I just bought one after being AMAZED by the video the guys at That Pedal Show did and I, of course, really love it. One thing I'd like to ask pedal manufacturers is if they could consider colorblind people when selecting the color of LED's. Green, Red, Yellow and Amber all look pretty much the same to me. It makes using most pedals suuuuuper challenging. I am having this problem with the Volante. Really starkly contrasting colors would be very helpful for people like me. Not sure how many other colorblind guitarists are out there. But I can't be the only one.
This pedal over-delivers by about 60% over what I was hoping for. The spring reverb, individual head panning and levels, full midi + cc, and looping put this way over the top, especially at this price. Couldn't be more happy with it, which I hardly ever get to say after watching new gear demos. Congratulations, sure to be a real winner.
tsuobachi that’s exactly how I feel about most Strymon stuff. I’ve never been able to put it so well. Yeah, they are expensive, but when you get your hands on it and start playing through it you never feel like you overspent. You’re shocked at all of the additional features and how awesome it sounds.

Pros:
easily the most deep intuitive delay/timebased effect i have played around with. As stated the chord synth stabs are amazing on it but more than that its useful for pads, forever drones/ambient soundscapes, and above all a nice bit of sauce to run all or some instrument signals through for interesting tone or colouring.
Cons:
More features than most will need, hefty price tag.
Final thoughts:
If you have the budget for it and are looking for this type of effect pedal, spend the money and you will notice where it went happily.

I just received mine! This thing is the best ever! Someone really put some thought, and care into making this pedal. The sounds are of ultimate quality. The interface is great. I am super impressed with this pedal. The sample settings from the videos really help you get started too. I love this thing. This is my first Strymon pedal, but I'll be selling others to buy more. Very well done guys!!

Pretty sure this will be my first Strymon. The stereo function on the Echorec is absolutely crazy, and the drip reverb is flawless, although, I do like the "kicked amp" sound you can get from the Ocean's Eleven spring setting

Just got one and paired it up with a Moog Grandmother. Absolutely awesome. Messing around with the sound on sound mode is huge fun and I’m creating so many loops that are inspiring me to create full tracks from. Volante is an inspiration generator!

Hi Pete, a wonderful demo, I love it that is why I have just ordered one. I play both Spotnicks and Shadows music and this pedal covers it all with extras! Looking forward to getting my hands on one now. Many thanks for a great demo.
I have been dreaming of an Echorec type pedal with even more options for so many years. And hoping that Strymon would be the ones to do it. Then you do, only you blow me away with way way more features and throw an Echoplex and Studio tape machine in there too!! That space knob is so sweet; I’d love to hook that up to an expression pedal. The reverse level trick at 11:30 is 🔥!! The only thing it’s missing is a display screen to know what preset you have loaded for live shows. But I’ve got that solved too with some other gear and midi.
I thought I was set , Delay-wise, with My Timeline, El Cap and UA Starlight, but I tried the Volante and just had to have it… What an inspirational machine! Thx Pete Celli! You are a genious!
I have had the timeline since it came out. It still holds it’s own against the best of them. This Volante is a whole other realm of greatness. I am still finding the coolest sounds with the Volante, that I can’t seem to get with anything else. Great job guys.

I love how he's using an Agile, no fs given. I have a Flashback 2 which has a really nice Echorec setting and have been eyeing a Thermae as my "other" delay but will wait for reviews to roll in on this guy.

That is one of the best tape sims I've heard. Very nice. Belle Epoch Deluxe and this.... The studio/ ping pong tape mode is very Roland SE-201esque..
Have nice collection of various echo-plex effects in recording studio. After last one had purchased, thought I was done for good. Not. Just discovered your Strymon Volante. After watching your video, along with researching details, unique capabilities, features...had to purchase one today. Have no problem selling one of my other echo units in the near future. Yours is definitely a "keeper." Thank you for making such stellar effects.
I was looking at Spring Reverb pedals for a couple of weeks, only now I realize my Volante Spring sounds as good- and better than the best. Plus, it's stereo.

I have the Flint and use it for my Hall and Plate verb sounds but the spring doesn’t get me to surf drip territory. I have the Ventris and Oceans 11 but would love to see Strymon better these....

Luca Pette I agree.. I have deco - flint and timeline.. deco is the best pedal I have owned by a long way. This pedalc ontinues strymon’s tradition for perfectly mimicking old school sounds. Great stuff
