In this video, I just wanted to talk about clash royale and whether or not it can be saved. The game right now is in a terrible state and community sentiment is at an all time low, but I still believe the game still can recover in the future. What's really sad is the way that clash royale makes an evolution broken, and only decide to nerf it, after everyone has bought is
they did nerf the evo bomber before release but still its pretty op, also for some reason they decided to not nerf the evo wall breakers but to rework them in a way that i feel like makes them more op in most scenarios

What's also ridiculous is that they changed the way chests work. When monk came out, I already had all the champs maxed, so every champion I drew it would be a monk automatically. Which was great. Now Little Prince comes out and they're selling him in the shop HARD. But every chest I open goes to a random champ, and not once have I gotten a LP card from a chest. There's NO WAY.

For me, even if I am in the right arena, I still haven't gotten Monk, however, I am sitting at nearly 20 wild champions and other champions are at 10x and ready to be upgraded. It's so fricking annoying.

Just a quick question, if you get a champ to level 15, do they stop appearing in chests?
@@blackchryslernope. They used to, but they changed it so now its more likely to give you the one you already have so that you have to buy more to get the rest.

I’ve loved this game since the beginning but it just doesn’t give me the same enjoyment now, I don’t want to grind this game anymore because I don’t see a bright future. I no longer believe in the dev team, why should I play a game that seems to have no future 😭
nope, you're just bored of the game as a whole, the human mind moves on eventually and I guarantee that if the game has stayed in the state it was years ago, you would've left the game much earlier.

@@carpetcarpet99 Lots of games have maintained its player base and even got players to return like clash of clans (with builder base 2.0 or clan capital) or league of legends (changes to map and items every year or so). Clash royale, unfortunately, slowly edged outside of innovative gameplay and just decided to put random challenges and p2w cards to hopefully give the illusion that they're making changes to the game and slowly fixing it (they're not). Their challenges are nothing more than just mods added to the original game. I remember the hype when actual game modes like touchdown was introduced. I personally still play the game but I do see myself quitting in a couple of months if this continues to be bland.

7:47 Clash of Clans barely even reworked their pass. While Clash Royale and Brawl Stars completely redesigned them + added an additional pass tier, CoC simply added a few more tiers to both the free and paid sides of the pass, which was a good and simple change and also benefitted f2p players
The major thing they reworked is the price💀💀. Nah jokes aside the BH treasury and stuff like that was still a nice buff. But imo the even pass is actually even better because of its cheaper price and cool rewards
Clash of clans added those event passes now, that you really need to upgrade nur Equipment, because the equipment is released way quicker then you can upgrade that. So coc is starting to be pay2win as well :(
@@NLX_n999 this was the past, now you can find ores via trading shops, and in their latest coc channel video they said that the loot rewards multiplier will affect ores so no, they're not p2w.
I think it’s cause they know people don’t play coc to spend money they play it for the grind. At least that’s what I do but I haven’t bought the pass since it was 5 USD

The last straw is locking double evolution slots at level 15. Which you need to grind for. I used to love this game. But THIS isn't the game I loved before. What happened?

Played brawl stars for 1 month and already maxed 2 brawlers and other high level brawlers Clash royale for 1 year NO maxed cards(f2p both)

Brawl stars did a solid job they are now providing more value to player who pay but on the same time they keeping f2p in good state giving best progression they can get and the game is not even p2w because everyone can get hc from legendary drop fro free
Yeah, they seemed to emulate what they learned to BStars instead of also implementing it to Clash Royale...like okay, Brawl Stars is heck a lot of fun, but why not do that too for Clash Royale? It was a bit disingenuous on their end ☠️

ngl i think one of the biggest issues this game faces all comes down to balancing. Clash royale for the past year especially has kinda just turned into, “Place shit down” the game bc evos are busted af and win you games. Sonetimes cycling to your evolution is the only way you win. I literally have games i rewatch that i say to myself, “WELP should’ve cycled better”. This is where we are at in terms of the gameplay
No i dont think that at all, for me, if your good enough you can win with any deck. I have a inferno dragon graveyard deck (no lava hound and my only other legendaries are log and mega nut)

@@zeke3620 Was playing leagues, got to league 8 where I was only level 14 not 15, instantly was at a 40% disadvantage easily. Stupid game, quit, don’t waste your time. They’ve done the same thing since day 1. Release, buff, nerf, repeat. Just look at the shop. Its filled with offers for people to buy. Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4.. But typically 4.. 5.. 6..

