Thank you for taking the time to create this video. I recently did a full avionics upgrade, including the electrical system and that process was time-consuming and sometimes frustrating, as I discovered those things I didn’t realize I didn’t know. I would have had no patience or brain power remaining to even think about camera placement and narration. Seriously- thank you.
No nonsense video again, thanks Stu. Saved to my Stu’s Aircraft file to review when I get to the wiring stages. Hopefully you’ve settled into your new home and all went well. I’ve missed your posts and look forward to the next one.
Thanks Stu! I'm also at the electronics stage on my project and your videos are very helpful! I also have P-MAGS, can you please share the full part number of the toggle switches you used for your ignition? Thank you!
You can use 1-3 switches everywhere to power a single circuit like boost pump, lights, etc. For pmags you connect to 2 top terminals however as explained in video. Thanks for asking www.steinair.com/product/toggle-switch-spdt-onon/
These are generic switches that have 3 positions. Centre position powers first circuit and up powers both circuits. Here is link to B&C specialty which is where I order most my switches. Select -10 option under configuration bandc.com/product/toggle-switch-double-pole/ Or SteinAir www.steinair.com/product/toggle-switch-3-position-dpdt/
I’m not sure exactly what your referring to as stractured cabling. The RV4 has a G3X system which uses a canbus system different from the RV8. There is some mention about termination blocks but I generally leave the avionics wiring up to the professionals. Let me know if this doesn’t address your question and what you’d like to see

Stu, I Like the simplicity of your panel and wiring. Makes a lot of sense.

Yeah it’s been busy - not quite settled yet - another 3 weeks
well done Stu really got a knack for explaining things
Thanks Stu, I'm building a RV-3 so your videos are a great reference for me. Keep them coming!
Great overview, Stu. Thanks!
Thanks for the class!
Amazing details Stu!
Thanks Stu. Liked it!

Do you happen to have talked about telecommunications/Stractured cabling in Aircraft? I

Hi, why did you forbid aerobatics on your rv? Is this a personal choice?
That’s just required for the test period. It will have aerobatics authorized: It’s a flight permit and evaluation flight required
@@stusaircraftfactory6592 that's true! Thanks 😊
What’s the sources of your knowledge? Are you an engineer?
Just experience. I've built 5 of these airplanes and owned 2 others
