    Ma dude says "easy at home" job this. 🤣🤣 Working on the heater core is one of the most frustrating and complex jobs in the whole vehicle. Not many people can remove all those panels and put them back again.
    Only suitable for skilled mechanics, I think.
    Great video.

      @@Gasdieselgarage finally got it out! You got any tricks for checking to make sure the replacement one I got is good..I was thinking a bicycle pump with a pressure gauge and and old bicycle inner tube ..Put air in, stick it in water and and check no bubbles..I figure that should work..Literally took me 2 solid days to get it out😂🙈

    Can you tell me the size of original heat core?

  • @Knife_Collector
    @Knife_Collector 2 года назад +1

    If your still reading comments... Have a friend with a 1997 Rav4, and heater did not want to get warm. We flushed heater core and it had no issue. But when we hooked hoses back up, and started engine, the inlet side on the firewall got hot, but the outlet side stayed cold, which would mean water was not flowing thru it, but we know it was clear from the flush.
    Is there a inline valve somewhere under the dash?
    EDIT. Never mind, I see from the video there is no valve, just inlet and outlet lines.. any idea why water is not flowing thru it, even after a flush showed it was clear? Is there something on the engine hoses and connections that would stop water from flowing?

    • @Gasdieselgarage
      @Gasdieselgarage  2 года назад +1

      Unless you have a clog in the heater core hoses coming from the engine…I have seen that before.

      @@kuiji9973 OK, I guess the channel was correct in his opinion,, my friend said he had to change out the heater core. Which I found confusing to what I remember, as I remembered water flowing thru it as we flushed it, that's why we could not figure it out.
