- US Army Special Operations Combat Veterans Chris Kovacik, John Ellison and Zach Harrison, of Northern Red, discuss their motivations for training in both their roles as Special Operations Soldiers and as instructors of active duty military and counter terrorism professionals.
Northern Red is a Private Military Firm specializing in training elite military and law enforcement units for counter terrorism, hostage rescue and close quarter battle missions. The Instructor Staff consists entirely of US Army Special Operations combat veterans with multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Directed and produced by Jon Chang, American Gunfighter is an ongoing series produced by BCM featuring elite law enforcement and military personnel sharing their thoughts and stories about their profession and craft.
Damn...that is powerful...I train to fight my evil twin...He has the same skills as I do and I know what I am capable of. Thats a scary thought.
mixflip your evil twin would be the easy guy so owsome.
No matter how many times I watch this (and it’s pretty often)it still gives me chills when he says “hope is the last thing a man does before he dies”
Pretty deep convo there
"Hope is the last thing that a man does before he dies" now that is fckn chilling down the spine. do not fight hoping you'll win, fight knowing you'll win. shoutout to John, awesome dude and instructor!
That's what I was thinking! He said that and I got goosebumps at how powerful and humbling that idea was!
That one stopped me in my tracks. I was like holy shit that’s powerful
It's great to see trainers that don't look like they'd have a heart attack if they had to run 100 yards. These guys are the real deal. It's good to see some young Pat Macnamaras : )
I think pat mac could skill give these guys a run for their money.
Not to disrespect anything Pat Mac has done for this nation but there was a difference in training and tactics after 9-11. Even at the highest level of our SF units Before 9-11 very few guys had the combat experience these warrior have. Before 9-11 a lot of tactics were thory based, after 9-11 we found out what really worked in modern combat. Having trained with these professionals, Im proud of the caliber of warriors our military is producing. That being said,Pat is a savage and I can’t wait to train with him
@@angelvazquez2112 pat McNamara got out of the until post 9/11 so your point makes no sense. He was there before and after the training got more focused and centered
@@richardryan6186 Same team homie.
This is the best training mindset explanation I’ve ever seen. I’m going to use that philosophy from now on when teaching our rookies.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. KNOW THE REAL FIGHT
Who knew Jon Snow was a gunfighter too.
Whoa....how am I just now seeing this and it's 7 years old??
Dammit why wasn't this one longer.
0:25 holy shit, is that the pre mark up of the canted sights
"Faith has taken me places that Hope trembled with fear" Michael Lykens.
This video was intense as hell.
That was hard af. This reminds me of combat sports. You gotta train to fight the best version of your opponent, not the weakest. Oss
this is fun thou this type of Trainning i would never mind.
This gave me goosebumps...it was supposed to rite? Lol GREAT stuff,so encouraging 🇺🇸
most excellent. so glad y'all are on my side. Pax Christi'
MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE!!!!!!!
And this video is a little peek into why we have the best of the best
“Hope is the last thing a man does before he dies.”
I hope that each of you know Jesus as Lord and Savior. He is the only One that can save souls.
So, what EXACTLY is Northern Red?
Btw, i love the American Gunfighter videos, keep em coming!
Take a look at the description.
Well now i feel stupid lol.
God bless America. You guys are the most bad ass individuals I've ever seen.
Anyone else noticing a big switch to the low variable optics?!!! Vortex HD 1-6 on a few of the sticks. Cool to see the changes in tactics.
They are all rocking those Vortexs with the offset Aimpoint. Cool if you have 3k to spend on glass.
At 1:24 I noticed a couple EOTECH's. Possibly the XPS ?
all shots near and far have to hit your intended target. take every shot like there's a busload of lawyers children in the area.
I noticed, most tier 1 guys don't use tactical grips at all and they don't use super short "cool looking" rifles.
"They" use the right tool for the right situatiuon... miss those days
This is what I like to see. Train hard and never quit
Well said. Love it
Hope, is not a method. Wish, is not a technic.
You guys are an inspiration, keep it up, makes me train harder!
Powerful video. Stay strong on purpose.
hope is the first step on the road to disappointment
Epic. That eye. On the simplest level: if every American had their constitution and ethic for the good of family, work and country. Unstoppable we’d be 🇺🇸
Hard ass pterodactyls.
american gun owners really need to up our training game. i guess tons of folks are hoping the criminal isn't as good as them.
I wish training was a little bit easier to facilitate, on a lower end as well as higher end that Northern Red might be expecting.
Truth !
turdferguson9725 close with and kill. Take the distance away from the bad guy and finish the fight. Moving targets are harder to hit than static targets.
This mirrors what we were trained for in SF.I believe these guys are former SF soldiers because these sentiments are exactly what we learned in training.A good friend of mine started doing this I’m told and then I found out he started this company-Tom Spooner.
Hope is the last thing a man does before he dies. 😳 wow that’s deep.
Hope is the last thing a man does before he dies wow. Great video I was just an 11b grunt in the army and thought I was a bad ass until I met some of the SOF guys overseas . I learned a lot from those guys I’m so grateful I had that opportunity . Thanks guys for keeping America safe
When I walked into the room Chuck Norris pissed his. pants.
What's up with at 1:25, looks like one in the chamber at 25 shoot to bolt lock run to 0 while reloading? Anyone familiar with this drill?

“The man in the glass”
This is good news. The last two videos have came out pretty close to eachother, hopefully the next one will too.
Powerful dialogue 🗽🤯💥🇺🇸👍🏽
Any idea what brand/model of 45• offset mounts for their T1's these guys are running?
Larue.
Outstanding!!!
Subscribed .....
Get some
Where is the next one?? Waiting anxiously
Hell yeah I wanna train with them!
Nah, thats too much.
Quick question. When you show these guys at the beginning of these videos in training exercises, are they using airsoft?
LuwigChannel neg. man marker rds. drop in a a bolt group that only functions with Sims and it allows you to use your weapons, your gear. like a mix between a paint ball and a bullet. and really motivates you not to get hit. treat everything real. and during training with them there is a 100% chance of someone getting hit in the junk.
friend of mine caught one in the balls as opfor for Recon. lol
BCM is the bizzz
Are these guys Delta?
why would you ask that? they are former soldiers working for Northern Red that is located in Danville VA
@@reaperbravo32 just saw the short video, had no idea
Hmmm I thought most of them were Special Forces CIF guys?
You mean "somebody who will fight back"? lol A man, not a boy. Right?
dang.....love it
Good bidness
Thank You!
Semper Victorios!
I dont think that you are training hard. You are providing insurance to your family that you are going to come home.
It is like sports they are training all the time.