The most frustrating thing about the state of this game has been experiencing it as a 98% free-to-play casual. I won't go into details, but the clan wars 2 update remains my least favorite update in the game's history because it made me quit entirely for a month. I finally started buying the pass royale 2 months before that got updated, and I've only gotten 1 diamond pass, but apart from that I've been exclusively f2p since 2016. I finally got my 2nd level 15 card TODAY and am super proud of it. The perfect match event last month got me my only evolution.
I don't really play challenges, and since 2v2 was moved to the events tab I forget to play it (but that was my main mode for about a year before that particular update). 99% of the time I open the game I'm either playing ladder or war, and it's so hard to progress that way. I don't mind a grind, and I understand the need to monetize a free-to-play live-service game, but for the love of god could they at least not actively punish people who opt not to buy every diamond pass?
they should have added Champion/troop Skins instead of lvl 15. You can also have different special effects on the Champion Abilities and different death animations.
You can get a low tier free skin by completely mastering a card.
Some clan changes that I think would be cool:
1. Bring back Clan Chest but the Clan Chest can only be completed if the majority of the clan plays Path of Legends. It's just an extra reward.
2. 9000 trophies don't mean much right now so add another requirement like you have to be a Ultimate Champion player to join this clan
3. Please add Clan Wars 3. Waiting for a chest for a week is painful. During the week 3 days are you just sitting there.
i find that the only problem in clash right now is the clan aspect of the game

I think it would be better off if it just died. It’s total garbage and encourages people to harass you with the hopes of them beating you down enough for you to spend money on the game in the hopes of possibly winning some games.
The meta right now is fkn ass Sparky Gob Giant or Hog fire cracker every other game :)

2024 clash royale is important to play without evolutions and champions, which are impossible to get consistently as a free to play. At least in 2017, if you were a free to play, you could fill up a deck with mostly common cards and still compete in top global. Those times are over. The ceiling for free to play players is generally around master 3, and that’s very discouraging.
removing party mode was the worst thing to ever happen for me, i have never spent a single penny on clash royale and i dont want to spend any money, so i cant play ladder because everybodys max level when im like lvl 10, i loved to play casual because everybody has the same level cards, its all about skill, theres no down side to losing, and the gamemodes were genuinely fun, whether it be 7x elixir or rage battle, or my favourite 1v1/2v2 touchdown draft, i remember playing this with my cousin all day, most fun i have ever had, it was so good because it wasn't competetive, everything was chill, nothing to win or lose, now its in the season token stuff, which 1: the gamemodes are limited, 1v1, 2v2, and a random special one that lasted for a week, why cant it be permanent? some of the gamemodes are fun but most are, prince spawns at the back, evo skeleton spawns at the back, boring as hell, some repetetive excuses for money, the games are competetive too, people want to buy stuff in the season shop so they o anything to win, whether it be using an op meta deck, ebarbs rage, e-giant etc. my point is, there was legit NO REASON AT ALL to remove party, endless casual gamemodes instead of how to defend a card with crazy hp, crazy damage, reflects attacks and thats just one card, i can go on forever about the op cards, i dont get why the removed party mode, adding seasons was fine but why would the just delete party mode? same with heal spell, just add a new card, some people like the spell some like the spirit, its supposed to be use your skill to have fun, not pay the most money to watch your 2 elixir push 3 crown.
Same here, quit the game since 2v2 getting no chest.
No heal spell needed to go, it was basically almost useless except with 3M which was one of the most op cards in the entire game at that time and heal spell was one leg of its power as the spell was basically only useful to heal 3M against poison or just back up from lower hp.
biased opinion but chests for playing 2v2 was kind of weird to me, because chests are supposed to be earned, not just free yk

