These videos may seem simple to the seasoned mechanic but I have often found that its the technique that helps me to connect the dots mentally as I am working through a n issue. So no matter how simple tasks seem it is always nice to see that someone takes the time to post a video on it. Great job keep up the good work.
This was helpful. Thanks. I have owned a 1999, 7.3 Super Duty Powerstroke, F250, Crew Cab, 4x4, with 288,000 miles on it, now, for about 8 months. I would recognize the sound of one of these engines running from a mile off, and you can hear it from about that far. Kind of loud, but very long lasting. I kind of like the sound. It gives me a good, secure feeling, on the road.
Dude, you/your videos have been there for me so many times, whether it's been with my 302 in my Bronco or now with my new 7.3L. You're freaking awesome, man!
Thank you for the content. This was my first time ever running out of fuel thanks to a faulty fuel gage. This video should help me get my rig back on the road.
Great video and explains the fuel air knock like mine when I recently did fuel line repair and fuel filter. Gonna let it run at idle a while should clear right on out.
Thanks a lot! Accidentally switched to my rear tank but it's sitting in the barn at home so it just sucked air into the system and I couldn't get it to start!
Man ! My truck sounds exactly like this !!!! Sat for a year and did a new irate diesel e fuel system. It stalls out. I only tried 3 times because I didn’t want to damage the motor. Should I keep trying ???
Idk thats up to you, but it will stall out long as they air in the system, if you still have stalling issue check your tank for water, also it could be a sensor
HELP NEEDED: When I parked my 1997 7.3 last it was really low on fuel. I came back out to start it a couple weeks later and it started right up and then after about 15 seconds it immediately died. I have ran it low on fuel before and the difference back then was that it would gradually shake and die during those times. I have primed the fuel bowl and added 4 gallons to the front tank and 2 gallons to the rear tank, still no start. The ONE THING I have never noticed is that fuel gage is stuck on 3/4, and it was never stuck before. Any ideas????
Hi. Just reading comments. Did you ever get it restarted? My first thought is it seems like you sucked air and it lost its prime. So must bleed out the air. But, you said you filled fuel bowl, so maybe there was air in the fuel line somewhere. I've also used starter fluid, but must be careful, as can damage engine. Let me know your solution and reply. Thanks. JR
Hey body I’m in the middle of the road with my diesel truck 1997 f450 super duty my son forgot to put fuel ⛽️ on it and the diesel got done it the tank got empty so I put diesel already but it doesn’t start it on
I hope I fix mine tomorrow it turn off on me while driving i had low fuel and i got to the gas station but die on me after i fuel and haven’t started since
All right hey bud yeah dude your your videos are super helpful man I really appreciate what you do and so there's a there's a wire that hooks up to the left side of your fuel canister okay now there's a there's a a wire that has a boot that kind of comes out of that where does that wire go man I accidentally unplugged it somehow when I slipped on my motor getting doing working on something else and it came out and I can for the life of me I cannot figure out where it goes I've looked everywhere I've looked on RUclips I've looked at wire schematics like everything and I cannot knowing it just shows the area it doesn't say what it hooks up to though
My truck died while driving changed the fuel pump is started finally and it ran like shit I turned it off idk why and it won’t start and it’s not pumping fuel in my fuel bowl you think I need to bleed it like you ? Did your pump fuel or you had to fill your fuel bowl manually ?
Only thing behind the fuel pump is a pickup line going in to the tank so unless it’s got a pinhole in the line (sucking air) it probably just has air in the lines from changing the pump so it probably just needs to be bled
the battery and starter is what turns over the engine when you twist the key switch, so yea if its working good long as it got power it should turn over
@@TattsForLife Pretty sure I burnt up the starter after almost ether locking it, was just attempting to bleed the fuel lines after the truck had sat for about a month. Changed the battery cables, got 1 new battery, and the starter and now it's a money pit lol
nope done more upgrades in the future of the c30, shes just been in use ATM, once both rollbacks are back up, I can afford to have one down time for mods
love this guy's voice I'd listen to him explain anything:)
Thanks!
This niggas voice is weird asf ur tripping

Thanks for watching
Hey great job dude! I'd of never figured that out. Looks like a big NoNo to let these monsters run outta diesel in the first place. Thank you much.
Thanks for the video and tips on air bleeding been trying all day to bleed my 7.3 ran out of fuel. Ty
@KenWayneJohnson just try keep the bowl full and it should bleed the air, if u keep getting air then u have a bad line somewhere
Can't get any easier, thanks for the video.
Glad to help
Great. Now lets see if I can get this truck started. It's been sitting for 3 years
Good luck

Good job buddy.
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks like a camshaft position sensor. The tach doesn't even budge when you were attempting to start it
you would be right, the truck has been taking spells where it starts to run bad and smooths out from time to time

Just bypass the lift pump, & instal a cheap fuel pump under the truck it’ll save your butt. Ur starter sounds terrible.
yah, it was mostly the battery's lol they not been the best lol
I love your accent!
Thanks

Ive got a 94 7.3 idi turbo and should the truck be able to turn over even though the fuel filter on top of the engine is empty?

You got that right!
It worked thx
Happy the video was helpful, more 7.3 videos coming soon
I'd like a vexik on a 7.3 before the turbo was added. Not a powèŕ stroke
Hell ya thanks
Happy to have helped
7.3L!!! God how i envy the United States. That displacement would be a fortune in taxes in my country.
older they get here cheaper the taxs are
we are killed in taxes on everything else though..
