Isaac, you are a very special guy. You really touched my heart today, and I really needed what you’ve said. Bad day. Quite. I suspect everyone, really, has a diagnosis or two and can relate. As for me, I overheard an emergency room nurse outside my cubicle say in amazement, a few years back, “She has a whole alphabet of diagnoses!” I’ve outlasted my sell-by-date now by nearly twenty years by research and fighting tooth and nail, and today I was pretty near giving up. I mustn’t; I have a couple people counting on me. So thank you for being you!
Jen Q Thanks, Jen! Sorry to hear about your anxiety and depression. I’ve experienced those, but only from a situational effect - and that’s enough! Mine are more physical than mental, but you know, physical issues often cause mental effects, too, and that’s true for me. Relentless negativity and nightmares. Prescriptions don’t help and have their own downsides. I’ve been seriously chronically ill and disabled for over thirty years now, and I’ve lost my support network as they’ve died themselves, alas.
Jen Q Some aren’t, some are! I’ve remembered past lives since I was three years old or less. Some were what I’d call ‘rest’ or ‘vacation’ lives - and I think I’ve earned one of those next! People will say, “She sure has it easy!” Without knowing what this one was like 😏. ‘Til then, yup: one day at a time. Even one moment at a time, some days!
I'm sorry that you're going through that. You are such an avid Cereal Squad member and it means so much that you're here. Thank you so much for your very kind words, and I'm so glad that I can be here for you and everyone else! Never ever feel like you're alone, and know that reaching out is never ever a bad thing. You are so important to this world! So thank YOU for being you! #cerealsquad
I'm a caregiver of someone with anxiety and a traumatic brain injury. This was great for me to, to remember that we are a team working this together and remembering that he is a good guy worth fighting for even on the hard days. I encourage caregivers to look for support from other caregivers in similar situations so that you realize though life is different, you're not alone!
Thankyou for your help and honesty about mental illness. Im dealing with all the same stuff and its not easy. Winter is a hard time .Hopefully with Spring coming it will get better. Medication has helped me %100. All the best Jen
LOVE YOUR INTRO!!!!!!!!!!! I love that you can open up about mental health and help others along their journey. I have always dealt with depression/anxiety but no diagnosis. My 11 year old son was diagnosed with autism a few years ago which is a little different but brings its challenges for him and just recently only at the beginning of this month my 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with OCD. She came to be telling me that she was having a lot of bad thoughts in her head that she couldn't control along with other symptoms and we have spent a couple weeks in the hospital to finally get her diagnosis and she starts intensive therapy on Monday so that is great news for her and us :) I'm so happy she felt comfortable coming to me and telling me what was going on in her head. Thank you for being so brave and strong and helping others
Thank you for the advice, it can be hard for me to deal with not being understood by others or seen as crazy, but you’ve helped me realize my mental health is my own and it’s okay that some people don’t unferstand
Hi Isaac, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on mental health. It's a topic that doesn't get talked about very often. I really admire the strength of people who talk about it.
#cerealsquad Great video bestie! It spoke to me. Mental health is so important just as important as physical health and we need to have an open dialogue to discuss things and ways to cope. You know I’m going through a dark time. Thank you for being there for me! I’m always here for you 🥰🌸🥰
Good morning and good night to everyone! I'm going to sleep now. Will watch Video later. - We're over 300.000 at the petition! And new video from SBSK asking for help, new idea. - Looking forward to this topic, Isaac! See you later! #UnsilenceSBSK #CerealSquad
Thank you Isaac you have no idea how much this video means to me! and it gives me hope to see someone doing so well I hope to get to where you are some day your so aware. Thank you Thank you thank you !!
I'm so happy to hear that! It makes me happy to know that I can help you guys so much! With very hard work and determination I got to where I'm at today, is everyday perfect? No absolutely not! I won't sit here and tell you it is, but that's the side that not many people do see. I try my hardest to stay strong and you guys help SO much with that. I'm sorry that you're dealing with these things but in the end they will only make you a stronger person from gaining that strength to your mental health! Don't ever be afraid to reach out to anybody you feel comfortable with, and never EVER feel alone because I can promise you one thing you're not! Thank you so much for watching and being a part of the Cereal Squad!
Hi Isaac, I'd like to hear more about the music you play and what instruments. I have schizo-affective disorder. One day near Christmas, we went to the mall and it was so loud that I could not hear anything in my head! I just started laughing and told my husband! :) Obviously, I did not have sensory overload. Cecilia McGough loves to listen to Pink. I love Meatloaf! I don't do well with "support" groups. I was on one in FB and I happened to say "nut house." This guy freaked out and started yellling at me. His wife was the one with the illness, not him. I used to work in a mental health hospital for men who had pled NRRI (Not Responsible by Reason of Insanity) to crimes and child rapists. I had been on the psych ward myself; so I thought that guy was a complete ass for me using that slang. What is this phrase "being social"? I don't have anybody to hang out with. Once a month, I go to a stamping workshop. I am an extrovert and get my energy from interactions. It also helps, for a while, with the physical pain. The first shrink that I saw was in college. He gave me the Minnesota poop test, then told me I was fine and almost patted me on the head as I left his office. Another one told me I was bi-polar, gave me Lithium and sent me out the door. Thanks for all of the info, doc! His office was painted a dark red. I told him it reminded me of Sybil. He got mad. Sheesh!
wow, thank you Issac for answering the question, you've answered more than i was expecting but i loved it none the less cos it's kinda answered some things about me that i didn't realize where going on like hiding away in my bedroom all the time and pushing people away like friends, and i didn't realize i was doing that, among a few other things, anyways what is your Facebook, i don't think i'm on it. XxxxxX
It's so important to identify those factors. I hope, that you're taking car of yourself, and can build a strong support network for yourself. All the links to my social media are in the description. If you go to Facebook and look up Tic talk or Tic Talk News I should be right there! You can message the page anytime! I'm so glad I could help! Thank you so much for watching!

A "character". I love it! That is such a cool way to describe someone. I doubt I have reached that level of coolness. :)
