- In the latest episode of the Headlock Headlines, Marvin discusses the Paul Levesque era with both Trip and Tooney Khan (Our Puppet versions of Triple H and Tony Khan). But, of course, they have their own ideas on what that actually means! The gang then discusses AEW's record low ratings, with Tooney Khan blaming the situation on...certain people. Finally, Mercedes Mone calls in to flaunt her creative control clause and we finally answer the question...is she really THAT mean!?

Marvin losing his mind over all his offensive co-hosts to the point he accidentally ends his own show with his catchphrase is a highlight for me. It made me crack up 🤣

I don't watch AEW. I watch Marvin and friends talk about/smack talk AEW. The characters are far more realistic, and the storytelling is more entertaining.
According to the ratings not many watch AEW either.
Marvin: "How do people celebrate Juneteenth?"
TK: "They leave out cookies and milk for Rosa Parks."
As a white American, I 100% believe that the average non-black person believes this 🤣(also, before I get called out on it, Juneteenth celebrates the practical end of slavery in America given that there was a time lag between declaring the end of slavery and being able to communicate that declaration throughout the whole nation)

That one was pretty damn good. Also, Booker T when he got SWOLE. The way Trip said it had me rollin'.
The thing that gets me about AEW right now is that Tony Khan is copying arguably the worst storyline Vince Russo ever wrote for his biggest storyline. If anyone remembers WCW's Millionaire's Club or TNA's Main Event Mafia, that is basically the Elite vs AEW storyline. As great minds like Jim Cornette have said, you don't get people over in clumps, you need to attach younger people to stars or put them in storylines with stars in order to make them grow. This one however is somehow even worse because not only are the Elite unpopular but so is every potential "babyface" that could confront it
It was one HELL of a moment when I realised that two muppets , a ghost and a monster are providing better and more entertaining wrestling related content than a good 90% of the human sock puppets with channels in 2024.

Great episode, my main Monster, we appreciate the effort you put into it! The Juneteenth/Booker T bit killed and was so close to the truth it was almost painful. The upside of Mercedes Mone being on TV is that my lady was so repulsed by her she convinced me we can use that time on Wed night for literally anything else. You got the ghost of Roddy onto the show, how long before Dr D finds a place now?
I love the idea that, no longer able to wrestle, HHH steals TK's scrums and makes them the main event in his mind 😆
I swear, you just keep getting better and better with each episode you dropped. The whole Booker T bit had me dying (partly because I've been making those same jokes about the WWE for years now), and your Mercedes impression is so spot on that it almost ceases to be a caricature. Brilliant stuff!

Giving Mercedes creative control is the worst thing they could have ever done in AEW. You gave her 2 titles in 3 matches and Britt Baker just destroyed her last night on Dynamite saying everything we've all been thinking. We also have 100% undeniable proof that the Big Bang Theory is the biggest draw in AEW. Even more, after they just put MJF and OceanSpreay in a feud... involving Rating Cancer Garcia. It's shameful they blamed Kendrick Lamar, Juneteenth, and Black Panther for the low AEW ratings. But hey AEW is allowed to do all the disrespectful racist tactics in the world and get away with it.

Wwe have more views on a RUclips documentary that aired 16 hours ago than Dynamite gets for their big weekly show......somethings wrong. I really enjoyed AEW until around mid 2021. What's going on now is not working. Thankfully you guys have been making AEW actually entertaining with your kids. Keep up the good work!

Taking a moment, have you ever noticed how AEW really doesnt have their own sponsors?
WWE has Prime, Wheatley Vodka, Modelo, etc. AEW has Draft Kings, but so does WWE. Hell, at one point even TNA had Direct Auto Insurance and 5-Hour Energy. Aside from the sponsored matches they do for Warner to promote one of their shows, you rarely see "Dynamite is sponsored by ______" on TV. Even the Bucks themselves have their own deals with Reebok, but AEW's got nothing like that.
