Lovely to see you've started a channel devoted to your knitting!
Thank you for watching! 😊
I’m a knitter and crocheter and have been following you since 2015. Because I don’t sew, I’m SO glad you have a separate channel for yarny crafts. Looking forward to your first episode!
oh wow, thank you so much! i'm glad you're here.
Thank you for the introduction video. Your husband’s cabled sweater is gorgeous, I hope he gets to wear it at some point! I am very excited to see anything else you knit!
thanks for watching! actually shortly after I posted this video he remembered that he had this sweater in his closet and he's been wearing it pretty frequently.
I'm so glad you started a knitting channel! I watched your podcast years ago when you showed off your knits and yarny crafts before, and I can't wait to see what you're making again.
that was so long ago! i am very grateful that you're here.
Your husband’s sweater is beautiful. I also really like the one you’re wearing. I hope one day to be able to knit something other than a small square! I’m excited about this new channel. I wish you lots of success with it.
i'm sure you will be able to. it just takes practice! thank you so much for watching.
I have to chuckle at how you started. I moved to Minnesota in the late 1970s and desperately needed a job. I crocheted, sewed, macrame, wove - any 70s craft you can think of. I applied for a job as a knitting instructor at a local department store (many had yarn departments at that time). I was hired on a Friday and had just one problem. I didn't know how to knit 🤣
This was pre internet so I went to a library, checked out a book and taught myself to knit over the weekend. I have been knitting since, although when a customer asked me a couple of weeks in for help with turning a heel on socks it almost killed me 😱
wow, a dept store having a yarn section. those must have been the days. 😃
great video! I love knitting channels, though I crochet and am not a very good knitter. Love your hub's sweater.... can't wait to see future makes!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I follow your sewing channel❤. I too like to knit, but I’m more like an advanced beginner. I can’t wait to see what you do on this channel!
thank you so much for joining me! i truly appreciate it.
Congratulations on your new channel. I watch all your sewing on your other channel. I love to knit too, but I make so many mistakes and it’s so hard to fix them that I tend to lean toward crochet. Although there’s nothing like knitting! I also have a spinning wheel and drum carder. I recently bought 4 fleeces that I’m working on right now. It’s all so much fun!
wow 4 fleeces sounds like a lot! i still have one in storage that i've had for years now that i haven't processed yet. i hope you enjoy carding 😝
Ha, I knit a pair of socks for my nephew, who is 6'4" with size 13 feet, and he has never worn them because he's afraid of washing wool and also my wrath. 🙄 Your husband's sweater is beautiful!
oh man, if i knit socks that size i'd threaten the person if they *didn't* wear them. 😆
