    7:30 In this digital age, and with analogue technology swiftly disappearing into the mists of time, it's always neat to hear someone say something analogue based about digital. Like, "filming", "taping", or in this case, asking "Is it rolling?"

      Dearest Sony, instead of giving to these bozos a probe to make fun of, you should upgrade its camera drivers to all 1/5 devices and lower the starting point price to all your devices and everyone will buy them like hot cakes. It's really sad, Sony, that your strategy is just... like this..........

    • @thesidneychan

      In my limited film career since 2011, no one ever stopped using analogue terms despite going fully digital of mirrorless. We still say rolling. Even the word "speed" and "SOT - sound on tape" . We call our work "films" even when it's all in a hard drive and not on reel.
      Some things are here to stay, like "hold your horses"

    I think Sony has room for huge improvements to be better than everyone else such as higher refresh rates like 144-165hz and faster charging like 65watts. If the Sony Xperia 1 6 had those specs or close to it would be the phone I'd buy forever.

    • @petouser
      @petouser Год назад +2

      refresh rates more than 120 are pretty much placebo, especially on smartphones. There are good reasons to stick with 120 hz. First of all, 120 is dividable by 24, 30 and 60, so it can play all major refresh rates without interpolating. it isn't a gaming phone, so it doesn't need more than 120.

    • @dedoyxp
      @dedoyxp Год назад

      refresh rate not so important. But some other critics point out about touch sample rate quite low which is much more important.
      I agree with faster charging like 65 watts, many charger already support the tech, but mostly only for laptops, should've been able to be used for phone too and you can have 65 watt for all device.

    I prefer iOS as tool plus I want to get Apple Watch Ultra too, but I prefer more natural looking photo and video and I think Xperia is the one that can provide, do you think it is wprth to change and use Xperia 1 V as main phone or better get a camera like Sony A7C / C ii with 20 - 70 mm F4, but phone will always be easier and more often to carry, what do you think? For iPhone, I won't get the Pro tho because I love Yellow color and I will get the iPhone 14 6.1' Yellow, but I not sure should I wait and see if iPhone 15 has Yellow color too! Xperia 1 V focus and market more on camera but is still not over the top in picture quality, highlight still blown out, dynamic range still can't beat computational photography, only if theyable t add more OP while still retain their natural looking image quality, try use hsrdware more than software to achieve and improve their image quality but they only add new main camera hardware and no hardware improvement to ultra wide and tele photo, seem missed change or they want to retain them for Xperia 1 VI or else it will be less selling point for the next model, do Sony ever improve the camera quality with software like Samsung after the phone been released for sometime?

    the thing that is so frustrating about these youtube reviewers is how they will admit how good the camera system is on the Xperia.....and how camera like it is (and many of these guys are photographers)......as well as how it even produces better results than an iphone......but then they openly admit to being "apple fanboys". Which just totally makes their reviews essentially pointless. Because why are they fanboys of one particular brand yet are brand agnostic when it comes to all other devices and equipment? And why would you be a fanboy (Kai's own words) of a camera system that you KNOW is not the best on smartphones (galaxys, Oppos, Xiamis etc also have strengths over the iphone) and of a company (Apple) who frankly have innovated damn near nothing in years now when it comes to smartphone cameras?
    You can say what you want about the Sony Xperia 1 mark V ....but it has a physical glass variable lens that moves usuing magnets, and has a dual layer sensor (the first of its kind in any electronic device). That is innovaton, and a lot more than anything Apple has done for some time now.

Before I made Sony my daily driver, I heard the warnings about heat management...but, I thought to myself NO BIGGS because I rarely use my phone for content...well, it turns out my Experia 1 III is ridiculously oversensitive to heat just walking around. In my classic '95 Jeep Wrangler that has barely functional AC, if I drive around town (Las Vegas) on a normal 100º day, within 30 minutes I get a heat warning and not even using it. As an an actual phone, I like the Sony's..but, I am not going to pay the extra $$$$$$$$$ for a phone that is slightly more heat tolerant.

Again, this is not even when I am creating content....but, it might be if direct sun is hitting the front screen either in my jeep or on a table at lunch outdoors. What I like about this 1 iii it is NOT 5G...which I believe is only beneficial to advertisers so they can track location better....the LTE works fine for me. Dearest Sony, instead of giving to these bozos a probe to make fun of, you should upgrade its camera drivers to all 1/5 devices and lower the starting point price to all your devices and everyone will buy them like hot cakes. It's really sad, Sony, that your strategy is just... like this..........

    So, let me get this straight... the designers thought "you know those smartphones, that always have the front glass cracked because people drop them? How about we make the back out of glass as well for no reason. So that way, when people drop their phone, the back can also crack" "You are a bloody genius Gary, let's go to lunch" xD