@@nickichiang8678 Well most people dont wanna risk losing 300 trophies just to get one chest just because the match up is crap. So keeping 2 v 2 chest is fine. Also you have to win in the 2 v 2 so it is not getting it for free in the slightest.
This video actually surprised me, im a newcomer with this being my first video and it really gave a good 1st impression, keep up the content !
i deleted this game a few weeks ago, it was whenever they added a 2nd evolution slot. been playing on and off basically since release and was actively playing on my f2p account for about a year or so, had a mostly maxed out classic logbait deck, knight evo etc. the combination of knowing i'll regularly have to defend pushes from p2w players with whatever the 2 most broken evos currently are along with knowing i'd have to have KING LEVEL 15 to even compete (i was king level 13) finally got me to delete the game and both of the other supercell games i still had on my phone.
good job, supercell. you made what i still consider to be the best modern mobile game into something so p2w and infuriating that i couldn't play it anymore.
Fun fact: supercell is finlands #1 tax payer out of all the companies
I’m glad the he spent who knows how much time of his day on a video explaining his true thoughts and feelings on Clash Royale. I think what the game needs most is to half the cost of E wild cards and whatever you spent to get a card to level 15, you will get half back for what you spent to get that card to level 15, lower the price of the gold and diamond pass since it’s not as worth it as it was back then, add two more elite wild shards to the season shop for the same price so you can get six card evolutions per year of your choice, and finally allow the community to come up with new card ideas because with more card evolutions coming in the future, Clash Royale might as well
I always thought about some changes to the game that would help it like for example a change to evolutions to not require evolutions shards and you unlock all evolutions as soon you unlock evolutions and have the cards but can't be changed now like evolutions and the only way to fix it is either a ton of balancing and giving a ton of stuff to players who spend a lot of money or just end clash Royale and make a sequel/remaster
The pass Royale thing was ridiculous as a free to play person I never buy the pass but I once got a legendary book of cards in the pass. the best pass item I've received since the rework was a golden chest.
I’d like to see you do a video where you start 2 new accounts one on CR and another on brawl stars compare progression and see which one you find yourself wanting to play more.
Brawl Stars is now so easy to get strong right now, Brawl Pass, Starrdrops, Mastery and Mega Pig and Ranked, Bling being available so early allowing to get Cosmetics and rewards for free mostly!
I understand why this man is frustrated. The game was really good on launch. I remember when the game first launched in the US I was in middle school and everybody collectively lost their shit. Everybody was downloading it and playing it and all the talk around the school was for that year was Clash Royale, and sadly, those days are gone

I'm happy this preformed well, I don't even play clash but from one mobile game player to another, it sucks seeing a game once held in such high regard go down this path

You're not close minded, you're right. If they had just made existing features better, like tournaments, and clan wars, nevermind about adding new amazing features that weren't cash grabs. They would have 10 times the playerbase, making 10 times more money. Their management has been laughable.

