the ' press the start button, press the start button a second time, flip to tablet mode and press the start button WORKED! after having tried Fn buttons to the nth degree, windows button plus whatever... contral buttons, etc etc. ugh! what got me to this 'black screen' business in the first place, was after having installed a Lenovo Vantage 'upgrage' uggh! thank you thank you Oxonesyl for posting this!!!

I'm kind of super shocked. The first worked for me. I've never had my laptop behave like this before, but I think it's because I pressed the power button while the laptop was in tablet mode, which I never usually do. Thankfully it booted up with the first method. I'll probably always shut it down manually.

Finally I was getting around to replacing the screen I purchased and could not locate another YT tutorial. I came across your video and gave your steps a try. The 1st one worked for me. I'm going to hang on to the screen just in case it acts up again and your steps stop working.
I'm grateful because I was not in the mood to try to change the screen.

Hey, thanks man first method work for me. But I had to do something different. I basically removed battery, and unplug the charger. Then pressed turn on for 30 seconds, after that when I plug the charger and, pressed turn on button again, it worked. Idk why but it worked this way

Please apply holding start button for 30 seconds. If doesn't work, there a possibility your graphics card is not working anymore. Again, I'm not sure. It might be.
