    I love the fact that you show examples of songs using specific types of embouchure. I look forward to listening songs and try to guess which embouchure singers use.

    Hello! I am a french singing teacher and so I tell you that whit my bouche :) : you're one of the best singers and technician that I have seen and heard! You have a great mastery of all mechanisms of your voice, you know what you are talking about! 3 octaves by barely opening mouth: you killed me :) I say a huge BRAVO!!!!!!! (and you have a great musical culture: pop, opera, musical, rock etc etc etc. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

      I believe, and dont quote me on this as im doing this as I watch, those reference specific harmonics. Harmonics, simply put, are notes that make up a note.

    What kind of bouche is kurt cobain using where his mouth is very narrow and barely open, yet his sound is huge with lots of distortion and harmonics?
    Like penny royal tea where he does the duet live with punk rock guy. The punk guy has a wide open approach trying to keep up with kurt and kurt seems like hes barely trying. The sound is similar from both of them, with kurts voice being more rich, but towards the end of the song the punk guys voice is losing alot of power and harmonics. While kurt is still right on track and barely trying to be beautiful.
    What kind of bouche is kurt using? Any notes on the Legend?

    HI Justin, I saw one of your videos a couple years ago
    _can't seem to find I thought it was about embochure but this one doesn't seem like it was the one did you remove any videos? The reason I ask is it had some good info I had taken notes on. I just remember that you said in the video "hip-hop guys can't be bothered with opening their mouths very much" not in a negative way but in a funny realistic way. would you happen to remember what the video is called? Thanks and thanks for all your videos, really appreiciate it.

    • @NewYorkVocalCoaching
      @NewYorkVocalCoaching  3 года назад +1

      Hi Natalie! Simply put, if you struggle with spreading in order to get stronger or achieve high notes, practice with a neutral embouchure. Add spreading or other embouchures as a stylistic choice after you can sing without those! -NYVC