after being terrible at the game during its early years and finally coming back and playing skillfully in January of this year, I was so in love and played for like.. over 24 hours in just one week. And the more i progressed in the game the more difficult it got, i dislike how the recent updates are so card focussed. i fell out of it so fast with how hard everything got, and the passes BARELY do anything. I bought two diamond passes and only leveled up 5 cards and had a good amount of gems and coins.. it was nothing. i also feel like the matchmaking can be so unfair sometimes, especially with the double evo slot. it’s been a week or so since i’ve touched the game and i just miss how good it actually was, especially before i got back into it this year. that was when getting legendaries was actually exciting and when playing it was enjoyable
at the same time part of why i fell out of it was just because i’m kind of ass at the game
but still, every other bad factor of the game just adds onto that, and it’s really sad seeing a game from my childhood i absolutely adored falling off like this
Clash Royale is just a lost cause at this point. They don't listen to the community that often, the state the game is in is horrible. They can't really recover from this, no matter how many free evolutions they give out. The game has been seen as a cash grab for so long and CR did it to themselves. Like you said, the concept of evolutions are amazing, but its tiring after seeing all of it behind a paywall. Games like Brawl Stars have a similar mechanic called hypercharges, BUT if you're a F2P then you can actually buy them with coins. Not to mention, once a new wave of hypercharges release they give out a free one by doing a challenge. I'm not saying Brawl Stars is perfect, recently they have had issue with broken characters behind a paywall, but they are still doing WAY better than they ever have. The developers actually listen to the community, they look at data and decide whether what needs to be fixed or changed within the games mechanics. They are quick to go into maintenance to fix any bugs. This is the exact reason I quit CR and went to Brawl Stars, I just think the game is better in almost every way.
I'm really not sure if CR can come back from what they've done. Like I said, they kind of just did it to themselves, they wanted to increase monetization but they did it in the worst way possible. CR mainly focused on monetization only, which shouldn't have been done. I'm not a developer and I get it may be stressful, but I feel like they should at least listen to what creators and the community has to say. I don't think they really care about F2P players at this point.
This is all my opinion so you can criticize it as much as you would like to, but this is how I'm seeing the state of CR currently.
the community asked for free evolutions what did cr do? give out free evolutions. the community asked to buff f2p and nerf p2w what did cr do? add the season shop and nerf pass. the community asked for making EWC easier to get what did cr do? make them easier to get via path and weekly gold offers. the cr dev team are constantly giving you free things and making the game comm. friendly however, no matter what they do people will complain because they suck at the game, are too lazy to spend 30 mins a day grinding and just hardstruck in low arenas. so the solution to them is to complain about the "horrible" state of the game.

You can get hypercharges from legendary drop for free i am a 60k player i have a mini id there i am getting so much progression
They made what should have been a simple game p2w and over complicated. Not to mention all anyone wants to use is the knight. That with the rigged matchmaking will sink it. Quit at the addition of clan wars, considered coming back, but I think I'll change my mind now.
I’m sorry to say this but Tencent ruined this. For some fucking reason both Riot Games and Supercell accepted to be bought by Tencent and now we’re in this big shithole.
Tencent now owns one of if not the biggest and the most talked about competitive and casual PC game ever (League of Legends), as well as every other Riot game which are also big af (Valorant for ex) and they also own the biggest mobile games (Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, etc.)
They milk all of these so freaking much ITS INSANE.
The only thing that did justice to Riot is that they stated they will never turn Pay2Win because it feels like it’s a disgusting take to the players, but Tencent managed to make their teams invest more time into Battle Passes for cosmetic items, into more skins, more limited icons, banners, etc so the updates are worse and the cosmetics are all over the place. FFS League of Legends has over 1500 skins.
We can see the same thing with CoC in which, btw, they added 2 passes as well, the normal one which is $7 and the event pass which is $5, the $7 giving you the normal rewards from the pass that were added all the way back in 2019 and the $5 giving you equipment ores so you can upgrade your heroes abilities cause yeah, now that’s a thing. It doesn’t matter what level your heroes are now bcs u have to upgrade their abilities as well with an in-game currency that’s INSANELY HIGH PRICED if u want to buy it with real money.
At the end of the day, in my opinion Tencent and money greed ruined all of these games…
Talked about both companies (Supercell and Riot) bcs CoC is the only game I play on mobile and League is the PC game I’ve put most of my time into.

