8:30 Phil has said in interviews that around this era of QI he was in awe of Stephen’s google-like brain and ability to control the room, but discovered he could thwart him by simply flirting outrageously, just for the fun of seeing Stephen become an embarrassed jelly.

That episode has one of the best anecdotes of the whole series as well, when Julian met the Queen.

      @@vhaarr
I believe Julian’s anecdote, about the time he accidentally “shat himself”, when he met the Queen, was in his previous Qi appearance; the episode was called “Differences”, and also featured Jo Brand, and Dara Ó Briain (along with Alan Davies, obviously)...and yes, I’m well aware of how sad I am, for knowing both the name of the episode, and who else was on the panel haha.
In my defence, it’s one of my favourite episodes; not only that, but I watched it recently, and have seen it dozens- if not hundreds of times (and that is no exaggeration) before...which I realise only further adds to my being a very sad, sod haha.
It’s such a fantastic episode, and Julian Clary is really on form, making both Alan Davies, and Jo Brand, cry with laughter, at his Queen story; I can’t remember exactly, but I recall seeing an interview, with Alan Davies, where he said something about Julian’s story being one of his favourite moments on the show, and that he (Julian) made everyone absolutely lose it during the taping.
I would have loved to have been in the audience for that episode, to see how long it took for everyone to regain their composure; I imagine they probably had to edit out a great deal of it, for time constraints haha.
Hope you, your loved ones, and anybody that sees this reply of mine. are keeping safe, well, and sane, during these messed up times. 🤞😀🤞
      All the very best. 👍😀
