So, what we learned today is that a Golf R in the wet on Cup2 tyres doesn't go any faster, no matter how much power you throw at it. Ash could have had a lie in. Lol

I have a golf gti mk8 and considering this race chip mods, l have THE new inlet pipe by racing Line and the r600 intake sistem, you thing at THE end is a good project or not?

A rated wet grip tyres and a remap should suffice then!
I think even then they would struggle! Ideally we'd need to test again in more dry conditions to give a fair test
Would one of the videos be racinglines own piggyback ecu? Be interested to see what you think to that over the race chip.
I don't believe it's part of the shipment they sent us, we'll reach out to 'em and see if they can send it down to test.
Hello, I have at home a cupra ateca 2021 gen 4 300cv and a cupra formentor vz 310cv, would the same racechip be used for both engines?
It is similar, would you like to order one?
Did I hear right that it was fastest in ECO mode on a stock setup?
It was fastest in comfort/eco mode without the RaceChip on, likely due to the increased output meant more wheel-slip, so a lower output was preferable for these specific conditions.
If there was more grip available, no doubt more output = better times.

Is it reasonable to assume this would work for the US spec '22 Arteon?
Not sure on that one, we only really focus on UK/EU spec cars. Best to ask RaceChip
What do these modifications do to a cars manufacturers warranty?
You'd have to ask the warranty provider that question as we don't provide it
warranty is invalid plus insurance unless you declare you have modified your car, and of course pay a few hundred pound extra for insurance for the year
Don't they have APR in the UK?
Yes! But sadly nobody in the world has unlocked these ECUs for tuning as of yet
Shite these boxes, tried one on my 7.5R when I first got it, made about 12 bhp on the dyno, tested in all modes. Waste of money
haha! It seems to work fairly well to be fair, on the road though perhaps not so much in the upper maps and in the wet traction is a limitation rather than output for speed

That lag you feel could be torque limiter and not clutch slip.

Speed limit on UK roads is ≈ 20mph - 70mph

haha! We have actually just found a test site which would allow us to do this type of testing without the risk of losing our license or putting the general public at risk
