this was such a fun journey! i need to find all my stubs and relieve the mems. my first concert (that i chose to attend) was Fall Out Boy in spring 2006. openers were Phantom Planet, From First to Last, Hawthorne Heights and All-American Rejects 😩 living in Pittsburgh virtually none of the bands that ruled alt music in the late 2000s/early 10s i loved came here so i’m vicariously living through this
As someone who has kept hoarding receipts to either reflect on how much money I have spent since I was 10 I too relate to saving all of my ticket stubs from movies/concerts/shows but instead of them all being collected into one nice album they are hidden in various shoe boxes (with other hoarded memories), journals, and cups within my bedroom.
I love videos like this, I haven’t been going to shows as long as you have because I’m a little younger, but my first was Family Values 2007(Korn headlined that year, and I saw Atreyu, Flyleaf and Evanescence as well!) and I still have all of my ticket stubs from every show, broadway show, and most of the movies I’ve ever seen. I love looking at them and thinking about all the memories! 🖤
I love these kinds of video only knew a couple of bands. My ticket collection starts with John Denver and last show was Cher’s abba tour. In between too many shows but mostly cure, morrisey and madonna
Omg you saw The Killers in early 2000’s. 😭😩 Luuuucky! My dad didn’t let me go to GA shows till senior year of high school. I didn’t get to see them till Day & Age. 😒 I’m also jelly that you saw Keane. 😭
Ok I still bump that Daniel Beddingfield song on the regular. It's a banger!! "gotta make it, gonna make, gonna make it thruuuuu” I was born in '92 and it is blowing my mind how many of the same artists we've seen. I saw Spoon, the YYY's, Death Cab, The Killers all around the same time you did. Love your channel Abby!
This was such a great video, thank you for sharing!! I have the exact same ticket stub diary and I had to pull it out to see how long it's been since I've seen a live show; October 2019 (sob!) Bon Iver.....I so miss live shows too : (
I did not expect to recognize as many of those bands as I did!! Does that mean you're less hipster than I thought, or I'm more hipster than I thought??? I kid I kid. But Wow I never hear anyone talk about Anna Nalick, I was obsessed in the mid-oughts and I still listen to her! And then Keane, Snow Patrol, Death Cab, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Rooney....what a tour of my past music tastes! And I'm extremely jealous that you've seen Florence and The Machine and Frightened Rabbit (that one stings), oh and Sara Watkins! I looove her album. Okay, I'm done flailing about music we have in common. Thanks for the video.
So cool. I need that journal. I still have my concert ticket stubs except for the e-tickets 🎟 for some reason I forgot to print them out before the shows and now they're gone 🙃 😭
I used to listen to these bands in early high school. Than some how I started to listen to garage punk/surf punk and never looked back. I live in California so I think that genre is popular here.
Had to watch for the mentions of the shows we went to together 😬😬😬 Also those gross wristbands made me laugh because I remember when you were doing that way back when 😂
I *just* saw that they changed the name of the Key Arena today when I looked at my Facebook memories and saw that DTHB with Death Cab and Alabama Shakes was 5 years ago today. (And Death Cab was the only show I went to in 2020 at the Showbox.) I really miss concerts... it’s been almost a year since we’ve been able to see live music and it’s killing me 😢
I got free tickets for EVERY SINGLE 1D/soloist concerts because I worked for them until their mid 2016 split, Harry's request since we grew up together
So you’re trying to tell me you actually saw the killers multiple times in concert and Don’t Shoot Me Santa Claus is not constantly mentioned as your favorite Christmas song?? 🧐😂 (maybe I’m just projecting...loving all the content 😄)
I really should get a book for mine. With the increase in e-tickets, I have way less than I should. I do still occasionally get physical tickets just so I can keep them. I actually have a ticket for Bauhaus, which should have been this year, but was cancelled :( The last concert I saw was Mr Bungle in New york in February - at least that was a GREAT show to have as my last
So, it never occurred to me to keep stubs like this, and as someone who dragon hoards all my ticket stubs... I’m going to get one of these. Also, holy shit I miss going to shows :(
I'm going to take this opportunity to add (once again) that I saw Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Mindless Self Indulgence, HIM and Saosin at Projekt Revolution in 2007 and Abigail did not.
Oh man I’m so jealous that you’ve kept all of these ticket stubs. I’m such a show whore and have been seeing live music since I was 14 and WISH I had stubs from SO many shows lol 🤦🏻♀️
I know next to nothing about music but I always enjoy seeing people talk about their passions
some of those ticket stubs are actually older than i am. that is actually insane.
I am an old
I’m so old omg
I also collect ticket stubs! They are overflowing out of a metal lunch box, a diary is a good idea! ^.^ your taste in music is *chefs kiss*

