@@OwOIord well you don't really build decks with the intention of your pekka being the card which determines the game, it's more there to make up for single target which the rest of the deck lacks

Need to be in a fast paced deck ( bait or out cycle counters )
support: small spell to counter ( goblin gang, princess, rascals, dart goblin, ske barrel)
Very prepared to play against __> pair with a second condition rocket or royale giant
Need to play tricky barrel
Gob drill
Fast pace, many are prepared
Cycle or bridge spam
Cycle cards, bait cards, pressure cards
Can be use as defense

Have natural support
Synergy with small and big spells

Death damage is significant
A wide range of beatdown some focus on defense others go for tower trade tower trade ( aggressive )
Baby drag, night witch, tornado lighting. can even go clone
Expensive so make sure to have some sort of eli advantage

Versitile
ALmost guaranteed damage
Can see in any archetype
Deck : cheap mini tank to go with gy at the bridge
splash control: build up positive trades at defense to go with gy counterpush
Expensive have a major tank: Giant, mega knight → big issue
Make sure they have to spend elixir on counter the tank and gy
Careful not to allow king activation
Hog rider
One of the fastest win con
Immediate pressure require immediate, specific response
Usually cycle deck, try to take tower down swing by wings
There are some expensive hog variants
Need to be pack with ways to counter hog counters
buildings : spells: fireable, earthquake, lighting
swarm: valk, log, snowball
almost always play on outer edge
rarely send naked hog when opp have tornado
Lava hound
Difficult deck to stop, difficult to build a deck
2 phases: tank phase : build up support sec phase: 6 lava pops
Need a lot of air support baby drag, minions, balloon
ground min tank, miner valk
Need to have ground answers: tombstone, barbs
Always be aggressively place, can place at bridge if have surviving units
Miner
Weaker win con on his own
Usually have second win condition
2 type of miner deck: chip style: send in miner over and over/ tank style: support a tank push
Carry at least 2 spells
Can be good to deal with annoying cards ( princess, musk)
Mortar:
Unique mechanic
Offensive: have a blind range : can play offense with defense
Can use it on defense
Cheap, adopt a chip style play
Pair with a 2nd win con: miner , gy, royale hog
need a tank and some sort of range defense, usually place far away to avoid spell value
Dual win con : versiatale: you can use one win con more than other depends on match up
Royale Giant
10 shots a tower
5 tiles away shoot
Good win con
Need to pack multiple counters to allow giant connection
Swarms: small spell : dark prince, mother witch
Buildings: spell: fireball, lightning
Fisherman pull heavy hitting units away
2 offensive way: play rg at bridge if enemy place many eli at the back or have surviving units
Can build at the back to build bigger push or to cycle second rg in double or triple eli
Royale hog:
unique: can attack in single or double lane pushes
Guarantee to get some sort of damage
Not very tanky → most deck are build in fireball bait
weak to large amount of splash
Ram rider
High pressure, fast paced card
Mostly seen in bridge spam deck
Goal: Apply quick, constant pressure
Common support cards: Other bridge spam cards: bandit prince ghost cannot cart
Spells such as fireball, poison are crucial for ram rider to connect
You rarely send ram rider alone.
Ram rider has a snare ability
Essential on defense, then transition to offense → unique
Skeleton barrel
A bait win con annoying because of dual stage
Needs to be in a fast deck
Need a secondary win condition to breakthrough
If building a classic log bait deck: any bait card. Can be wild : golem clone
Cycle many skele barrel as possible ( hard to deal, death damage)
3M
Dual lane win con. Decks build around 3m will have the same focus
3m are very expensive, almost always need pump
pump or 3m take big spell
additional support card: bridge spam cards
IF there is a push in one lane. Can play defense in one lane, offense in another
Wall breakers
Cheapest win con
Provide fastest gameplays
Always need a 2nd win con
Can be in cycle decks( support: bomber, tesla, gob drill, valk), a few medium cost deck ( miner + mk)
Most of these decks will be chip style deck, getting wb connection here and there
Play a offensive wall breakers in defense to cycle and disrupt opponent plan
Xbow
Complex, more and more difficult to succeed
Expensive: cheaper support: knight, archers, skeletons, ice wiz
Goal: outcycle xbow counter
There are some expensive x bow variant
Generally, x bow is better in single elixir, especially against beatdown
Cycle or bait down xbow counter
X bow is also a defensive building, can give a lot of defensive value while cycle to another x bow on offense
Personally, I would reccomend beginners to play hog rider, royal giant, ram rider, egiant, because they are powerful, are not weak in most metas, and cannot be left ignored, put a high pressure on opponent. After a while when your skill has improved, try to play miner, giant, goblin barrel, graveyard and maybe even golem. Cycle fast pace deck will teach you how to apply pressure and spending and getting value out of your elixer, while more controlled slow type of decks will teach you to be patient and to realise when to attack and when to defend or when to play to contest for an advantage ( map control, elixer lead, damage lead, 1x 2x 3x elixer advatange). Going up you should try miner, wall breaker, mortar, xbow, giant because if you are good enough those are some of the best and most competitive decks CR has to offer.
I like the NW change for beatdown. I always found the death spawn necessitating a second spell or poison, but now I see that fireball log can make a comeback
You forgot to mention ice golem as a win condition, I like playing ice golem cycle or ice golem beat down 😂

