Got to see these guys live in my high school gym, they were going to play outside but it rained and boy am I glad it did, being that close to them sounded so cool, and the soloists were so clean.
This hornline’s gotta be maybe 35-40 max but they sound like 50-60 members. Selection reminds me of old-school Madison and sounds like La Fiesta. Great tune!
DCI has become glorified BOA at this point yall. I’m so glad I marched (2012-2013) when it was still what it only SHOULD BE… Brass, Drums, Guard… problem solved.
I saw them two weeks ago in my hometown in WV! They were so good that I cried! What a priviledge to have seen them in person so recently and then to see them at DCI! THANK YOU Marine Corps! You have the warmest place in my heart! ❤❤❤❤
I remember when they stood still and just focussed on playing music. Now they're running as well! US marines as an all age class drum corps in a few years? 😊
Have tanks, cause the US Marine Corps got rid of tank battalions within the Marine Corps, or let's see have military police, or maintain a large combat force.
THIS is the way Drum Corps used to be -- percussion and bugles. Period. DCI has gotten so far away from its roots with the enormous sets that often don't bring anything to the show, the use of electronics...I could go on, but the USMC Drum & Bugle Corps always sets my blood on fire!
@@samuelt8602 I don’t disagree that both are valid. I would only say that the dancing and prancing is not drum corps. It does not even use bugles. It is something different.
Performed with precision and perfection like the Marine Corps always does.
The drumline mcnutted all over the field

There was a lot of aspects that made this fantastic but are we not going to address that trumpet horn snap that was PERFECTION?!?!?!
Soprano bugle.😮
those aren’t trumpets, they’re on G sopranos! Gotta love it
They are United States Marines… I wouldn’t expect anything less. They’re the best of the best for a reason. 🔥🤌🏼
Awesome! I miss those Madison Scout shows.
Me too
I think that was Woody Herman's Fire Dance. Sky Ryders played it 80/81. Why year did Madison play it? Amazing song for G bugles
1995 and 1996.
I was just thinking about the Madison Scouts too with this performance. I miss that about them. 😢
Seen marine corps in late 60s when I marched. Precision power and range. Never change 👏👏👍
That made some 80s Sky Ryders happy!
Exactly. I played mellophone in 80. They sound like Ludy, Roberts and some of the other sopranos
Half as many musicians and twice the volume is amazing.
G Bugles homie… 🔥🤌🏼🤌🏼
Wow great job. I wonder how many of those men were superstar performers in DCI during their days?
It’s made up of roughly 90% former DCI performers

Is that G bugles I hear??? 😍😍😍

Bugles provide much more volume and power. You can have a hornline of 25 bugles and sound good. The bflat instruments, not so much.
The beauty of the old G Bugles......25 horns can sound like 60.....

Im glad to see it making some progress with enthusiasm 😊
It can be done forever😄
The soprano player hit it very well at the end... BRAVO. 😃
Proud of my Marines! Many memories in that uniform!
Killed it, Marines!🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

This gave me turn of the century vibes (tone: affectionate)
That's old school 😎😎♥️♥️♥️
I was here it was soo cool!!!!
They need to be bigger.
Damn! They have chips like any other Corp group :)
Hell yeah! My friend from high school was a drum major for the marine corps. Shes awesome.
*um espetáculo incrível, uma performance perfeita* 👏👏👏👏👏
Is there anything they can't do? 🔥

Do they perform at NightBeat every year?
Damn they are good ❤
Fantastic! Yut!
When I see them I almost immediately think of enc productions
parts of that sounds almost exactly like 1980/1 Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps Fire dance (Adapted from Woody Herman's arrangement)
What did the trumpet trio play?
Semper Fi!!! 🎼🎶🎵

I can’t stand all of the dancing and prancing of today’s dci. It is unwatchable.
it's just a newer different style, both are totally valid

The tenor line could be better. It’s missing something. A certain Eric carr that was unjustifiably discharged
We all miss him :(
Their precisions though, especially in those uncomfortable shoes, they are so damn stiff
