    Thank you so much for this, us Nightsky users in groups were really trying to figure it out amongst ourselves and finding some things but this is the kind of demo we were hoping for. Thank you for taking the time to create it for us.

      Yeah, it felt like the sequencer was this kind of beast that no one dared to dive too deeply in. I felt this would help, and I'm glad it did!

    • @Peter7966
      @Peter7966 3 года назад +2

      I agree... as someone who's experimenting with Nightsky. It's a complex musical tool with endless possibilities, but a real learning curve tapping into them. This video is very helpful. I second the thanks. The sequencer is the defining function and the reason I purchased the pedal... but it's more than a challenge figuring it out for me, a non-tech type. You've unlocked the door for me Antonine.

    I have been looking for a pedal that would allow me to program riffs/arps/sequences for a few months. My main requirement is midi clock, which I believe this has (because I want easy sync to drums). So many pedals get so close... But I think this is what I actually want. Thanks for the demo. Nicely done.

      I remain three reverbs in my board: Big Sky, Night Sky and Neunaber Immerse mk.2. I used to use them for different aims: regular reverb and for ambient tones; experimental and for huge tones, and Immerse is the best for just of touch of reverb or to be added after any of them to be enhanced even more!

    Thank you very much for this video! Very informative. Where did you find out about the secondary functions? I imagine it was in the complete downloadable manual from Strymon?
    I'm so happy you can have a all Dry Signal over the sequencer, it was almost a bummer for a moment for me that I couldn't do that!

    Great vid thank you! Quick question, can it be slaved with master clock for midi sync and triggered by master device? Let’s say if i run octatrack as master and want sequencer to be synced and triggered by it?

    • @NedMassey2
      @NedMassey2 9 месяцев назад

      I run a (pretty ridiculously extensive) MIDI guitar rig for live soundscaping for a NYC theatre project. I love the NightSky and all my Strymon(and Meris, Chase Bliss, Source Audio, and Singular) pedals have deep presets that all operate beautifully via my Morningstar 8 MIDI controller. I also use a single expression pedal running from the Morningstar so that I can sweep through any parameter on the Nightsky (or any other pedal). I really love the NightSky. I think it is incredibly musical and well-designed, with the one caveat that the sequencer can only be set to quarter notes, so if you want a fast synth sequencer sound, you need a very high BPM from MIDI clock.

  • @sbookholt
    @sbookholt 3 года назад

    Can you store other knob positions in a sequencer step? (Instead of pitch?)

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  3 года назад

      I'm pretty sure that it only stores pitches.
