I m a new subscriber to your channel. I am also learning tabla and you made it so easy to understand about these taals and the so many hit old numbers which were based on those. You btw have an undoubtedly beautiful voice and its so soothing. Looking forward to more videos like this. Many thanks and wishing you the best 😊
I wish Anuja ji had million of views. The way she explains music is just so remarkable that even a musically challenged person like me can understand it. She is such a great teacher that when she had just introduced Deepchand Taal, believe me the first song that popped in my head was "Piya tose naina lage re" (from Guide) . I had a perfect Deja Vu moment thinking I would get goosebumps if "Piya tose naina lage re" was based on Deepchand taal and a minute later I just heard her sing. It's like Anuja ji can raise my consciousness with her style of teaching. 🙏🙏🙏
If she was a good a teacher she would have them. She is a bad teacher. (This is for low IQ people and subhumans (in case they are triggered, a normal human would not get triggered)): Being a bad teacher has got nothing to do with what you know. People with immense knowledge can be extremely bad teacher and people with zero or very limited knowledge can be very good teachers)
Nobody serving genuine and valuable things to each and everyone but mam you are a wonderful music teacher one in a million thank you so much for such a awesome video May God bless you abundantly 😊
You have an incredible knack of teaching with help of examples which etches the concept in the listeners memory. You are an absolute asset to all avid learners of music. I wish I had a Guru like you. God bless you!
Really finding no words to express myself about your talent, abilities, strengths, skills, control, voice and teaching methods.. You are blessed and amazing contributor.❤🎉
Your videos are delightfully produced. I have frankly learnt more about Indian classical music from your channel than from anywhere else. Please keep up your good work !
N not to forget , ur a great singer and the choices of songs are eternal ..... great learnings .... thanks for explaining the taals in such a simple n tech savvy way
Fantastic, Well explained and Keeep it up !.... This is my favourite time signature, but never knew it had so many flavours.... I was expecting you will also sing "Ae Dile Naadan" , but i can understand that its a long list and not every song can be included here....
OMG, I must say, Anuja Ji, you've sung it so beautifully. I keep replaying the part of "Mere Hamsafar" again and again. I have listened to the original by Alka Ji, but I swear, you've sung it even better than her. Ah, Alka Ji is my all-time favorite, and it's hard to appreciate someone else. I have played both versions back to back, and I find yours more natural. 1. When you sing "Mere hamsafar, mere hamsafar; mere paas aa, mere paas aa" for the first time, it doesn't feel like you're forcing the stress; it flows naturally from your notes and expression. So synchronized. 2. The tabla beat gives it a different touch as well, especially with the volumes being well equalized. 3. The absence of extra echo makes your performance stand on its own. The way you've pronounced the words and infused emotion into them makes it a unique rendition. I request you to please record the full song on your channel, too. Thank you. @AnujaK20
This is called research…. And effective transmission of knowledge… Anuja Kamat ji… I have been liking and following your work for some years now… but this one made me subscribe to your channel… Absolutely wonderful and inspiring work 👌😊
Great! Your teaching is in such simple terms that a layman like me can easily understand. The teaching methods adopted by you are novel and unique. The subjects are veried and they cover almost all facets of music. लगे रहो !
How simple your explanation is. Our P T teachers used to say- One two three four.. Our music teacher used to say- कौनसा ठेका तुम्हे पसंद है? I replied , I like any सरकारी ठेका. He kicked out from his class..
Wow! Such a simple and insightful explanation of what is actually a very intricate part of indian classical music - "laya" or rhythm. "Laya-taal" is a vast ocean. As explained- 1, 2, and 4 are popular beat cycles and they form the basis of other cycles like 8, 12, 16 beats. But 7 is a non-intuitive cycle, perhaps that's why all its compositions are so beautiful.
Wonderful!! I would comment on one thing. Songs in Deepchandi can be compressed to 7 beats Rupak & presented very nicely. Lata Mangeshkar sang "Aap Ki Nazaron Ne Samjha" (originally in Deepchandi) in Rupak Taal at her 1976 US concert tour...personally, I love the Rupak version.
Didn't know these many seven beat songs existed in Hindi cinema. Thanks for the detailed explanation. And remembering all songs and performing them all in a single take (I guess) is superb.
I believe that I left a comment when I watched this vid in the past. I repeat, this one vid is extremely beautiful and informative. I definitely disagree at a few points. But diff of opinion enhances musical knowledge. Thank you Anuja. Music lovers are proud of you.
What a beautiful video.. being a Tabla player myself it was a treat getting to know the 'Pashto' taal, and also other songs based on the 7 beat cycle. And I guess in the original version of the song "Piya tose naina lage re" rupak taal and it's variations are used and not the deepchandi taal.
Anuja maam your voice makes my mind very calm I sometimes watch your videos again to just listen your singing, please some videos of your singing also I want to listen it very badly ❤
I use to watch ur video in 2013 or 14 ,when u use to make it with ur twin sister, after that I get busy in my life. nice to see u again . well explained the basic of music theory
The app used in this video for tabla is called 'iTabla pro'. It's available only on Apple products I guess. 🌱
Yes true. iTabla Pro app is only available on ios . Just to add, Sur Sadhak would be good alternative app for Android
I m a new subscriber to your channel. I am also learning tabla and you made it so easy to understand about these taals and the so many hit old numbers which were based on those. Please please please make more videos about odd time signatures like 7/8 or 5/7
Thanks, learnt a lot about ताल, बीट्स, rythm. 🙏🏻

Thanx for explaining taals in such a lucid way.
I am always struggling with this taalas. Hope to be less scared while singing hence forth
Nobody serving genuine and valuable things to each and everyone but mam you are a wonderful music teacher one in a million thank you so much for such a awesome video May God bless you abundantly 😊
Wow!! I am a novice in music but this lady has a musically blessed soul..
Excellent ! The red dots moving alongside the numbers made it very easy to follow.
अप्रतिम सादरीकरण. असं नीट समजल्यावर आम्हाला बिट्स वर गाणे कळू लागत आहे व आनंद द्विगुणित होत आहे. अजून असेच पार्ट आवडतील. 👌👏🌹🙏

You explain it so beautifully and make it simple- the hallmark of a good teacher. Thanks for making this.

Great tutorial...thanks for sharing such a great insights of classical music in a simple way.
Your videos are delightfully produced. I have frankly learnt more about Indian classical music from your channel than from anywhere else. Please keep up your good work !
So happy to see you uploading kind of regularly. Thank you for inspiring many to continue their classical music journey, didi. 🙏
Wonderful naration.....
A lot of lessons are learnt by upcmng musicians...
God bless you..
