- A federal judge sentenced Marilyn Mosby, the former top prosecutor in Baltimore City, to one year of home detention and 3 years of supervised release to be served concurrently, after two perjury convictions and a mortgage fraud conviction.

That is not true, every first time offender in most jurisdictions gets a break. In California drunk cops sentences are always reduced to misdemeanors .

I get it that first time offenders typically catch a break but she should be held to a higher standard based on her former position and being a role model. Any regular person would be in jail for a minimum of 3 years.
