*Tuna Limit* in STORMY Weather! Catch Clean Cook

- On this trip we load up on live cigar minnows and head to the Humps. Tuna were the target and after a couple hours we had our limit in the boat. We caught them both on our 20 lb Stanz Spinning rod as well as on our offshore mini rod. Back at the marina we fillet the tuna and then head home to cook some on the grill. Enjoy!

The sheer joy on the face at 6:03 of the guy in the black hoodie as he catches fish bigger than anything he has ever caught before is wonderful. He will remember this day for a long time..

Wen I had my Lasix eye surgery, they hydrated & covered them. Gave me a sleeping pill to take. I had to keep my eyes closed till the next morning when I could take the blind off. My site was PERFECT!!! I was 20/500 prior & 20/15 after. Treats are better than dinner!
It was so great

You know when you see a cutting table beat the hell up your doing it right 😂👍👍🇺🇸
You should try dropping your bait down to 200’ during the day and you’ll probably catch the bigger tuna like 50 to 100 lbs. All the small ones feed at the surface during the day. That’s how it works in Hawaii anyway but I’m not sure if it’ll work like that in the Keys. Usually there is a big school of small tuna on the surface like 5 to 15 lbs and if you see depth recorder marks down at 30 fathoms or 180 ft you can catch larger tuna. This channel has inspired me to try catching a Swordfish in Hawaii. No one ever catches them but apparently long line fishermen catch them all the time. If you ever come to The Big Island Hawaii and are on the Kona coast I’ll take you to fish at some private buoys. 🤙 Aloha
Good luck out there with the sword 🙌🏻
The waves are like that every time I’m on the water and then it’s calm after I leave
Bravo 👍👍👍👍
Mikes lookin good
Great content i love this
Nick, now that Sarah can see you clearly, are you surprised she hasn't left yet? 🤣🤣
Yes, thank god bean got engaged already
@@StanzFam 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄
Speaking of Bean getting engaged… he’s way out kicked his coverage with Astrid. That’s for sure
You on 🔥
Lucky you had the new laser. I had it done 20 years ago on a crude laser and it failed over the 20 years. I had something wrapped around my retina and a Dr at Mayo Hospital removed it. I will go back in a year or 2 to have my lens replaced to gain back my vision.
Nice tunas
Nick, that mini probably isn't as good a Bean Pole. You should go to Bean's site and buy one. 🤣
always awesome video But you need some new cleaning Tables
First blackfin I caught off Savannah was on a cedar plug plastic that was sinking as we were fighting other tuna. All our blackfins are large size. Yellowfins have basically disappeared over the years, you need to be up at oregon inlet for yellow fin big eye and blue fin. What is hard to believe that they used to catch 80 to 100 pound yellow fin just a mile or 2 off Miami beach in the 1980's. You ask a captain now he will say you must mean Venice.
nice catch, how deep are those humps your fishing?
Yum sushi!
Stanz KNIVES
Nick when you going to have Jocelyn cooking at the house. Have a cook off with her and bean
Thin sliced tuna and wasabi ❤️
The winter stashe is getting serious lol
That’s money dude. Put that on a crackah
What product did you throw on the bait just before you threw the net that cloudied up the water?
Sand and chum mixed together
Did you trow mash banana for bait?
Stan what happened to your banners? Did you forget about them?
Hopefully you can do it because I'm looking forward to the video you make
Miami has one of the best hospitals in the US for eyes.
That looked funner than Swordfishing.
Red sky's in the morning sailors take warning. Red sky's at night sailors delight.
I have tons of Tuna. It's all in CANS. haa
What brand knives were you using for filleting? I did not see any link in the description.
That was a SORD knife
Great video, what is the mini rod?
Our “lil STANZ” offshore mini rod, run small rod on a jigging blank
Nick, do you notice any difference of the fish being kept in ice slurry or deblooded first then into the ice slurry?
Not really to be honest. We bled all these tunas, but some still have some blood when we fillet them. Might be because some get pics first and not as much comes out.
Hey Stan !
I'm wondering why you don't bleed these tuna out ? Or is not necessary?
.
It's funny you talked about the eye surgery
I have been getting eye injections Monday is the most recent for me my right eye just started hemorrhaging 20 min ago I got to watch your fun tuna trip as I lost vision in that eye
We do bleed all the tuna in the box, but sometimes there’s still some blood. Some of the tuna might not pump it all out if they aren’t as lively after pics and such
Sorry about your eye. Hopefully your vision will return
Where do you buy that sand chum at? I've been looking for something like that.
Hey what model smith’s are you wearing? I loved the challis, went through about 3 pair but your’s look similar so I’m interested. Thanks in advance
The Redding’s fit my face really well
The nick stick catches Tuna
U was watch a stalecracker video all about that W sauce
Hey Nick word of advice brother never close the grill when you're cooking tuna e just want a steer on the outside
Tom Cruise with a stash👃🏻
You gotta put some vegetables in that Halloween thing. Surprise her next time.
😂🙌🏻🙂
Man that boat is sweet! At this point point I’m convinced that if you had a cruise ship, it would have quad Yamaha 300’s😂. Also, one quick question, how fast is that 42lr wide open?
I saw 64 mph very light load
רקג/RED
What type of rod is the small one ?
stanzfishing.com/products/mini-stanz-offshore-rod
Open it Daddy!!!!
Looked pretty bumpy out there to a freshwater guy like me...what were the seas?
3-6’ most the day
@@StanzFam What's too much? At what point do you not take people out? You've got killer boats!
how fast were you running home?
~30 knots in that part of the video
Good fishing sir 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
BLACKFIN/
Отлично 😃, вам бы ещё по русски говорить 🤣👍
Didn't bleed them out?
Bled all of them
Always overcooking the tuna 😆
I know 😂🤷🏻♂️
What Nick overcooked the fish? That never happens :)

😘😍😘😍😘😘😘😍😘😘
Blue Gabe might have cut his hand all the way off if he had that knife!
Where are the sharks?
never ever close the damn lid on the grill when grilling tuna!!!
its ruined.
grilled tuna…i guess i have to talk a bit about culture difference
yes, you can grill tuna, even the japanese will use dry hay "fast burn" the surface and leave the core half cook. but a completely well done grill tuna is something i will pass.
is there any well done tuna dish in asia? yes, may be next time if you want to know.
besides the method, there are difference on which part is the best taste too. you love the leone, which is the fish back, but on the other side of the planet, people love the belly, which you use as swordfish bait.
what? am i kidding?
if you go to a sushi shop, a toro sushi probably is the most expensive thing in the shop. what is that pink meat come from? it is the belly meat from a hugh fat black fin tuna.
you can always double check that with any sushi chef to see if that's true or not. actually everytime when i saw the japanese watching your channel and see you cut away the belly as bait, they drop their jaws and eyes wide open 🤣
Dude you gotta shave that off.
Hey @stanzfam how much bait does it take to catch some nice tuna??
Sometimes just a handful but usually a couple hundred or more
You need slide outside from above to enclose on fast cold weather water proofing heated indoor rides 🛥