Not gonna lie this is pretty useful for people who are starting to take CR a little more seriously and trying to improve their skills. Back when I tried to win CCs and GCs, I was overwhelmed by all the different archetypes that there were and it was hard to figure out which one I should use.
i recommend new players to watch people play it,ive watched OJ play clash royal for a few videos,and i kinda understand who counters who,and i won 98% of the time on my first time playing
Its great until you realize that you only have 2 of the cards in the deck you’re interested in.

Legendaray: I'm not going to count elite barbarians as a win condition.
My opponent: e barbs rage at the bridge first play when I have no counters in my starting hand...
That why you use gobsparky decks they have all the e barbs counters, goblin giant, sparky, mega minion, hunter, fisherman, etc.

But beating e barbs players is good ig.

Hey Legendaray not sure if you noticed this in your video but the miner spell cycle deck you put twice at 13:30 and 14:30 instead of putting the royal hogs mortar deck at 14:30 keep up the great videos always enjoy your videos hope you see this!

A really well made video for giving a slight introduction to each archetype. This would definitely be helpful for new players that want to play Clash Royale more seriously. Great job Ray!
I chose to watch the entire video, despite never playing Clash Royale before. That's how high the quality is, I couldn't imagine how useful this would be for a new player.
The only issue I have is that on the Mortar section, instead of showcasing the deck at the end, you provided the visuals for the Miner Spell Cycle deck instead.
More deck building, more carefully scanning the meta, takes me back to the days when MTG was the main card game in my friend group.

wow this video is amazing... first-time viewer, of the channel, I've seen you on cwa tho. usually youtubers are either pros who create lack luster gameplay videos (sorry lemon tree 😅) or ppl who aren't necessarily good at the game (sorry OJ 😳) but add value with their video editing. you're the first creator I've seen who's a real CR pro with superior video editing.

The tornado at 20:51 was beautiful. Prevented giant from crossing bridge while graveyard was casted and pulled night witch and giant out of range of xbow.

I know I’m late but I just wanna say that Legendaray helps me out a lot with Clash Royale. Heck, without him, I would probably rage quit a while back, so thanks Legendaray!
This video really helps us useful, especially with graveyard since I once used them and they never hit the tower
my fav deck is a really fast cycle log bait with goblin barrel and skelly barrel that my friend made its actually pretty solid because its really strong on defense and you can just win with chip damage while they are pushing
A lot of effort must have been put into making this video, very well made.

Because the such expensive meta my 3 musk deck feels more viable than ever it's a 4.4 royal hogs, musk spilt push deck. I'm currently sitting low-mid 6k.
The deck is 3 m, hogs, gob gang, bats, skele drag, eq, barbs, dark prince. I recently swapped out the prince for the golden knight and skele drags for electro wiz was experimented with quite a bit with success.

