I've waited to upgrade my Xperia 1 II and this V is just about right. Steep price but it absolutely checks everything I'm interested in. Love the Xperia camera setup as I'm an alpha camera user. Already pre ordered.

Nice pictures. I have accidentally ended up with this phone as it has a proper fingerprint reader NOT behind a screen, and has a proper bezel for a proper proximity sensor so it wont wake up in my pocket. All other phones in recent years fail me for one or both of these reasons. SO tired of pocket dialing people because we want to delete bezels! Bring back the bezel! Having a nice camera included is simply a bonus for me.

This dude deserved tittle "pro" unlike some other so called "pro" photographers on youtube.
I'v seen videos where so called pro photographers review S23 ultra,14 pro max and 1 V cameras and in every photo 1 V is worst of all just coz dude does not like natural colors. Even once he said," I like more left photo while right one has to much natural colors". Left one was s23u and right one was 1V.
I had to block that page...just had to. Its shame.

FANTASTIC video. I am planning a trip to Paris in September and would love to buy this beautiful phone before that. One question - Will the Sony Vlog monitor, XQZIV01, work with the 1V, and can it be used all day to take vacation selfies? Just use it as a rear screen, without the Sony grip.
Mate, can you upload those shots somewhere we can access the fuller resolution version. They are fabulous.
Turn on Auto HDR go to Photo Pro> MENU> Exposure> DRO/Auto HDR set HDR on.. default is off that's why the photo is overexposed.. same goes to me when first time using Xperia it took me many days before I realized the HDR was turned off, I wonder why the photo is overexposed. I hate it because the default is off, Sony supposed to set it on

I've been following everything there is to know about the xperia 1 V, but I have no clue how to get my hands on one as they don't sell it in North America.
Beautifull schots with Sony Xperia 1 V. I own one - best of Sony and one of the best of TRIO Samsung / Sony/ iPhone. But ...what charger do you use? I ask becouse i was only given Samsung charger with wire from some 3 pard country or whatewer...
I love that you can max out a 24mm lens. Whereas I (too) often use ultrawide or telephoto instead of the main lens. Can you tell me how to composition and maximize this 24mm lens so that it can produce amazing pictures and photos? Love your videos!

Would you reccoment this phone for pixel user? Currently I'm stick with pixel 6 pro and in the end of this year I have to order new one with new tariff. Wanted to take pixel 8 (pro) as next, but I do not have any hope to see that not with glass materials like 6 pro. I loved 2 XL and 4 XL because of form factor and materials, but new way of doing pixel is nogo to me. This is why thinking to change it. Researched whole marked and met Xperia, its exactly everything what I wanted and missed from the past time.
But the only one point - is the camera. I watched a lot of videos now and only yours can provide comparable or better result. I'm personally not such a pro guy, who knows everything :D so based on this info - would you reccomend xperia? Its even not the issue to learn new stuff to me, I'm interesting more in "how convinient to use it afterwards".
1 question , does it have 4k 60fps on video pro app or is it just in cinema pro manual app ?
I miss LG so much. They mastered so many things far earlier. The 32 bit quad dac is still superior to anything on the market. The simplicity and flexibility of the manual modes were so under appreciated. The mics on the v60 are insanity. Expandable storage is so convenient. If they made 1 premium, mid, and entry level device they'd still be here. Sony is great but double the cost. The camera software and multiple applications simply overwhelm 99 percent of users.

Thanks for the video. Do you have Sony Xperia as daily driver or return this to Sony and go back to your other Phone. If so, what is the reason? Also, can you please take some night shots with 16mm and telephoto lens. Night shots with those lens on my Xperia 1 iv are really bad and wanted to see if there is any improvement. Thanks again.
Only the main sensor was improved. Telephoto should be a little better because of the newer software but aside of that not that much different.

Hi..really love the shoot. May I ask whether the heat issue was solved? I am using Pro I and planning to switch to 1V, the heat issue in pro I is really bugging me off. It gets warm even just for a light usage for social media. Thanks and cherrs
I've got the Xperia 1 V right on release day. I don't have any problems with the phone :) It's just awesome!
I didnt have any Sony phone before so I can't compare the temperatures, but I can tell you - i didnt get a single error or felt that the phone is getting too hot.

@@mohamedmo959 i didn't use it for gaming. so far i am happy with the switch, i could enjoy the photography app without heat warning. And battery performace is amazing, i could have all day without charging it. Though i still miss the picture quality from pro i, due to its 1 inch sensor.

I like the xperia mainly becos i can put in a 1 TB micro xd card... but the very bland design compared to samsung s23 puts me off.... also the reviews of Xperia V vs Samsung S23 seems to put a bad light against the Xperia.... somehow....Sony really needs to do better all these years.....sad

Nice video... Although i like the device i feel it's overhyped. I've been using manual settings on my smartphones for a few years being i've always used manual camera. I found that on my pixel device though i can achieve what i want just by using the highlight, temperature and shadow slider built in the camera app already. Plus i can do long exposure in the bright day without a ND filter on the pixel. I found that because the phones don't have adjustable aperture they don't allow the creativity or control of a dedicated camera.
I'm disappointed. this video, like any other one that introduces the phone, is quite long and unfortunately only shows very few pictures. In addition, the images shown are also very small, so that it is difficult for me to judge the images correctly.

Nothing much with respect to the smartphone... any smartphone with a pro mode and good cameras like Oppo, Xiaomi, Samsung, do it even better...
But with respect to the photographer, that's a different story... my friend, congratulations for having generated excellent content, even having only an expensive and half-assed product, with only the main lens worth mentioning, you charmed everyone , even making someone think that having one of these devices is enough to achieve a photographic production like yours, but few people know that a good photographer does more with a $500 camera than an amateur with a $5,000 one.