I’m enjoying Brawlstars while I can. I know from CR that its time is probably limited. I honestly believe Tencent will destroy Brawlstars too.
As a 6k trophies f2p lvl 32. It can't be saved. There is no progression left. King tower lvl11 against lvl12, cards lvl 10-11 against 12-14, the only enjoyable thing is 2v2 because of the masteries.
Yea it's just not worth even playing anymore. Tried playing for the new drop things and got beaten by a whale instantly
The problem with evolutions is that they don't create new strategies. They just buff/nerf existing ones.
Basically, they have made enough money with Clash Royale all these years so they just stopped trying and are just trying to make the most money they can from the game until it eventually dies.
Supercell giving out Little Prince seems nice. But as someone who started playing in december, when I got to arena 11 everyone had the Little Prince. Same is gonna happen with them giving free evolutions, people who just started playing are gonna be so confused when they're in arena 6 and see evos. I wish these gifts were more consistent, personally I think you should get a free evo when you unlock them.
Ya when i got back into it i realized i had missed out on alot of essential and free items like champions and evos. I think they should just have stayed in your account so that even years later if you re installed youd have the chance
Even ignoring the game becoming much greedier, the meta nowadays usually boils down to cycling your OP cards as much as possible.
First champions bring 3 card cycle, then evolutions are added which have no downside and encourage cycling them as much as possible, and finally they let you have two evolutions in one deck. I think a MAJOR rework of Clan wars 2 is needed - nothing has been done there for the longest time and it seems quite stale- I play it often , but I'm often against other clans who only have 2 or 3 players participating, in the early days the boats were often full of members from different clans..
Yea the game's dying and it's dying fast. They only appeal to the hardcore players and not the majority. (That being casuals) No casual is gonna grind til overtime against people that are over leved plus evos.

Almost every supercell game is going through this, constant bugs in each update, and broken cosmetics that are locked behind a pay wall, even brawl stars has been quite pay to win lately, and majority of the hyper charges are quite unbalanced and broken, and like evolutions, they only nerfed them or changed them when almost everyone had them!

I was sad to see classic decks less viable as champions came out but they had really cool new decks so I ended up liking them anyway. Card evolutions feel like a different game mode and probably should've been an event. Never looked back at the game since. At the very least with level 15 I could still just play challenges until I level up.
Just comeback to play pekka bridgespam because missing so much,then my enemy has Lvl 15 card and cannoneer,The deck vanish to atom.Gladly to delete again
A problem IMHO that needs to be addressed is skill based matchmaking. Doing my clan wars every morning I a lot of times feel bad for opponents, how is a 6000 trophy player getting matched up against an 8000 trophy player with every card maxed out? It must be discouraging i would think.
i just wish that when i keep losing in trophy road my trophies will keep going down instead of being stuck at 6k trophies. i keep losing bc i suck and can't compete with other players that are more determined to keep going up. let me lose trophies so i can keep playing more casually
If they want to save the game they need to Nerf the shit out of evolutions like maybe only a 5% buff to the card and then just remove level 15 and Bam saved

I've said it before, I'll say it again and I will continue to say it again. Though clash royale has a lot of problems, some more hurting than others, but level 15 was and still is the worst thing to ever happen to Clash Royale.

I'm an F2P, i grinded 700 gems and used it all on the love sparks challenge for the banner. when i got to 6 wins, i kept getting people who were probably 1 win away from 10m wins every time, making me lose 700 gems and every game. Haven't touched it yet, might return, but after this vid probably not.

I was a level 10 free to play player at arena 11. I used to play Clash Royale when maximum arena and maximum level was 13. I used to have so much fun but when I struggled with P2W players and couldn't rank up anymore, I've quit the game.
However, a few days ago I picked up the game again from where I was left. The game made me level up to 29 from 10. I was still at arena 11 but there were dozens of new cards and new stuff that I wasn't even familar with. Since the max arena is now 23, I was ranking up with ease and I was having so much fun. In fact, I played Clash Royale 6 hours each day and reaching to a new arena with ease... Up until today. I was again ranking up normally but I got a lose streak around 5400 and dropped down to 5200. And oh boyy, it was so frustrating to just get to the new arena. I just kept winning and losing back and forth. I currently have tower level 11 but I constantly keep getting enemies with card levels 12-13 or even 14! It's just way too unfair for a player like me who still plays F2P.
I'll probably quit the game again because I really don't want to spend any money on this game especially after this point.

