- TAS on BIT.TRIP FLUX Catharsis (Tool Assisted Superplay/Speedrun (some call it superplay, some call it speedrun... so there's both xD))
This is for those who want to see perfect on every BIT.TRIP level, because it's somewhat irritating for me when it's not perfect.

@@matthewclark4510 I mean, there are Runner 2/3 games, which kind of take place in alternate continuity, where CV doesn't die.
Runner3 is fully uncanon.
BIT.TRIP RUNNER 2: The legend of the rhythm alien takes
a place between RUNNER and FATE.
It's basically this.

I can only imagine Flux if it had the production values of something like Runner 3. This game already feels like a celebration of the entire franchise rather than a series ender.
Even today, this game makes me cry every time I play it.
It's been more than 7 or 8 years since I beat this game and this level by up to 6:52 was nostalgic for me

or reset technically. resetting is rest because all the pain put on you during the long dream is also reset. the pain is returned to nothing as you do, but becomes something again as you do. the reset is true rest at its finest.

Catharsis is transition in reverse
@@noahgladdish2007 Beats and more CommanderVideo's being born. That's why on BIT.TRIP BEAT in the first level TRANSITION you see souls returning to their ethereal form. Since CATHARSIS is TRANSITION on a new perspective, souls being born see you returning home.
It's sad to see someone like CommanderVideo go like this, He Didn't deserve to die, but It was for a Noble Sacrifice to Defeat Timbletot, but at least the Runner Games make the Dream Alive for us, BIT. TRIP Fans

And this is why I feel like BIT.TRIP is connected to our reality and how it is connected to our life.
Let me explain...
Honestly, BIT.TRIP feels more like an alternate reality stuck inside of you. Each game comes into play in the real world for your real life moments. Each game of the saga is related to our us, our main reality, our normal lives, it’s what makes BIT.TRIP more than a series of rhythm games, it shows each step in life from a new perspective.
I could go on and on about BIT.TRIP being connected to us or how we are Commander Videos but we’re all seen as humans much like how everyone sees blood as red when it’s actually blue.
Overall, I have to say that BIT.TRIP is the closest saga of games and other media to be related to reality. It’s safe to say that BIT.TRIP is our world from a new perspective, a new point of view, hence the reason why I feel attached to it more than any other piece of gaming history.
Beat: is before birth and the end of beat is being born
Core: you as a baby trying to figure out how you work and the ending is the equivalent of us going to school for the first time
Void: social interaction and controlling yourself and the ending is you getting along with everyone and making friends
Runner: you are a bit older and have more experience in life and the ending is falling in love
Fate: some outside force killed you (which could be represented as the timbletot) and the people that care about you are mourning you
Flux: you are on your way to back where you began which is back to transition (first level in beat) and in transition in the end of the level you see other commander videos returning this way

This game and among the entire saga i played in the wii- demo or not 😅😅😅 i knew where each one was going and was obsessed im just glad when i get my switch i can game the saga out for myself.
You know this video makes me feel more relaxed and happy when I feel down... Especially that I have to move to ohio and leave all my friends behind... This video just gives me this reminder to stay happy and to stay determined♥
Awww... yeah it sucks so much to have to move away from your friends, from what was home. Starting a new chapter in life pretty much, but hey! You could make new friends there.. or end up living on the internet like me xD.

To me this looks like Commander Video reviewing his past, after a long hard journey. That, and, Commander Video is likely seeing everything from a new perspective. Nothing's new. Oh, and has anybody noticed that Bit Trip Flux may seam similar to Bit Trip Beat, but it's actually the opposite and also backwards? Think about it. Commander Video is in the AFTERlife, the paddle's on the OPPOSING side, every object in the game is the same object in Bit Trip Beat, but more beatified, AND through the gameplay, zooming across the screen, you see text of the three levels from Bit Trip Beat. BACKWARDS. The proper order is; Transition Decent Growth. But it's displayed like; Growth Decent Transition. Interesting?
For the level text names going across the screen, it’s been doing that for every level in the Bit.Trip series, starting with Catharsis on the first level of Flux. But yeah, your theory is pretty much the same as ours. c:
speaking of theories, i made a new one a little while ago at my friends house about Bit Trip Runner. Here's the theories; Y'know how there's 3 worlds? The first looks like a hard, rocky world without much civilization, whereas world two looks like more people (Whatever those black things are) have been around, because more things like grass are growing and there's more machines. But world 3 takes it to a whole new level with buildings and construction and pipes that make it look like today's modern world.Most people say that one part of the planet is rocky, the other is grassy and the other is a city. MY theory is that Commander Video doesn't run as fast as you think he does and stays in the same area of the planet, and only goes EXTREMELY fast when we dont really see him. In fact he might go SO fast, that he could be breaking the time barrier and traveling through time. Think about it.
this is a representation of beat but... well backwards! instead of coming to the physical world hes going back to the ethereal. becoming nothing again, to become something once more. the true afterlife.

Same that was hard asf mate. I played flux on the wii and it tore my heart wide open trying to figure out what those shapes mean in the cut scenes. Now its his friends and himself. But he cant talk to them he is dead so the move away just like he has.

What emulator are you using, and where did you get the BIT.TRIP Complete rom?
The emulator I used is Dolphin Emulator, which can emulate Wii games and Gamecube games. For the BIT.TRIP Complete game, you can rip the game from the disc or from a modded Wii if you have the physical game. Details on how to rip Wii games: wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Ripping_Games
I have a Wii with Homebrew and i downloaded the game but i'm just so bad at games cuz i only advanced in Runner

I made a sound mod for this game that basically replaced Meta's boops with the ones from TRANSITION while in HYPER.
It made much more sense for the game (despite a little glitch) for the game than a freaking _violin._

Honestly? Not really. It wouldn't make sense for Meta to sound like Hyper.
The entire point of the modes are that they are a steady progression of empowered states. At the most basic, you have Nether, where the music is silent or a metronome and the visuals are grayscale. Then, you have Hyper, the most basic form of the music, the plainest UI, and 8-bit boops. Then, the game progresses from there, until we finally reach Meta- the UI gets fancier and fancier, the music gets more layers, the boops get progressively more high-tech, then more realistic, until we reach Meta, which, yes, has violins.
Violins that sound amazing, and mesh perfectly with the music.
@@ThePoketrix you do have a point. Literally these beats existed throughout the entire saga so if he died and there wasn’t a fancy violin then the game wouldn’t have left a warm spot as it should have with something without it.
