    Very useful tip !
One can then save this as a plugin chain to save the plugin settings with the parameter modulation !

Very nice tip. I like that adding it to the track controls lets you modify it without the plugin window. I find that staring at waveforms and levels takes away from focusing on how it sounds and makes you feel, so being able to adjust multiple parameters at once w/out needing to have the window open is helpful there.

Interesting, thanks Kenny... I can see this perhaps being handy with guitar amp sims as well, could set it up so power amp or output volume goes down slightly as you bring pre-amp gain up and vice versa.

If only it was possible to link plugin settings across different tracks.

It may be possible by linking plugin parameters accross different tracks to the same MIDI parameter, and adjusting only the latest ?

      it's possible

Yep. It's one of the rare things that's possible in ProTools but not in Reaper.

Thanks for another helpful tutorial! Very informative, but I noticed that some of the pauses in your speech makes it challenging for me to follow along (non-native speaker). A smoother flow might make it even easier to understand. Keep up the great work!

I think this is useful when you know the EQ is perfect and sitting perfectly in the mix, that's the use case I see. Another use case would be creative EQ moves

I like to get it close and tweak it this way during the mix.

@@REAPERMania Instead of opening and closing the window each time and as you say, adjusting one instead of two parameters. Excellent tip Kenny!!

This is really powerful. It's a pity it' s not possible among tracks (yet), and you have to redesign the project so that you can bus tracks and use the mixer ...

I love Reaper. But this seems too complicated to me. However, as someone else suggested, you could do this and then save the plugin chain for future use and then everything would be ready to use again...unless you want to use a different plugin, anyway.

    Hi kenny,
I have recorded an audio book. However, the voice stems are not all the same volume. Neither am I sure what dB and Lufs to set them at - being that it is a book and not music - Please can you tell me how to find the volume of each voice stem so that I can set them all to the one that I am most happy with, and what will be accepted for publishing.
    Thank You in Advance :)

HELP! When I record on a track in Reaper it owerwrites all new takes and it´s only one take left. It seems that I've changed the settings some time. How do I get back to multiple take recording? I can´t find it...

If you press ByPass WHILE playing (without stopping) you present a clearer/more distinct difference. When you press STOP it's hard to listen to the 2. Thanks

    • @REAPERMania
      @REAPERMania  3 месяца назад

That's not what I meant. Bypass will always be better but with the parameters linked, you can more easily hear what you're doing as you raise the EQ boost. With 2 parameters separate, you have to move one and then the other. This makes bypass less needed as you're more clearing hearing what you're boosting.

@@REAPERMania That's not what I meant either. When you say "before" you play it...then you press stop...then you say "after", I'm trying to say that by pressing stop the difference is hard to here back/to/back, thx
