- New QI! Funny Rounds From Series S - U!
Funny rounds from some of the more recent series of QI, hosted by Sandi Toksvig, featuring Alan Davies, Bill Bailey and many others!

Best birdsong - the Australian magpie. Melodic, stochastic, almost the bird equivalent of a yodel.
I just realized that if Alan Davies were to shave his head, he could totally pass as Bruce Willis. At least until he spoke 😂
Omg I see it 😂
Vespa - is the brand of motorcycles, and means 'wasp'. Vesper - Bond's first girlfriend is an evening prayer.
That does clear something up for me, thank you.
When I watch 'Caefael', I used to picture the Brothers going of to ride around on Scoooters of an evening.
I used to wonder if the Abbott had a more up-market Heinkel Tourist.
Scooters are not motorcycles,at best they are a moped. They were designed for Italian women to do their shopping.
@@aleccowden9977technically not a moped, as a true moped has an engine AND pedals. An early hybrid
cycle - short for bicycle, meaning two wheels
So yes, a Vespa is a two wheeled motorized cycle
Vesta is a goddess (and a match), and a Wispa is a chocolate bar.
I once needed a computer to give me a three digit random number, and it gave me 100. Just as random as any other.
After 19 years Alan finally snapped haha
I wonder how many people have put their fingers in their ears to hear Pac-Man over the years now 🤭
As a Spanish speaker, listening to that at 25:00 would be more difficult than sayin nothing
That rabbit communication didn't really help anyone , or the snail mail from France
Re: The Plane Boarding question, Alan turns int Will Self, just for a second.
you don't go _down_ the path to innuendo . . .You go right up it
crescinnuendo
OMG I swear I think that I was the one who first said if you stick your finger in your ear and scratch it sounds like Pac Man sound! I believe it was years ago on Twitter. Aw I could have been 15 minute famous. Then again like all great moments in history there were multiple discovers. Solider on my fellow weird comrades!
Except it isnt true.
@@zapkvr
Except it is. I just did it.
Maybe your ears are wrong. Kinda like your brain.
That's been around a long time, I think the first time I heard it was in the 80s or early 90s
I dont know what they did with that telepathy research to get results, but eeg has notoriously bad spatial resolution. Meaning you dont really know where a "brainwave" originated only when it happened. The brains response to TMS is very complex, even if you could find the exact point that would not mean the person recieving TMS would know what to do in Tetris
Sarah's look is aces. 8-)
It may just be a theory or it may be a spy detail which thriller fans pick up on : by asking for it shaken, the alcohol goes to the bottom and so it's diluted and he won't get drunk/tipsy ...it could also be a way to carry any added spy toxins to the bottom with the alcohol. (Although I seem to remember Bond did get knocked out with toxins in his drink a few times?)
People are generally predictable when picking lottery numbers. They tend to stick to prearranged numbers relating to family birthdays, house numbers etc. I have met people who cannot get the idea that in the lottery each draw is random and that it’s not the case that if say number 5 doesn’t come up for a week or two then the chance of it coming up in the next lottery are increased. The chance of a number coming up is reset everytime a new lottery is drawn.
😃👍🇬🇧
Any of you saw the fly on her head? What did it mean? Was she dead and already rotting? So many questions.
I dunno man. I teach music and play 6 instruments. I understand the argument of course but in all 3 cases, the second note was quite clearly "higher". There's a difference, as anyone who plays the piano knows, in C3 and C4 for instance.
22:22 comes from the Q Series (QI-Quarrels), not from S-U.
😢
Bridget also having trypophobia makes me feel seen 😅
I would have thought that Deborah's earings might have been an issue too
EEG cap wish i had access to one
You have to bring home the arthropods when you’re a Flamingo husband….
A plea from the UK - I echo the sentiment that you cannot take any assumptions about electoral outcomes - so many people thought Brexit would never go through and our country is totally screwed. Get out there and vote! Voter apathy is a sure fire way to guarantee a Trump victory
This, a million times this. Voted early in my adopted swing state of North Carolina.
Let's hope that enough people learned their lesson from last time, plus the other time the electoral college system had already failed to match the popular vote since 2000. 😮
Sadly, nothing was learned . The majority of america are caught up in a cult and will obey the culture leader
That didn't age well....
This didn't age well at all we are all crying over here... apparently 72 million people liked what the rape carrot had too say. Don't enjoy my own country
If you play spotify on random I guarantee it will play a song within 3 songs so annoying I will throw my phone against the wall
I have intuition. Several times a month, I find myself doing something without a practical reason. There is seemingly always a positive outcome. I feel things others seem not to. I am a douser. My first try appeared hopeless but upon I saw a straight line of heal prints over my thirty metre storm water drain. I can feel electric current through household wireing.
Starts with R...
I would just like to say that being afraid of holes is the weirdest thing I have ever heard
its a phobia called trypophobia. i have it too but even i didnt find the cheese that disturbing LOL! i was so confused what they were upset about 😭
My ex apparently couldn't wear anything with buttons as a kid, because the button holes freaked him out 🤷♀️
Dude, I had it for a while. Then realised how many crumpets I missed out on 😂
I have the phobia, I’m not scared of holes but random arrangements of them makes me nauseas
@@roosickle for me I can’t handle slits or repeating rows of rectangles specifically
Why does Allen have to shout when he interjects.
'Sley (or slay) queen' is the correct terminology
Sleigh Queen is Mrs Clause.
On randomization, how can you say it's random when sometimes it starts the first 10 songs in the same order as last time you went to have a listen, and plays certain songs much more after you've been using the program more? It's like it stars some songs and plays them more than others. I know this is true-I've listed them as I listened. I'm speaking of Windows Media Player.
no one knows what random means
Sieves don't have holes, that's a colander
They both have holes but they're made differently. Holes in a sieve are made by creating a mesh of wires with gaps in between while holes in a collander are punched or drilled.
@@nicholasvinen I disagree that a mesh is the same as holes. If a sieve scares her because it is actually a series of 'holes', then on that basis any fabric is also a series of holes and she should be even more scared of her clothes because they have lots more holes than a sieve.
@@passengerplanetearth Yes but the holes in fabric are generally too small to see (except for the poster above afraid of button holes) and the point of asking about the sieve was to find out how small the holes have to be before they stop being scary.
@@vink6163 11:51 "They have to be round... ...I"m not insane!"
The gaps in the mesh of a sieve are not round. So a sieve wouldn't bother her. Tennis rackets and nets are also meshes but she says they don't bother her. She means a colander. I rest my case.
@@passengerplanetearth Button holes aren't round either but apparently they bother people too, so I still think it's a valid question to ask, to find out from the individual in question given how much it apparently varies person to person.
When playing a lottery, if you want to win keep playing the same numbers every time. That series of numbers will come up eventually, so when you play the same numbers every time your odds of winning go up. If you play different numbers every time your odds of winning never change. Think about it, it is true. I do not play any lottery because I feel it is gambling and prefer not to do it.
That telepathy experiment is dreadfully flawed. The person making the moves would see the same “best” moves as the people supposedly sending the instructions. For it to be convincing the correlation would need to be in the mid to high 90%
I believe Sandi says the one receiving the moves could not see the screen. So they would not be seeing the correct moves at all.
@@BastardintheBlackyou are correct. She did say that.
I know of no demonstration of any form of psi abilities that are reproducible under controlled conditions.
Davies is the least funny person on tele, 9 out of 10 people in any pub in Britain would outwit him.
Alan Davies just gets more and more annoying as time goes on
what triggers you about him
and what you don´t like about yourself?
