The look of Triumph City in particular gives me such strong vibes of 2010 specifically.

So satisfying to watch all the gold done get gotten <3 This game created basically instant nostalgia for me when I played. I love how smooth and lovely the music becomes when you get to EXTRA. Also, I always hold my breath while playing Odyssey. I still held my breath watching this during the Odyssey part lol. ALSO, I'm right there with you in not liking the retro challenges because there's no music.

(Look out late comment alert) I think CV is feeling braver than the last two CORE levels because the tempo is slower, almost like CV is learning when to take it slow, and ramping up once he feels ready. He's in CONTROL in this stage.

Now I just realize the name of the stages in VOID all reference to the mind: Think of that scene with Kronk and his Shoulder Angel/Devil. Kronk is Ego the neutral side, Shoulder Devil Kronk is ID, the negative side, and Shoulder Angel Kronk is Superego, the positive side

I downloaded the demos for these back in the Wii days as a kid. I loved Runner the most, as my reflexes were trash and couldn't play the other ones with ease. I randomly remembered the series a few months ago and found out that they were on Switch. I bought the collection on sale for $2.39. Best decision ever. I love rhythm and retro games. Having a blast with all of these. These were WiiWare's finest games.

It's been more than 7 or 8 years since I beat this game and this level by up to 6:52 was nostalgic for me

Quick backstory to why this game is so nostalgic for me. Me and one of my best friends of all time Ezekiel would play this game on his Wii. I never had a Wii for myself because my parents didn’t think that I needed to gaming consoles. I had an Xbox 360 so they didn’t think I needed a wii as well. I would hang out with my friend almost daily, and we would play all kinds of games on his wii, but this was probably one of the most commonly played games when we weren’t playing smash Brose or Wii party or even Wii sports for that matter. It almost always was this game in particular. We would have big competitions, see how far each of us could get, and always jump and slide with the rainbow at the end of the level. Ezekiel and I recently just graduated high school last year. We went to the same high school and sat next to each other during the ceremony. Now he’s somewhere off in Louisiana in college. Miss you bro. Let’s play again some time
