How to sing high pitch for guys? When someone asks about singing a high pitch, it’s the same as singing a high note. High notes and high pitches are used interchangeably and both are hard to do unless you know these three secrets! Watch!
Hi Chuck I wanted to ask what is the differences between mix voices and the classical musicians doing ? What am I asking is Actually here does pavarotti signing in mix voice here ? ruclips.net/video/H77ouQu4u9s/видео.html
I am singing since years when I was a kid . I used to sing high notes as a kid but when I grew into a teenager my voice deepened and I wasn't able to sing high notes. Nice work sir.
It's related to your age, sex, vocal range, tessitura (is the most acceptable and comfortable vocal range for a given singer (or, less frequently, musical instrument). It is the range in which a given type of voice presents its best-sounding (or characteristic) timbre) and other things.
I could feel the difference but no matter how clear I try to do any of the techniques that you are showing us my voice always sems to turn into a nasal Trombone, and I can't stand the nasal sounds like that. How do you get rid of the nasally sounds?
Mainly by doing exercises that bring the larynx down. It really doesn't take long to begin experiencing this in the exercises. But you have to do the exercises as demonstrated. You can do it!
Your English is so smooth! I am learning not only vocals from your video but get right pronunciation as well. (I am not native). Thank you for your hard work!
Funny. If you struggle it's usually you are expelling too much air with your note. Do a Mickey mouse impersonation and then sing in that tone. It will start you off.
Here I am in my room making bubbles and terrible sounding noises, and here is Chuck looking at me with the most encouraging look I've had while singing 😅 Thank you, I actually managed to reach my head voice!
I had a random urge to sing some songs that had Chester Bennington in then, but he has an incredibly awesome and unique voice. However, these tips helped me reach higher with my voice so I was able to do pretty good. Thanks!
It's not really about the "vibrations" moving anywhere as that's a sympathetic sensation; it's about the transition from the anterior to the posterior musculature. Straining, breaking or breathy are all symptoms of the same issue - poorly coordinated breath and glottal compression ratios that do not coordinate the shift from anterior to posterior smoothly. Nothing in here bad for anyone - all are safe techniques, I just think there are more finished sounds that accomplish this faster.
Your videos are great Chuck, thank you so much. I just wish the scales (especially the nay nay nay one) would be a bit slower to give chance to our voices to go into the mix.
If you are a baritone, you can probably emulate Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Neil Diamond, Red Hot Chil Peppers, ZZ Top, Bob Seiger. It helps to figure out who you can emulate in various styles, so you can find the keys that make you shine. Transposing everything gets old. The capo doesn't help a baritone as much. I write songs, so I pay attention to the keys and chord progressions of the singers i can emulate, in the styles that I like.
And you will find that you can sing much higher than you realized when you correctly apply these exercises and master them. It's very exciting. Then you can add more singers.
I'm a baritone and I can go up to B5. I don't know why, but it is easier for me to hit B5 (or Bb5 ) than A5 is there an answer to it? my A5 mostly cracks or how you call it. And I often screamed as a Kid because I thought it was funny... So as I was getting more mature I didn't scream at all, but I remembered how to do it. So I tried screaming again (without annoying anyone 😂) and then I tried to just do high notes or make the note sound My highest then was G5 but now I can go higher because I was screaming everyday. Thats definitely not how you learn to go higher with your voice but I did it. I don't even know what this comment is or where it should help 😂
ben ben: the reason its easier to singer higher is because you are further away from the bridge of the voice. When you get closer to chest voice, you are pulled toward chest and that makes it harder to do. The high notes really are easier.
B0-B4 in chest (on mic for that B0 with no fry or subharmonics; F1 off-mic for the lowest, however),,,, when I learned how to flip into head voice, I am able to get to A5 now.

Do you sound husky when you speak? If not, you are doing it wrong. Can you speak longer than 4 seconds without running out of air. If you can, then running out of air after 4 seconds when singing, means you are doing it wrong.
High pitches are easy... I just channel the girl from 9 Lives cat food commercials... "Morris time fo din din"... LOL! The problem is getting the timbres those 80's Hair Band guys like Swbastian Bach et. al were getting. Or Brian Johnson of AC/DC... High isn't the problem... sounding good in those ranges (or any range really)... is.
In my experience, we get into trouble when we are chasing sound. Instead, I teach students how to get the very best their unique voices are capable of producing. The exercises are designed to get their vocal cords to work in an optimal fashion and the larynx to stay down so the vocal cords are free and unencumbered. When all these are functioning optimally, the resonance will also be optimal. Then their unique sound is natural and authentic. And they can focus on singing and performing and sharing their heart and soul.

