Have the 5.7 Hemi in our Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve and just purchased a 2023 Wagoneer L Series 2 with the Inline 6 twin turbo and air suspension....this Wagoneer L is a beast of a vehicle and definitely smoother and quicker than our Jeep Grand Cherokee L with the V8, which is crazy! ...also love that the standard output Hurricane engine is tuned for either 87 or 89 octane and has a 30.5 gallon fuel tank 👍🏽
We bought our 2023 GW S3 a few weeks ago. At 1003 miles, the check engine light popped on. Turned out that the GW's have a primary battery and an auxiliary battery. Our auxiliary was defective, and it was replaced under warranty. Other than that, there are no issues as yet. We have the Hurricane Twin-Turbo Inline 6, and it is very smooth. In the city, we're getting 16.5 according to the dash calculator and 20 mpg on 55 mph highways. However, when i calculate it, it's generally an mpg better. So, I'm not upset with the fuel mileage at all.
That’s great feedback. We had the same auxiliary battery issue on the Gladiator. Seems the start stop auxiliary battery is a week spot for Jeep. I hope your GW is worry free for the rest of your ownership. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The auxiliary battery seems to be an issue on any mopar that has one… had the same issue with our Pacifica and the battery was changed. 3 year warranty on the battery and almost 2 years to the day it went out again. They changed it again but according to the dealer the warranty is from date of purchase and not date of the battery which is a croc of bs. New battery new warranty..if your product doesn’t last through warranty time that’s a product and manufacturer problem. Not a customer problem.
Greatly appreciate this video! We are on the verge of purchasing a used 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series II. We’ve taken a few test drives and the ride is great, and the vehicle is in prestige condition. However, after some searches I’m reading a lot about electronic failures. Has this been a problem for you? Thanks!
We have only had the issue of the media screen getting stuck on a song which is easily corrected. Seems the more fully optioned the Wagoneer, the more issues. But even then, if it was as profound as some would leave you to believe, they would be recalled or a class action lawsuit would exist. Do you research and check the service history to know what your vehicle has encountered in its life. As you should any used vehicle purchase. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@QuickShifts Greatly appreciate the input. I have test driven the vehicle twice now and read the service record report yesterday. Thankfully one owner, no major work and zero recalls. It’s looking like we may take the plunge.
@@hintonb I actually ended up passing on this vehicle. We enjoyed the ride, but I had concerns about the air suspension and items in the CarFax report. I think it was driven pretty hard based on what I saw. I ended up getting a Land Rover Defender 110 SE and couldn’t be happier. Despite many concerns, this vehicle has been amazing for us.
@@ciscokid78 We also have now removed the wagoneer from our list. We are going with a Yukon. Has everything that the wagoneer has plus easier drive and parking. Glad the defender was a good choice!
Did you have any electronic trouble since this video? It’s the only thing that stops me from buying one, it’s that a lot of people complain about electronics problems! Thanks for the vidoe, really enjoyed it!
Great question. Every once in awhile, the media screen will get stuck on a song (the display of the graphic). Seems to happen when you first start the vehicle and switch user profiles. It’s an easy fix, just switch the media input back and forth from XM to radio and back and it’s unstuck. This, knocking on wood, has been our only issue thus far. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for the quick anwser. I own a 22 ram 1500, this kind of issue also happens in my truck, we have an 11 months old toddler, a 100 pounds bernese mountain dog and planning for a 2nd baby, so the ram won’t fit our needs anytime soon. I’m looking into a 23 carbide with the I6 so your review helps me a lot. Happy new year 🎉
Seems like a tough question as there are a variety of options. At the time of purchase, we laid out the options and prices of each was built similar. Additionally, we went and drove them all. At the end of the day, you got much more bang for your buck, a better infotainment system, and a nicer interior and driver’s experience in the Wagoneer. The competition was all beat. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@QuickShifts I recently picked up a leftover 2022 Wagoneer series 3. I felt the same. I’m astonished that Jeep could build a winner in its first going of a ‘full size’ SUV.
@@Cornbread-gi6kt have you had any issues? From watching around, it seems like series 3 have more concerns, likely just because it has more bells and whistles. How has your experience been?

@@noahmiller4953 I agree. New battery, new warranty. Seems ethical and logical. Although, I’d prefer they just fixed the problem. ;)

What helped you to decide on the Wagoneer besides a Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia, Nissan, Yukons, etc?

Does it fit in your garage?
It did, with no extra room to spare. An “L” wouldn’t have fit.
You might as well have bought a Range Rover or just burned your cash! The outcomes would have been the same.
Interesting comment. Ours has been a good experience with no regrets. Still enjoying it. What was your experience?
