Which Pokemon Comes First In The Pokedex?
The easiest way to remember the Eeveelution is that their order correspond to the legendary birds. Articuno-Vaporeon, Zapdos-Jolteon, and Moltres-Flareon.
Idk why I thought that zapmolcuno's name was in the order of the dex entries ☠️

I not only remember the order of the Gen 1 Eeveelutions, I remember the entire list of them.
Eevee
Vaporeon
Jolteon
Flareon
Espeon
Umbreon
Leafeon
Glaceon
Sylveon
The way I first learned to remember is as follows:
Vaporeon/Jolteon/Flareon correspond to Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres based on color or, to a lesser extent, type, and the Legendary Birds have the Spanish numbers to keep those ordered;
Espeon/Umbreon correspond to the Sun and Moon, respectively, and the Sun is brighter than the Moon, so it goes first;
Leafeon and Glaceon correspond to the Leaf and Ice Stones, respectively, and the Leaf Stone was introduced before the Ice Stone, so it goes first;
and Sylveon goes by itself since it introduces the new Fairy type.
Now, though, I just sort of remember how it sounds since I have said it so often.
As a hardcore eeveelution’s fans that last question was really easy.

I got them all! It’s honestly weird how a dragon type comes before a baby in the dex. (In Gen 2, I know Dragonite exists.)

I did an ultimate round-about logic for the eeveelutions.
Starters in order are
Bulbasaur
Charmander
Squirtle
Bulbasaur is first. It's grass and it's weak to fire. Which eeveelution has an advantage on fire? Vaporeon, so that one is first.
Charmander is second. It's fire and weak to water. Which eeveelution is strong against water? Jolteon, so that one is second.
Last is squirtle. Squirtle is water and weak to grass. Which eeveelution is strong against grass? Flareon, so that one is 3rd.
The logic works~
The eevees follow the order of the birds that match their color scheme, articUNO, zapDOS, molTRES

Lmao I got it all right by which Pokémon I first saw in pokemon series
The Gen 2 babies are in three groups. The first is Pichu, Cleffa, and Igglybuff, and they are early on in the Pokédex, right before Togepi. The other two groups are Smoochum, Elekid, and Magby; and just Tyrogue (followed immediately by Hitmontop). These two groups are late in the Pokédex, with the former being right before Miltank, Blissey, and then the Legendary Dogs.
Actually makes sense with eeveelutions in German First comes Vaporeon/Aquana Second is Jolteon/Blitza and Last Flareon/Flamara
I mean, Pat isn't wrong about the left one being first. When you need to choose the starter, Grass is left, Fire is middle and Water is right. Which Pokemon comes first in the Pokedex (Excluding gen 5), Grass.

Got the order right and my reason why I'd because every time an eevees gets the option to do a stone evolution it's in the order of water stone to the left thunder in the middle and fire in the right.

The eeveelutions are easy, just remember Articuno Zapdos and Moltres, that's their order. Can't remember their pokedex order? Uno=one dos=two and tres=three
