Far cry 1 not included as it had multiple levels and wasn't truly open world. Far cry 2 map vs Far cry 3, Far cry 4 , Far cry primal , Far cry 5, Far cry new dawn.

Why does far cry 4 seem bigger then 5? Must be the mountains and being high up
Bruh same, I was swearing to all my friends that Far Cry 4 had the biggest map. And it still does look that way. Maybe it’s the different biomes that you find in Kyrat vs what you see in Montana. Which is mostly just woods and lakes
Really? Cause I felt the exact opposite. Maybe due to the flat open farm lands and wide pitched roads.
@@frozentrip9175 well i recently played FC5 and I already knew this was the biggest in all the saga, I mean, while in Kyrat i could travel easily by land by all the map, in FC5 i always require the damn heli to travel all along, you didn't have the same feelings??
@@mariano98ify Nah I did, Ironically this game has the most means of transportation than any other game but ironically each one is a bigger chore than simply just taking the heli

Far cry 1 is more open word than far cry 2 . Everything in far cry 2 is forced you can take down enemy outpost 10 times before you complete the mission , because you cant go around , far cry 2 is a semi open world exactly like far cry 1 , the difference is in far cry 1 you can attack enemy camps or villages from different angles unlike far cry 2 , where you are forced to attack from only 1 direction unless you try to climb a mountain or cross a river which is almost impossible . In the end far cry 1 feels the more polished and completed game unless you are playing for the strory , to be fair both are garbage, maybe far cry 2 is the bigger garbage, because you are again forced to go from a to b , which happens to be exactly in the opposite site of the map , where in far cry 1 the story is also really bad , but its like a low budget comedy , its bad , but its funny at the same time .
Blood Dragon is also not included?
I wish they had recycled 5's map and just given it the New Dawn look. The Whitetail Mountains weren't anywhere near the nuke's detonations!

@@DGVFX eh maybe not the ENTIRE map since 2 nukes went off so close to Holland Valley
So from what I know, 1 single nuke went off kinda north west of Whitetail mountains
The second nuke was Jacob's region

I'd love to see how death stranding compared taking into account the whole region
Kinda weird how inconsistent it's been, you'd think they'd try to make the maps bigger and bigger as they went along

it needs to fit the gameplay and game flow they have in mind. A forty minute drive one way only to clear out a bandit camp is ofputting to say the least

@@greek_mfd4116 whenever I think about playtesters I remember that HL2 story about one walking in a circle for 12 minutes straight so they cut out a cool part of the game to facilitate such mouthbreathers
They really should have made New Dawns Map bigger, but he did froget to add the expedition maps
New Dawn was SO much fun!!! I was disappointed at how small the map was though... I saw 30 outposts and I was so confident that there was more of the map to be uncovered under the clouds but nope lmfao

wisnu haryanto New Dawn is AWESOME but one of the main reasons why New Dawn was so good is that you get to revisit places from Far Cry 5 and it gives you nostalgia. So I suggest you play Far Cry 5 first (which may I add is also awesome!) and then play New Dawn after 💯
You would think far cry 2 is long which in my opinion I think it’s still the biggest because it takes forever to go to point A to point B 😭 and maybe it’s the engine it runs on aswell
Far cry 2 was really big and ambitious for its time
I finished Far Cry New Dawn in like 3 days. Far Cry 5 in 1 week. Don't know why people hated 5 so much, it was as good as 4.
I hated 5 for the first day or so but once I got used to having to actually explore and unlock everything I loved it
I liked the setting in 5 much better. Besides I just love rescuing roadside hostages.

true man, when I beat the game for the first time and I was just in the middle progress I thought ''ok, this is the last missions, where are the credits?'' and then, boom. agent willis asks to enter in the plane to land into a new island...

I just thought it was worth mentioning far cry 5 in far cry new dawn has the same exact Matt so it's the same size and everything that's why all the outposts are at the same place

I think map size killed Farcry in terms of story. They went bigger map, more movement, less detail vs smaller map, more detail. It makes sense, it just isn't Farcry.

I uh I thought as much. When it comes to how small new dawn was compared to 5. I dont mind some shrinkage. But it's literally the smallest map. Like the white tail mountains part of 5 are 99 percent non existent in new dawn and I dont understand why.
Far Cry 4 honestly seems bigger than Far Cry 5. I've played both and FC5 feels smaller, probably because of the mountains and fog in FC4
Yep it does give that impression love the mystery in the map of far cry 4
It’d be cool if far cry 6 had both a mix of people and zombies in it. And they brought the far cry three feel to it with the jungle and islands I can easily see it be a fun ass game.

For sure, I also find it very interesting that the map will be 70-80 percent urban and suburban area.

Sucks how new dawn is the smallest, I just got finished with 5 and loved it but now I'm annoyed that this one is WAY smaller and I expect then it will be way shorter in relation. Not good. Especially since in the 30 mins of new dawn I've played, its awesome!

Another piece of nitpicking, did you take into account that FC Primal doesn't have meters as measure units, but instead it measures distance in feet? (I'll stop after this question, that's a promise.) :-)
Yep saw that, it's a weird metric system but I guess it makes sense with the setting

Yep I did all far cry games are close in size let's see the rumoured next gen far cry 6, it could be a lot bigger and more detailed

If you want to have a long game with much more to do, then you should definetly pick Far Cry 5. New Dawn is very good and fun, but it is dissapointely short. Both games have equal gameplay, but New Dawn looks some better. I would reccomend to start with the 5, and maybe buy New Dawn later.
For me far cry 4 was the best setting

@@DGVFX i know far cry 1 has levels but you know you can atleast try to use noclip command and see where the world ends of 1 level and go to every level and do that i know it would take some time but i think its the biggest map of them all

it was not open world but separate levels, but if you add all of the together it's close to far cry 2 in terms of size.
This is wrong, you included Faiths region in the new Don map, that isn't a playable area
