Shout out to you Dr Nina for motivating me all the way from secondary school. I’ve been watching your videos for at least 10 years. I am now a qualified doctor myself and 3rd year psychiatry resident (psych is a 6 year program in my country ). I continue to watch as you move from strength to strength in achievements, in emotional vulnerability, in community, and in motherhood. I watched you in my single season and now my husband knows that you’re the motivational speaker that helps me get out of a slump. 2 weeks postpartum with my second child. My oldest is a boy and he’s 2 and a half and my second is a babygirl and I can’t imagine my life without them. However being a mother has opened so many wounds because I have also been adopted but like you I chose to look at things from a positive light but some days are hard because my aunt who adopted me was not very kind or loving. I love my babies so much and I want to raise them to be emotionally intelligent, kind, self aware, intellectual, loving, independent, I want them to be able to communicate anything that bothers them or hurts them and all in all I want them to feel my love and support everyday!

Came make the exact same comment and saw yours. Had me bawling remembering.my mother and her love and sacrifice....thinking i could never be a mother without her and how her sisters and my Dads sister all chipped and came different times while i was on strict bedrest and after my daughter was born and stilll give so much love and support 15 yrs later.

I have three grown kids and one of their favorite things to do is to sit and flip through albums of their pictures. It always brings us to sit and enjoy the photos and remember the memories. It’s tangible.

Parenting is literally on the job training with zero experience, there is no manual that comes with it. It is all about trial & error. U will have moments when u cant get them to eat a banana but just yesterday thats all they would ever eat. There will be days when they will just have a meltdown or even a temper tamtrum because u handed them the blue cup instead of the orange cup (sounds like someone needs to go take a little nappy nap) but at the end of the day kids give u that unconditional love! ❤ And every kid is different 😮
