I recenty bought the 15s-eq2008 version (8GB RAM/1TB SSD). The model is very good - snappy cpu, respectable igpu, good IPS screen and battery, very light and comfortable. The only downsides are: - only 1 stick of 8GB/3200Mhz RAM. Easily upgradeable, since there is another free slot. I bought another 8GB/3200 stick for dual channel enabling and now it feels even faster and the iGPU can be fully utilized. - IPS screen calibration was kinda off (greenish), easily fixable with Windows color calibration tool. - Only 2 regular USB slots and no Ethernet port.

Still much much better battery life than my old Lenovo G710 - even new it lasted about 2,5 - 3 hours tops. It's amazing how energy efficent became the laptop hardware in general in the past 5 years.
Paaji actually vega igpus can push almost double frames when it's running on dual channel ram ...as the bandwidth of the gpu gets double...try it in dual channel for full performance.

I have Asus Vivobook 17 with same specifications but I cannot play games like AC Origins, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Resident Evil 2, etc. These games shows error like this “ the application did not start correctly (0x000007b)”, I have tried every fixes like installing and updating graphics drivers, directx and microsoft visual but it won't work. In my laptop even 7 to 10 year old titles like far cry 3, gta 5, watch dogs and call of duty black ops 2 is giving average fps of only 50-60 in 1280×720 lowest settings. I don't know why my laptop is underperforming. But one thing I have noticed that game which requires minimum of 1gb vram or less than that(ex: 512mb vram) is running on my laptop and the game which requires more than 1gb vram(ex: 2gb vram) is not running on my laptop.
11:01 Bro cpu clock speed is less because integrated graphics is utilising 1000+ mhz cpu clock. That's why cpu clock is always less than 3000 mhz. But if we take into account GPU clock as well then clock speed is 4000 mhz.
There's no correlation between the frequencies of igpu and cpu in the way you just stated. What you said is that they have a limited amount Mhz which they both can share but that's never the case. Since gta5 is a gpu intensive game, the input of cpu is not required that much and hence cpu frequency was less. Similarly, valorant being a cpu intensive game, the cpu is getting utilized and the frequency is reaching 3K. Any gpu+cpu intensive game would push both of them to their max frequencies. Also it seems that the laptop is on balanced mode and not high performance. High performance would've locked the cpu frequency to max giving less stuttering.
@ML Gamer I don't think I am wrong. Technical Sahaj said the reason for lower clock speed is that it is not a gaming cpu. BUT go and watch acer aspire [1650] with 5500u performance. Its clock speed is 4000mhz locked. This particular laptop does not have a dedicated graphic card so the workload on processor is too high. That's why it's not able to maintain its max boost clock. CORRECT me if I am wrong.
@@abhayd8437 Ya you are wrong. The cpu frequency is less not because there is no dedicated gpu but because the game is not cpu intensive in nature (hence not demanding 100% cpu performance). Also, it seems that the laptop is on balanced mode since cpu frequency is not locked at max. If it was on performance mode, the cpu frequency would be then capped at max, which is, as you mentioned, 4000Mhz. Basically if he play any other cpu/cpu+gpu intensive game on this laptop with performance mode, the frequency will be 4000mhz.

If a game is CPU intense, that means only it's CPU *USAGE* will be high which will be somewhere around 60-70%. Clock speed do not vary in normal scenario depending upon the game. But in this particular laptop the reason why cpu clock speed is lower is due to tdp power limit of 15 watt. Vega Integrated GPU is taking additional wattage while restricting the processor to hit its max boost frequency of 4000mhz. Thats not the case with acer aspire 5500u because it has dedicated GPU (1650). And secondly, I am not sure whether this laptop is running on balanced or performance mode, but I can definitely say for sure that *this machine can not run on its max boost frequency while running integrated graphics simultaneously even in performance mode.* That's what I can say from my own personal experience.