I'm going random with my head, for some reason I have a really funky (and probably ineffective) deck idea with elite barb, hog rider, battle ram, clone, rage, mirror, tornado/log and goblin barrel. As you may noticem I have not touched this game since legendaries were a thing, so I'm just imagining random stuff lol

crazy that, upon launch, there was really only like 8 win cons. the game has really expanded
If found that when I used to play, spawner decks were great to keep pressure on your opponent. Keeping pressure makes sure you can win more easily, because if your opponent is constantly under pressure, they are more likely to make mistakes or stop paying attention to the actual push or the chip chipping. One goblin is no need for even a counter, since the damage is neglegable, but if the goblin keeps coming back, it adds up fast.
My own deck is actually a hog rider deck, it also keeps up pressure, but not by spawning, instead by defending and distracting troops and being fast in play. It can also mix and match or even enhance certain pushes or counters. It consists of
Hog rider
Minions
Cannon
Princess
Fire spirit (I made it when it was still 3)
Valkyrie
Mini P.E.K.K.A
Zap
How are three musketeers and mineer win conditions?
Because Miner can be placed anywhere in the map just like Goblin Barrel and Goblin Drill.
As for 3M, don't know.

for the hog rider deck the mini pekka can easily be countered with skeleton army or another pekka and a small elixir cost card
Where is elixir pump?
I understand that this is an older video but Giant skeleton is most certainly a win condition. Once it gets to level 12 it deals over 1000 damage to a tower. Even getting the skeleton within bomb radius is guaranteed 1000 damage at that level.

my biggest tip for a skeleton barrel deck...
Put clone and mirror with ice golem +1 swarmy, then just put cycle cards like skeletons and ice spirit and you can annoy the heck out of your oppoenets

I know a fireball counters it or lightning or wizard or giant skeleton but if u bait those out and then split or just go with it it's good

when i heard double prince it made me think back to when the dark prince came out and it was a meta when i was like 10 good times
I've been playing Lavaloon for 4 years now, and found some success with a non-meta version; Lava and loon (obviously), arrows and fireball as your spells (because sod dealing with firecrackers), then skeleton dragons. Then, in a twist, all ground from here; skeleton guards, dart goblin and tombstone as your building. Most of your success will come from the sheer value you can get in defence from dart goblin behind something to tank. And don't first play your hound, that's how you lose real quick to a heavy ground card. Set up tombstone or guards for an opponent's push ( tombstone when used well can counter most of a mega knight, and a dart gobbo behind will finish it completely. If they spell it out, guards will finish the job and leave you on positive elixir with a small push, just an example) and only use lava when you know you're up enough on elixir that your opponent won't be able to support a push. Naked balloon can provide a surprising amount of pressure, and if you need to fix your cycle it's a much less punishable option than a lava hound.

I play ram rider but don't use any of the stuff you suggest. I combo it with magic Archer to kill swarms and use the snare to keep enemy troops lined up longer

Tip to some people who wanna use graveyard: I usually go with graveyard freeze it's op and if unchecked can get you a tower taken if the opponent has log or barrel or valkyrie you get the point wait for them to get it out if their cycle the 8 cards I suggest for this deck is graveyard, freeze, witch, bats (to counter valkyrie), Inferno Tower (for big tanks such as pekka, mega knight, and some more tanks and lesser cards), skarmy (if they do counter your graveyard also if they get rid of your inferno tower helps with pekka royal giant and many more), mini pekka for tanking it's a cheap tank you place the pekka first and graveyard second, and lastly barb. Barrel to kill opponents skarmy goblins and other stuff against your mini pekka it's unlikely they will only have a bunch of counters to skeletons and stuff 😂 so you should win a lot of matches with this deck

For elixer golem and goblin drill I have my own deck I’ve had for a long while that’s gotten me to 6000 trophies.
Elixer golem, witch, lj, mini pekka, baby dragon, freeze, log, gob drill.
And a new version
Elixer golem, witch, lj, mini pekka, baby dragon, zap, log, archer queen.
Basically start is mini pekka dragon archer queen and gob drill + spells for defense then put with lj behind elixer golem (can also put archer queen behind) and let lj run by elixer golem to do dmg and drop rage then witch carries

I actually use a madman deck for graveyard I use Giant , Grave , MIRROR , fb , log ice w , skarmy and witch. The Grave mirror combo does damn lot of damage if they dont have poison even without a tank
