I've never watched the show, just a lot of YT vids, but Rollo seems like he's a shitty brother to Ragnar. Even shittier than Ivar to Sigurd.

Sigurd was shitty to Ivar, always put him down and made his life miserable. The kid was always in a lot of pain because of his condition, he was not respected by others, and not by his brothers, his dad left when he was very young, it's no wonder he snapped.
This is what happens when you don´t learn from the first betrayal... or any other after it.
Vikings is 10x better than GOT

Everything is normal with my head. There should be problems with your head because you prefer a purposeless, fantasy show over a historical show, most of the series based on true stories.
Toostig Sorry in advance, this is going to be a little long, but I'll tell you that; GoT is much better made, arguably the highest quality production on television up to this point from the time TV shows became a thing. Extremely detailed, well crafted, and intelligent. Vikings though is much more focused, the characters are more memorable (Jon Snow is probably the definitive main character of GoT and he's as bland a main character as they go), the relationships of the characters matter more, characters are more likely to die since many characters on the forefront die from mundane reasons such as sickness and infections, making the stakes higher, since in GoT the most serious disease you could get apparently is treatable by someone who's not even a doctor. They even had the balls to kill off their main character off four seasons, and it wasn't even in the finale, yet they couldn't do that in GoT, where they brought him back, thus minimizing the stakes of death.
Their massive scale although impressive, seems to work against the show as well, because it never feels tight. A lot praise GoT for its treatment on female characters, and Vikings does that a lot better as well. Take Lagertha and Daenerys for example, the main female characters in both shows. Lagertha proves to be as skilled and capable in battle as the men in her life (even though not as physically strong, but that makes biological sense), shows ingenuity, leadership skills as a military and political leader, is not afraid to get down and dirty to get jobs done, whether it be farming or leading in battle fields (because she actually fights her own battles in the front lines, unlike others who only fight from the safety of their nukes), and even if you take everything away, she's still powerful because her mind is still there. Daenerys on the other hand, is respected and feared because she's walking around with weapons of mass destruction, take them away and what is she? A whiny brat who wouldn't be taken seriously by anyone and likely killed easily. She also is extremely entitled, asks not to have her father brought up when someone tries to size her up, but then says that just because he was king, she should be too, unlike Lagertha who helped Ragnar rise, denounced her crown in favor of keeping her dignity, and then had to work her way back there on her own. Daenerys causes chaos wherever she goes, can't lead to save her life and rules by terrorism. She says she's been through a lot of tragedy all the time, when really, her biggest tragedy which was Khal Drogo's and her baby's death was her own damn fault because she couldn't let him be scratched up. Lagertha had two or three miscarriages, has fought in battles, saw her friends die, was abused for the sake of her son, lost her home and her city, lost her husband, saw him again for a day ten years later and then he died, and yet she still doesn't mention anything and keeps her demeanor. Who is the better character here?
In GoT the men have to be downgraded for the women to shine, and nowhere is that more blunt and evident than in the 7th season. in Vikings nothing changes, they all have to prove their worth. Main characters, obviously are better in Vikings, Ragnar is much more charismatic and fascinating than most of GoT's main characters, who are the Starks, and the only one close to be as interesting as him is Tyrion. King Ecbert seemed to be the equivalent of Tywin Lanister (down to banging his son's wife) but proved to be must more interesting in the way he was always scheming and manipulating, down to his last hour, where he tricked the Vikings into thinking he signed off lands to them legally and died on his own terms, and not in a shitter. And seriously, find me a better discussion in GoT that even comes close or is as relevant to the dialogue he has with Ragnar when they're drunk and talk about their religions. I could really go on for paragraphs on end, but this is long enough as it is, but for many other reasons, I believe Vikings to be a bit better than GoT. Obviously you are free to think otherwise, but Khalilov is certainly onto something.
"The series is based on true stories" ... so *what?* I could make a film myself that is "based on true stories", would that automatically make it good? Your argument is bad and you should feel bad.
A Fantasy Show can be as good as a Historical Show. Also, Game Of Thrones is a complete different thing. While Vikings focuses basically on Vikings, and more specifically on Ragnar and his family, Game Of Thrones has a ton of different stories to tell from a ton of different characters. And it does that very fucking good! Which is super difficult!
Imagine a Writer that has to write simultaneously for 100 different characters and keep you interested in all of them. Have you seen that often? No, because it's not easy to do. And Game Of Thrones is loved for that specific reason, because it has many interesting characters to invest your emotions to.
Got and vikings are my 2 favorite things in the whole universe but GOT is better than vikings for sure

Oh thanks a lot, glad to know it, and yeah i didnt make a video since a while... :/ I have a lot of project (one on Vikings, one on GOT, one on Daredevil, and im inspired for others videos with great music), but i can't find the desire to finish them... Maybe with the end of Season 4, soon ! I hope aha :p And share me your video when you'll upload it, it's on Vikings too ?
yeah i know how it feels :/ i wanted to make a little montage on season6 from GOT but never finished it because i did not have the motivation at that time ;(

Yeah, for me the worst part it's to find the good speeches. After that the inspiration did all the video, it's more easier. But after 4 video, there is an other problem... All your inspiration, all you have in head, you have already use in the others videos :'( So you need to search everything, and it's hard, i'm too lazy x)
Well, no sorry, i never found a music after an idea... I mean... it's the music who inspire me, all the time i dont know what will be my next video, i search music, and then "oh... It's will be very good with Vikings" and in my head, when i listen this music, i find some good scenes / speeches who will be great.. I advise you to do the same, otherwise it's really hard :/ The music did 90% of the video, and if you're not inspired, it will be a bad video for sure.. So search a lot, find the perfect music, and im sure in your search, there is a high probability that you abandon the Bjorn Tribute for an other idea :p
