All I know is 9k could buy not one, but TWO complete desktop setups that would run circles around this. Not to mention how much better those desktops would age than this will. You could probably fit an entire small PC setup in that storage trunk.

@@crisalcantara7671 Yep, but the framework 16 is the only laptop with a properly upgradeable gpu system. Hence why I believe anything else is just e-waste (Gaming laptops typically last less then 5 years due to a lack of serviceability.)
@@crisalcantara7671 Laptops usually never have the option to replace GPU and CPU anymore, older laptops were able to replace the CPU, and certain laptops had a so called mxm (Mobile PCI Express Module) slot, for mxm compatible gpus but it isnt standard at all.

if you think the rtx3090 gpus inside laptops are the same as desktops I got some bad news for you... are you maybe one of the people who actually believes today's thin laptops can even handle the heat dissipation? Uh oh no. There's a reason why real gaming laptops have to be so big with so many fans.
But hey think means up to 90-100 degrees celsius inside your laptop, insane degradation of your computer electronics... the faster it breaks, the sooner you'll buy another laptop because "hurr durr it's 5 years old, too old man, time to get a new one" because you really believe electronics have such a short lifespan.
Also it's not just "i9", it's also about the generation, gtx1080 is better than 2060 and around the same as 3060. But ok sure the cpu is good as well.
Also can you name me one single laptop that has 3090? Because other than one or two promises of some laptop supposedly having rtx3090, I can't a laptop that actually does have it... they only go up to 3080. And even the 3080 are available only to a few websites only on certain limited laptops, often not even in stock. Maybe wait another half a year until we actually get them.

@@arkadiuszjandylewski152 not to mention a mobile rtx 3070, this desktop replacement has two DESKTOP 1080s in it. Laptop gpus are getting close but they are not quite there yet. The mobile 3060 is equivalent to the desktop 3060 but the 70 and 80 aren’t matched yet with the desktop topping 30% and 50% respectively.

The mobile 3060 is equivalent to the desktop 3060, the mobile 3070 isn’t matched with the desktop 3070, and the mobile 3080 definitely isn’t matched with the desktop 3080. The mobile 3080 is close to a desktop 3070 in terms of real world performance depending on the cooling situation.

I love these, i really do. I dont care that they are big and bulky, i got the arms to carry it. I had the Alienware M18x R2. 18" screen etc. This predator was something else. But i have to say 1 thing, The Alienware M18x R2, was the last of the truely upgradable laptops. Originally mine was 12GB RAM 1TD HDD. Dual GTX 675m, i upgraded mine, but not quite like some have. the is freaks me out, some people have their 2013 Alienware laptop, yes 10 yrs old, upgraded to 32GB 2100mhz RAM(or 16GB @ 2400mhz max poss), Intel 3980XM cpu, single MXM GPU Quadro A3000 RTX, using the second MSM gpu slot for NvMe Adaptor!!!! and a m.2 2TB SSD and 2 further SSD's 8TB RAID 0 and 1 further SSD for backups. People are working on the later RTX quadros as well. It is now at the end of its limits, still makes me smile. Mine is dead in box under my bed now RIP. I love these big ass bulky laptops. But now there's a 4090 laptop to behold. Amazing

actually the name lap top is kind of dumb cause any high end game that is played on it or long use of it makes it get hot on the bottom cause of the compact size of medern laptops , laptop designers never tell us that laptops should be put on a type of stand or elivated position aspecially when gaming , always use a stand so or put something under it without restricting the vents on the bottom .
