      All of the guitar parts on this song (and all of their earlier recordings) are played by Kanami, as Miku was not yet proficient enough to be recorded.

    This particular song popped up on my youtube feed in 2017. I watched 'Real Existence' after that and thought 'Hey, a band to keep my eyes on'. Then in 2018 They dropped 'Dice'. And I.Was.Hooked. Band-Maid is the best thing ever since sliced bread! And the invention of fire. 😎🤘

    Seeing the Maids live and up close in a small, intimate club is a "Thrill" of a lifetime. One should consider themselves lucky to experience them like this because it's becoming rare. And as for sound... it'll be the best hard rockin' sound you can imagine -- clear, discreet, powerful and full of energy and joyful vibes! (And no compression!! ;-) Just ask anyone who's experienced them live. In fact, we've been getting an earful of "wow's" and "that was incredible" from all the reactors and commenters from their successful 2022 & 2023 Band-Maid USA Tours. Rock on, Jason!

    If you look closely you will see that Miku Kobato (Small Pigeon) rhythm guitar, vocals, band founder isn't actually playing the guitar. She was only a vocalist at this point but was asked to hold a guitar for the video. She chose that Rickenbacker because it fit their black and white theme and looked cool. Kanami Tono (Mincho) lead guitar later taught Miku how to play guitar and asked her to get a guitar that would better produce the sound of their songs. Miku eventually settled on Zemaitis guitars and even has her own signature model called Flappy Pigeon. Her rhythm guitar playing has become an essential part of the Band-Maid live sound. I believe that Kanami still plays all of the guitar parts on studio recordings according to what she has stated during some interviews.

      Thanks for the great information! That makes sense that Miku would record all of the guitars. When recording in the studio, it is generally recommended to have one person record all parts to keep the sound consistent on the track. It's not always that way but I have heard it before

      It is Kanami who plays all of the guitar parts in the studio, not Miku. Kanami recently commented how proud she is of the guitar skills that Miku has learned from her teachings. I am hoping that Miku will start playing some lead harmonies by doubling Kanami at some point.

    the 1st & still one of my fave Band Maid songs! dbl ♥
    MISA can play the bass with her fingers, pick, or even both in the same song. 🎸
    Heck she could probably play with her toes for that matter! 😃

    As @fernandoloya6325 said, this really did save the band, as they didn't know that management had decided that if this one didn't hit, they would break up the band. Band-Maid insisted that they do this song for the video over one that management wanted them to do, and the rest is ongoing history. I highly suggest that you do "Alone" next, as that is the first self-written song that they were allowed to record ("Thrill" was not written by them).

    This song comes from the era where they recorded songs written by external song writers. The band didn't mind this as they considered this as an opportunity to learn their craft. Despite this, Miku rewrote her vocal part. In the original, her verse was simply a repetition of Saiki's opening verse. This is why there is a reference to a pigeon in her part.

    • @JasonsSongStop
      @JasonsSongStop  Месяц назад +1

      That makes sense! Learning to play through other writers is the best way to learn! Now Band Maid can write what they want! 😁🤟🐦