Clan war 2 not only killed clan wars, it killed clans since they removed the opt in/out feature. That was the beginning of the end.
Once they added lvl 14, gutted the pass, update for losers, level 15 🤦....just multiple nails in the coffin, but evos and tower troops are the final nails. Evos completely ruined the game. Every single match now is decided by card levels and or evos.
It's unbelievable how bad of a job they have done with this game. It could easily still be on top mobile lists, and here it is being dumped down the sewer lol unbelievable.
The sheer amount of offers in the item shop does it for me, just absolutely insane how much I have to scroll through to get my free thing for the day
If supercell doesn't do anything this 2024, by 2025 clash royale will be more forgotten and dead
I got back into clash Royale recently after a long time, and it isn’t the same really the game has a lot of new stuff which I like especially the path of legends, but the pass is so bad now, it’s not even as good as it used to be, and card evolutions are just so op and cannot be obtained normally without spending a lot of moneu

I play Clash Royale sience 2017 , the game has gotten worse, the last good year was 2022 . 2017 and 2021 were my best years in Clash Royale , 2023 was a super bad year for the game, 2024 is almost as bad as 2023 , 2024 may help the game but i am not that hopefull , i don't even play the game as much as i used to (i used to be adicted , almost 24/7 ) , Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars are great examples how to get value from the pass and Great examples to F2P friendly, even Clash Mini is more F2P friendly. Clash Royale is not as good and that makes me sad.

My journey in CR ended around the time when electro wizard was added. Made screen occasionally freeze also couldn't even blindly cast any cards, which then didn't do me any favors to play the game but quitting saved me from a burden of grinding to any further as at that point I was already getting behind of big whales, I believe I bought something during the time when Elite Barbarians were new card and the most powerful no doubt, and that didn't last long as they were nerfed weeks after.
Clash royale would probably have made as much money as currently if they made evolutions free and introduced some kind of card skins or idk, monetization but it doesn't hurt the game as it's just cosmetics, I think that would be fantastic. Add limited emotes for money, limited tower skins, add card skins, limited banners for money, it wouldn't hurt the game but people would still buy them if they dont cost absurd amounts of money and look decent.
I feel like everyone forgets 2016 and 2017 when legendaries cost over 40k real dollars to max
It's weird how supercell won't release a new game because it doesn't meet their standards, yet they have games that are global and don't meet the standard. Also, it makes it hard to want to play clash royale when they are doing well because you don't know whether they are just going to ruin the game again (note: I haven't played clash royale in years, but It still annoys me how supercell don't like to release games that don't meet their standards just for them to go back on their standards after it goes global)
I was a previously maxed 14 account and I played a bit when 15 came out but just came back recently. I opened about 10 tower chests which are new to me and only got princess cards. I also look at evolutions and how I will have to spend so much to get them all and it can't happen organically as there are new evos every month and you can get 2 shards from the shop it looks like. I also bought every single pass royal when there was only 1 level and it was 6 bucks here in Canada but can't justify this one as you can't even get caught up on champs/evos or tower troops in it! It's really sad because I loved this game it was my go to thing if I had 5 minutes to kill. I requested my account be deleted this morning actually because I just can't see them changing and it's not worth my effort or care. gl to you all I hope they turn it around for those who remain.
Clash Royale now: one step forward, five steps back
I was playing from day 0. In Italy I had to change the country of my iPad because it was only available in Canada , initially. Today, at level 57, after reaching 9000 cups, reaching legendary league with 1500 flakes, winning Classic challenge and almost grand challenge (11/12), I asked for deletion of my game account. It is simply impossible to play without spending money every month. It is a disgrace for supercell, and the game will go towards ruin.I am very sorry, I am 29 years old and I will not go back on my decision. My advice, is to abandon the game that the same development team I decided to destroy.

I think the biggest problem in royale is that you can virtually only play one deck, because leveling just 2 decks is too expensive for many people especially f2p. I want to be able to play 4 or 5 decks and be able to change the deck when a new meta gets released, but that's just impossible. So when my archetype gets nerfed and another level got added I just quit.