@@flmason There's no question students want it. The only thing I can do is to explain that with every sound you try to create, unwanted muscular tension is added to the vocal machinery that produces the sound. Which makes it harder not easier to sing well. I am not an expert in mimicking or imitating singers. But I am going to guess that someone can be tremendously successful if they have the same physical build and look, practice the mannerisms, are able to musically reproduce their sound through excellent musicianship and command the stage the way the original did (does). @@usagijojo2 Close to it...but the vocal cords stay engaged. It's hard to tell at first. But experience tells me that most guys feel like head voice is falsetto. It's not. Head voice blends into chest voice. Falsetto does not. It has to engage the muscle of the vocal cords when going back into chest, and that creates a break-like feeling going back down into chest. Head voice gives a smooth transition back into chest.

Here you go. It's a little different, but holds the key to high notes: ruclips.net/video/ACGOt2Ca-oM/видео.htmlsi=82649k-FB8YIBN6D
Ok this is scary honestly
With just step 1 I’m now able to go so much higher
It was never that you couldn't do it. We don't know how. Once you know, you can do it! Way to go!
I don't sing, I just used this video for feminine voice training
I don't get very much into the higher female register
@@PowerToSing well it still helped a bit, and now I feel more confident
@@A_guy_named_ivan Great!
Yes, that was something new. Very interesting.
Thanks so much, I going better day by day and training muscles I didn´t even knew before :D. Good and clearly explaining I really be pleased about your video. Greetings from Germany
Great to hear! Thank you and Greetings to you!
Hii Chuck. Thanks for all those training videos. Much appreciated Sir. While browsing your videos, I found one particular one where you explained exercises by pressing thumb below chin on the neck muscle and trying few exercises. For some reasons, I'm unable to retrieve back the same video. Could you please reply me with a link to that video? Thanking you again🙏😊
See if this is the one: www.powertosing.com/1473-2-how-to-sing-higher-without-cracking-or-breaking/
@@PowerToSing Thank you Chuck. Sorry. This video is not the one. That one had you pressing the neck muscle with your thumb and showing us how to imitate the sound of a puppy (with a puppy picture inscribed in the video).
@@Bizan9501 Unfortunately...after almost 400 videos, I'm not sure which one it is. Sorry!
@@PowerToSing Thank you again for your sincere efforts Chuck. I will find it very soon. No worries at all🙏😊
I think I'm doing the neighs in the second part all wrong. It seem any different to me than usual. Just lots of voice cracking.
Cut your loudness in half. Stay exaggerated while doing it much less loud.
@@PowerToSing I'll try that. Also, should the highest notes sound like falsetto, or no?
@@usagijojo2 Close to it...but the vocal cords stay engaged. It's hard to tell at first. But experience tells me that most guys feel like head voice is falsetto. It's not. Head voice blends into chest voice. Falsetto does not. It has to engage the muscle of the vocal cords when going back into chest, and that creates a break-like feeling going back down into chest. Head voice gives a smooth transition back into chest.
Yes sir! learnt
That's very exciting!
In my opinion a baritone voice is just as pleasant to the hear as a woman’s hi pitch girly voice ..Now falsetto voicing is something else ..
Yes....it is ultimately....preference.
I used to sing way better and more higher when I was younger but now I sing like a dying cow
How old are you now?
@@PowerToSing I’m 17 now
@@PowerToSing male
@@Demonflamegun These videos will help: ruclips.net/p/PLc6YT-50Ji8HOB7VSpjcPMEV6IKiNB5Gz I made them for guys going through exactly what you are experiencing.
Thanks for the help!
You are welcome!

LesPaul shattered his right arm in a car wreck . Had to have the elbow set permanently at an angle so that he could play guitar. He Became a super star in the 50s.
You sir are smart and motivated. You will figure this out and prosper.
Well...thanks!
I'm a deep voiced girl and I really needed this
Great!
Thanks
You are Welcome!
this is is so good i love it keep up your content i can now do a high pitch
Great! Glad it helped.
I came here so I can do a damn Dobby impression from Harry Potter
ok
I'll give it a go, my voice is usually suited to a C
You can do it!
Ok. I'm a complete beginner but I do love to sing karaoke. I usually sing mid-range songs but recently I've been wanting to sing Open Arms by Journey. I'm just fascinated by Steve Perry's and Arnel Pineda's voice. So I've been doing some exercises and rewatching your video. I gotta say, your video has helped me a lot. I'm slowly but surely hitting those high notes with less straining than before and less cracking/breaking. I don't aim to be a famous singer but I do enjoy hitting the high notes I used to only dream about. Lol. Love this video. Liked and subscribed!
Awesome! way to go! You may want to pursue more and if so start here: www.powertosing.com/discover-your-vocal-type-wt
I’m at the gym and did what you said. Luckily everyone has in ear plugs these days. Singing to my heart’s content
LOL! A singer/performer is born!
I like what you teach to sing easily
Thanks!
😅well done me! Never thought I could sing so high. Thank you sir for your help.
Great job!
Great thanks
