    Some people have been asking me to make more ''30 minutes with'' videos that I was doing many years ago with my Strymon pedals, so I said: why not!
    It's a great challenge to improvise music that stays interesting and musical for an entire 30 minutes without interruption, while trying different sounds on a pedal.
    I opted to play mostly through the 16 different stock presets of the Night Sky, because this pedal needs a lot of tweaking and I didn't want to spend half of the video twisting knobs!
    Relax and enjoy :-)

    I hold you, Antoine, fully responsible for being the proud owner of a Nightsky 😎 Nice playing and great video, like always! Love and light from sunny Thailand 🇹🇭 ❤️☀️🏖

    The 1/6 factory preset ist my favourite. All other have been overwritten months ago. :) This one is magic, anyway. Even more when in Seq mode. Even "morer" with decently Glimmer/high added.
    Thank you for sharing!
    (Especially for the stuff @ 22.xx… gorgeous. Followed by @26.50 - wow.)

    The only thing that can come close to what Nightsky does is the EHX Superego+ with even more effects like reverb in it's send return loop. I have that EHX rig, and it's very cool side chained, but it does not sound this awesome. Nightsky sounds VERY HiFi. --- Great noodling!

    Was the NightSky a result of G.A.S? 😎 Sorry couldn’t resist, just finished watching your GAS video (which was awesome by the way).

    Beautiful playing and the pedal is great. But your GAS video cured me and I’m gonna get all these sounds with the pedals I already have 😉

    Probably a minority opinion but i really dislike “shimmer” no matter who the manufacturer may be. It’s just so artificial in not a good way. I have this pedal only because a touring friend didn’t want it anymore so I bought it at a real bargain price just for the reverb but the shimmer effect just leaves me cold. My own minority opinion and i understand that for most it seems to be a pleasing effect.

    I just finished watching your video on Timeline. I am new to ambient guitar and I want to get a few pedals, but I also want to choose the right fit. If I am planning to add a reverb to the Timeline, what would you suggest, please? Would it be better to go with a Strymon Big Sky , NightSky, or Immerse Mark II? Thank you!

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  3 года назад

      Immerse MkII is outstanding and would cost you less than the Strymons, so I would go with this one!

      If I may....I own both. Depends on what you want. If you're just looking for good reverb, the immerse is great. If you're looking for a bunch of shimmer and fluff, on top of good reverb the nightsky has more to offer. I might actually return the nightsky as its too much for my needs. I can't see using more than 30% of this pedal, and that's both for guitar AND synth (moog mother 32 and polivoks)
