But he broke the law by the way he cooked the books and in doing so got caught trying to influence the election by breaking the law in the way he did. That’s all just like Al Capone they didn’t get him for all the people he killed but for cooking the books. Trump was found guilty of what he did with the money not who he chose to have an affair with. That was all you do the crime you do the time. There was nothing political about who judged him.

@@rogerthat4545 Ok, I'll bite. There's nothing wrong with holding someone accountable for a crime, but with PROPORTIONALITY. Do you think a first time drug offender should be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison? Somehow I doubt that.
The judge and DA assigned to this case are not known as tough as nails "throw the book at them" guys, and are quite lenient. Yet, when he gets Trump they suddenly turns into Alex Cabot from Law and Order, and Judge Roy Bean.
If this case were tried by these folks on anyone else, it would be a misdemeanor. Yet on Trump they charged it as multiple felonies. If you can't see the egregious partisanship here, you are blind. This sets a dangerous precedent, because it legitimizes taking political affiliation into account during trial and sentencing. You may not mind because your party is currently in power, but consider if things were reversed.