I dont even play CR but came across this video randomly, I am a BS player and I am just sad about all these P2W features that the game has decided put in, this is not good for the game in the long run. Like why is the diamond pass $12 when it barely provides extra value from the gold pass( for the money you are paying...). I dont think that CR can survive 2024 if this keeps happening, players are going to eventually start quitting and the devs are going to realize and regret the past.
the game is in a fine state?? spending money on the game does make great progress but a f2p player can still have fun and make amazing progress without spending a dime

Ironically enough, word has been going around that Clash Royale is actually performing a lot worse in monetization income than other supercell games, since 2023 and now ongoing 2024.
So now it’s just opposite opposite, and not good all around. Clash Royale enforces greedy monetization techniques, that aren’t even effective, while also continuously losing the community’s respect.
I feel like the devs are in a panic state, and are just hiding behind their community managers such as Drew, to put on an act that Clash Royale is flourishing and adding all these new features and content that “help” and “engage” the community.
i like most people i ask about which supercell game being the best, the only people ( and ther is alot of them ) say clash royale is the best when brawl stars is literally crushing their game

The reason I stopped playing this game is honestly because of evolutions. I just hate how OP they are and having some cards be just better than others kinda defeats the whole point of it as it’s more about getting down good cards as soon as possible instead of actually planning your gameplay
As someone who played CR from 2016 to 2021 regularly, coming back to the game now feels just so overwhelming, looking at the card evolutions and how difficult it is to get them. I’d rather just play brawl stars.
they can rebrand like brawlstars. removing boxes . giving the shop actual value . making it free to play again .
And the new Dagger Duchess is legendary and completely busted against most decks

I'm saying no. If you are willing to pay money then you can compete. But I have spent like 5 years maxing out a deck. It's not a case where I can't play merely because my deck is out of the meta but rather, it's not even remotely competitive. A new player can play for a week or so, invest money and have 2 evolutions, a few champions and beat my deck. It's not even competitive. It's always been about ways to make money, I get that I'm not stupid, but now it's ridiculous. You can ONLY be competitive if you invest money -- otherwise, it's not even fun.
Way back at release so used to play like 15 games in a row. Now I’m lucky if I even open the app.
My suggestions:
1. Give more access to evo shards. It makes sense that mastery in cards with evo can have evo cards of that card.
2. Carry out season tokens
3. Allow donations of elite wild cards
Got back into the game a few months ago I still have fun. But my war decks are all level 13 with a few 14s. And nearly every match I go against level 15 players with maxed decks, it's so annoying because most of the time I know I could have won or at the least made it close if we were equal level. Now I just get the floor mopped with me.
I don't play clash royale since 2022, I feel that a lot of essence from years ago has been lost. imo
the evo thing has been blown WAY too far out of proportion by the community. we get 2 shards a season and 3 shards of a random evolution. that’s 5 a season which is 10 a year for free and all you gotta do is play to get your daily seasonal shop tokens and do OKAY in the tournaments that offer the tokens. and also we still have 4 months of the year left and we’ve already been given 2 free evolutions of our choice. we had the one for valentine’s day and we have one currently be given out as well. and keep in mind supercell ALWAYS does things for christmas. really cheap and good deals and free stuff all around which likely means we’re getting a free evo if not more than one. that means we’re almost DEFINITELY ending the year off with AT LEAST 13 free evolutions. that’s more than 1 free evo a season on average. what more do you want for free??? yes the ones we don’t get are outrageously over priced but we get the MAJORITY for free and in reality if you’re free to play then you likely get more free evolutions then you’ll ever have the time to use. you won’t have the time to build a deck with most evolutions that can work at all. likely you’re gonna be on to 3 decks at MOST a year which means 6 evolutions which is less than half of what we’re getting for free. i’m not here to defend supercell but let’s not lie and be disingenuous to make them look worse than they are because we all know they do not need help to look like idiots who just want a few dollars and will do anything for it.
