    Forgot to mention - You can also use Shift + Lasso to add to your selection.

    Thank you. Even after using Reaper for years, this is very helpful.

    Haha, OMG, when you explained the volume part and the mute part, I literally exclaimed out loud the words "OH MY GOD" 🤣Awesome! Until now I was doing them one by one 😝

    So incredibly useful, as usual! 💖 I for example totally forgot about the function "double click", because in general digital use it somehow went out of fashion these last years. Thank you!

    Oh please, by now I'm pretty sure I already know how to select things in Reaper...
    A few moments later: huh that's neat!

      Not going to lie. I learned a few things too. Like control + double clicking a track to add or remove all the items from that track.

    It's about time, a video on reaper keyboard commands .... Grazie Kenny

    Dear Kenny! As always an awesome video. I just think, that now it is going too much into easing up the simplicity itself. Users of a programme have to deal with the programm. It cannot foresee what it has to to for the user.
    Just want to point out, that people think, they do not need efforts to skill themselves with professional programms, which they have to do when using such tools.
    But thanks as always for your efforts, patience, kindness and so on! Best instructor ever!

    Please make a video about automation items, Kenny! I feel I need to know more about them.

    great video but I need to see them in a tabular format (document) to use as reference

    Vet producer new to Reaper here. Thanks Kenny for all your clear and professional vids!
    Question: what’s the toolbar action that allows you to lasso with left mouse key rather than right? And is there anyway to make this the standard lassoing mouse key?
    Right mousekey drag is opposite to my primary daw (Bitwig) as well as previous daws I’ve worked on (cubase, studio one) - and is sorta breaking my brain! Lol
    Edit: also, I do not see a Lasso button (like in Kenny's ex). I probably unknowingly trashed it customizing my toolbar. How to get this back?

    Kenny, my dude, As I watched this I was like, "NO WAY I can learn anything from this one!" as I've said every other time before....but of course I did. For some reason Razor edits never settled into my brain/workflow. Have watched yours and several other tutorials on the process and still didn't manage to see the greater picture. Thanks to vid, I get it. OH MAN DO I GET IT!
    Thanks big homie!

    What's the key you keep hitting that puts everything back the way it was after you demonstrate things? I tried control z , and it doesn't do that for me. I accidentally deleted a piece of audio...like you've done here purposely, and control z did not bring it right back. I have to be doing something wrong.

      I created a custom action I use in all of my videos for this. It goes like this:
      Unselect (clear selection of) all tracks/items/envelope points
      Razor edit: Clear all areas
      Time selection: Remove (unselect) time selection

    How to use the expression pedal without it affecting the volume of all tracks? Or the opposite of that, disabling the expression pedal as volume on any track?

    Is there a way to automatically link two tracks together, such as a DI track and a mic track, so when you edit one track it does both together?

    Ok, Kenny, everything is clear, but I did not understand how to set up the selection of envelope points using the Ctrl key and left mouse click? Can you give a link where this setting is shown? Thanks!

      I created the points using the shift key and clicking and selected the points with left click, shift + left click or ctrl + left click.

    Is there a way to select things on the timeline such as time signature / tempo markers (including metronome patterns etc), so they can be copy/pasted e.g. to cursor position?

    • @EnslavedByFear
      @EnslavedByFear 12 дней назад +1

      Only way I could figure that out is by making "regions", which you can find more videos on. Basically put one region around everything you want to move, and you can move the region and it takes everything including tempos along with it. Can also copy and paste a region with all it's contents.

    • @fractalist
      @fractalist 11 дней назад

      @@EnslavedByFear I really appreciate the pointer! As of now, I'm not able to figure it out quite yet (it's not as simple as "select region then copy and paste to cursor" but I'm hopeful I'll figure it out ;-).

    • @EnslavedByFear
      @EnslavedByFear 11 дней назад

      @@fractalist did you try making the time selection, then shift + R ? That will make it a region, and give that selection the ability to be moved or copied.

    • @fractalist
      @fractalist 11 дней назад

      @@EnslavedByFear Yes I did. I can move the region, but not paste a copy of it. I must be missing something ...
      I should probably post on the forum and have the discussion there... ;-) Thanks very much for the help!

    • @EnslavedByFear
      @EnslavedByFear 10 дней назад +1

      @fractalist I have one last suggestion lol. I didn't realize you didn't have the option to just right click it and copy it. To copy it, hold control, click and drag said region to where you want it to paste. Hopefully that works! I just tried it myself before sending this.