I like hearing you talk about just about anything
Your music taste is incredible. I don’t hear a lot of folks talk about Frightened Rabbit
I love them so much. I met them back in 2016 and it was lovely
Love them so much. But now the songs make me sad.
Watching you gush is making my day!
Omg you saw The Killers in early 2000’s. 😭😩 Luuuucky! My dad didn’t let me go to GA shows till senior year of high school. I didn’t get to see them till Day & Age. 😒 I’m also jelly that you saw Keane. 😭
Yeahhhhhhhhhhh
Omg Modest Mouse, The Shins, Keane, etc... you were blessed!

also saw the Black Keys and Pearl Jam in '10 @ Lolla LOL.
that kiss 106.1 lineup awoke the 10 year old slumbering peacefully in my heart
I love nostalgia!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
why is this so entertaining and interesting?! hearing you talk about memories and something you’re so passionate about was awesome
uncommon goods’ ticket stub diary omggggg old skool
This was such a great video, thank you for sharing!! I have the exact same ticket stub diary and I had to pull it out to see how long it's been since I've seen a live show; October 2019 (sob!) Bon Iver.....I so miss live shows too : (
I do that too! I've lost a huge chunk of them when I moved but I still have my favourites!
I did not expect to recognize as many of those bands as I did!! Does that mean you're less hipster than I thought, or I'm more hipster than I thought??? I kid I kid. I appreciate the thirst of 2009 Photo Pass Abby.
GOD I MISS SHOWS SO MUCH ;----;
Had to watch for the mentions of the shows we went to together 😬😬😬 Also those gross wristbands made me laugh because I remember when you were doing that way back when 😂

We have really similar musical tastes! Literally every band name you’ve mentioned has me SHOOKETH. 🎶
Oh my Gawd I dream of seeing Keane live!! 🤩😭 You lucky lady! ✨
I love people like this ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Ohh I love this! I had a collection of ticket stubs but my ex destroyed them. I wish I could recreate my ticket diary!
I got free tickets for EVERY SINGLE 1D/soloist concerts because I worked for them until their mid 2016 split, Harry's request since we grew up together
I have random ticket stubs from school events and dance recitals that I have miraculously kept for like four years now
Never been to a concert before but I am DYING to see The Mars Volta if they ever reunite. Or Gorillaz, or Radiohead, or Unknown Mortal Orchestra...
So you’re trying to tell me you actually saw the killers multiple times in concert and Don’t Shoot Me Santa Claus is not constantly mentioned as your favorite Christmas song?? 🧐😂 (maybe I’m just projecting...loving all the content 😄)
We did add it to our Christmas music playlist on Spotify!
I really should get a book for mine. With the increase in e-tickets, I have way less than I should. I do still occasionally get physical tickets just so I can keep them. I actually have a ticket for Bauhaus, which should have been this year, but was cancelled :( The last concert I saw was Mr Bungle in New york in February - at least that was a GREAT show to have as my last
Also - first concert ever for me was Bush and Veruca Salt in '97
I had no idea a ticket diary existed and now I desire one. I just saved tickets on a regular diary...
Aww shoutout to Renee and Jenn! 😎 ok, I need to stop commenting as I watch this video. Lol
😁
Any indie, alternative rock 👌
So, it never occurred to me to keep stubs like this, and as someone who dragon hoards all my ticket stubs... I’m going to get one of these. Also, holy shit I miss going to shows :(
Here!!!! 🙌🏼
I cried when I accidentally almost threw away my Depeche Mode ticket stub.
Oh nooooo. :(
I used to keep movie tickets but kept loosing them because my mom’s a hoarder but also didn’t like me having things
Wtf
I know you hate edm but if I could just go to Paradiso or Bass canyon at the gorge I'd die happy 🤣
Movie tickets are still $3 at the Crest!
Also I was definitely at some of those same Bumbershoots.
I was two (maybe not quite two) for your first ticket stub 😅 my first concert was in 2009 (?) When I saw A.R Rahman with my family. It was awful lol
I used to have stubs from the 90s, but I'm Asian... and as soon as you move out your room gets cleaned out without your knowing.
😬😬😂😂
I used to collect ticket stubs until most of mine were thrown away. Same with a lot of my tour t shirts RIP
NOSTALGIA
I'm going to take this opportunity to add (once again) that I saw Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Mindless Self Indulgence, HIM and Saosin at Projekt Revolution in 2007 and Abigail did not.
WEIRD FLEX BOI BUT OKAY. *cries about never seeing Linkin Park live*
I'm one of the "not really into music content" people but I'm still going to leave a like because I'm polite lol
I remember shows....*sigh*
Holy hell you've seen Florence + The Machine! They're like top of my dream list.
they're so good!
I think I have a fuzz mutt set list where instead of writing “baby I’m an anarchist” of the against me cover they wrote “baby I’m a tuna fish”
Omg that's hilarious
@@abb3rz07 WAIT IM REWATCHING THIS AND FUZZ MUTT PLAYED THE LAST BUMBERSHOOT LMAO
Oh man I’m so jealous that you’ve kept all of these ticket stubs. I’m such a show whore and have been seeing live music since I was 14 and WISH I had stubs from SO many shows lol 🤦🏻♀️
