If I were Eventide, I’d be feeling pretty embarrassed. Granted, they’re slightly different animals but if you’re in the market for an ambient reverb pedal, I just can’t see why anyone would get the new Blackhole pedal when there are lots of other more appealing options out there?, one of which being the new Nightsky.

A question: is it possible to have an infinite tone going on while playing a different reverb sound over it? The droning tone should stay the same (reverb setting wise) and the new playing should have a new setting.
Can't figure out how he's switching from "Low Q" (Filter Resonance) to "High Q". That's not shown in the video. Is that setting not accessible from the panel (knobs & buttons)?

This thing sounds amazing Curious why in the signal path the amp/cab (Iridium) is before the NightSky? It still sounds amazing, just seems like a an odd choice.
Thanks and good question! You certainly can use NightSky in front of Iridium or in front of an amp. The "Floating" pedal steel piece in our Audio Examples video was recorded with Iridium after NightSky. However, a main reason you might choose to put Nightsky last in chain, especially when recording direct or outputting to a full range PA is that NightSky is a full range pedal that can actually create upper and lower harmonies and saturation harmonics of its own, some of which could potentially be tamed or filtered out depending on what speaker cabinet IR you are playing through if you put Iridium last, since most guitar cabinets are not full range. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but for this video, we wanted the full character of NightSky to come through with no sonic coloration after it.
