. So if musicians stick strictly to the convention that we can only sing season- snd time-of-the-day ragas, many early morning or forenoon ragas would eventually become less common and even disappear. I did not quite get a satisfactory answer. One traditional excellent Karnatic vocalist and teacher, but did not get any break in her musical journey. , gave me this excellent explanation: A good musician can and will create whatever mood appropriate for the raga with his/her skills, no matter what time if the day it is and what the season is. Do Karnatic musicians often sing Bhoopalam, typically a sunrise rage in evening afternoon recitals. Kollengode S Venkataraman
The best thing one could say as an artist/musician is what you ended your video with "don't shame anybody's choices and preferences with regard to music". Kudos for that. You're an amazing singer and an even better teacher. ❤
Thanks for acknowledging this! Earlier, I myself thought that just because I have learnt classical music, my choices in music are the best and I would shame other people for the music they like. Now I realise how wrong I was. So this statement is also a reminder for myself that everyone's music choice is unique and it's beautiful because their personal story is attached to it! 🌱
how beautifully u explain all the time!!. I enjoy each and every second of your videos... the way u bring the simplicity, beauty and understanding of ragas at the same time that is remarkable and we are always grateful to u... lots of love, respect and hugs for u❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just love her purity of thoughts and no drama or agenda style of explaining. It has freshness ! Also accurate and experienced knowledge not just textbook.
Your explanation develops more and more interest in me towards the Indian Classical Music. I try practicing it whenever I get time. I've also seen all your past lectures and request you to make more like them. And, thank you for the beautiful explanation.
Behen ji, aapki aawaz sunkar ekdum emotional ho gyi. Ekdum dil se aapke saath gaane ka dil karne laga. Learning classical music for several years was one of the best things and I'm truly thankful to my mother for giving me this opportunity. It's been sone time since I stopped with the music lessons however I still try to recognise the raags used in some songs... I was ecstatic when I was able to correctly guess raag bahar in sakal ban and raag vrindavani sarang in sayiyan hato jaao...though with the help of old music class notes Your voice is truly mesmerizing...requesting more raags sung in your voice...eg:- raag miya malhar, raag darbari kanhara, etc Thank you so much for your efforts and your content!! Ps:- Raag malhar gives off the feeling of longing for something....at times i find myself humming the bandish of this raag..raag Miya malhar ... Your interpretation is truly amazing and made me feel closer to music than ever.
Anuja ma’am You are just amazing at explaining. Have been learning classical music, but have never come across an explanation like this even from the most experienced teachers. A humble request to start your own course on classical music. You are just incredible
Anjua ji ,your understanding of raaga and the way you explain it makes it very interesting. Wish all our music teachers make the teaching it enjoyable.
I want to say thanks to you ma'am. Consider you as my first guru of music as I have learnt basics from your videos and now I'm able to play and sing a bit Looking forward to more videos from you on raag Gyan
