A good video would be how to negotiate with brands on deals. What should you do once they say yes. That's where I'm at right now and I'm having a hard time making sure I am making the best deal and protecting myself from a scam.

Always ask and always try, because what's the worst that could possibly happen? No? well move on - on to the next one! I've also have received a package once and asked the business owner if I could return it since it wasn't as natural as I thought the product would be. So definitely stay honest to your viewers as well

I am great at reaching out and doing collabs. I've been a professional photographer for 10 years, I'm just new to RUclips, so I'm hoping the subscribers come as I continue collaborating. Thank you sooo much for all the info!
Something I've noticed about the whole "just ASK" thing you mentioned, like about the hotel advertisements for cheaper or free rooms, another thing to add to that, and honestly in all of the different ways of getting a hold of these companies, is not just to ask, but be CONFIDENT! A lot of people think "Why isn't this working? I'm asking all over the place.." But that person also has very little confidence, and asks shyly, or undercuts themselves by saying like "Well I know I'm small right now and you might not be up for it, but [question]?" And that's more likely to get your turned away because they don't believe you can actually do it because it sounds like you doubt yourself. Anyway, love your guys' videos. Very helpful!
I dont usually finish watching quite a long videos like this one but I ended up watching it till the end. The content is so great that you will really learn alot from these guys. Keep up the great work and thank you for putting such a great content. Glad that there are people like you who is passionate enough in doing these things for others' sake, and especially for putting the value of integrity over money. You guys deserve more subscribers. Hoping to see more of these tips.
This is so true. And you must not be afraid of big brands. My first brand deal was with Sony when I had 200 subs. I did not get money for it but I got Sony gear to be reviewed.
Just asked Sony Finland and showed them my channel which already had some 30 videos, all of them shot with Sony Actioncam or Sony Handycam. They sent me the latest camera model and gears to be promoted in my videos. I did two videos and after two weeks I sent the items back. Now I had a good reference to show to the next brand and that deal was already beneficial also financially.
I got my first sponsorship with only 99 subscribers. I went over board with the asking brands part though.😁

This is actually down the road for me, it's way too early to be looking for sponsors, but I will come back to this vid when ( and if) I get to that place! I'm still in the brainstorming phase of what I want my content to be! I need to narrow down my thought process! Passion, that's the operative word!

There's a ton of individuals on here that are going on about, "I only have 10 subs or 30 subs or 100 subs, and I don't know how to get sponsors, I need money.." Folks, the first tip of this video at 2:00 is, "Build your channel, better content." Of the individuals that I clicked on who made such comments, they and probably you have maybe ten videos, all-time, two of which made in the last year perhaps. It's super simple, "Start Doing." Stop trying to make the quick buck out of thin air, because you're simply not worth anyone's money, not a dime. Go build great content that individuals want to get involved. 2017 is dedicated to building. You're simply just not creating, and if you are and have a ton of videos, start making better quality content, because clearly the public doesn't like it! #76subscribers haha

Lots of awesome info here. Here's my request, not sure if you already did this. I would like to know the sponsorship process in detail. The numbers the forms of return etc. For instance when someone sponsors a video, on what basis is the price determined,? Is it the cost of shooting the video, pay for actors and gear... I'm sure there must be some basis for determining that number. Please share the details of this, thanks a ton guys.
But listen listen. I'm a tiny channel with only 19 subscribers and also a small time photographer. I'm also shy how do I do any of this? Like I'm tiny compared to a lot of people who say they are small time RUclipsrs and non-existent to HUGE ones. So if you could help my figure that out it would be great.

I have no clue about social media. I am not sure if I should create a facebook page or what not as I lack of time and this youtube hobby of mine is consuming the small amount of time left! I have never thought about contacting brands probably because I am in Japan.
