I'm thinking about Schneider for my CDL. Everything is a stepping stone to something better like driving a tanker. I'm 50 right now and I don't have family or bills holding me back, I love to drive. Hope to see you on the road buddy.
Good luck 👍 and be safe out there thanks for watching the video..
In my experience they are very strict but I liked it overall they are about safety and my trainers were very informative. I think for starting Schneider is the way to go.
Thats right brother you gotta stay on the road to make money You cant make no money sitting at home all the time.
I drove for about 7 months dedicated. I was only home 4 days a month. I figured out the hours I was working. If I worked the same number of hours in a factory. I would only need to make $11 an hour to make the same amount. Been thinking about trying it again . But I can’t afford to get screwed again.
Thank you Mr. JL for taking the time to share your experience in trucking; specifically with. Schneider Trucking. Your very honest; keeping simple, and specific. Really appreciate you willing to be transparent on pay, Thank you and I’m subscribed to learn from your experience.
Thanks 👍 for watching the video and comments I appreciate it and thanks again 👋.
Thank you for the videos really appreciate them
Glad you like them!
Thanks for making this video. You seem honest and wanting to help others! Keep it up!
Thank you for the transparency and honesty. I really appreciate it!
Thanks…👍
Target account was actually sweet, only one store I didn’t like going to because of traffic behind the store
Just getting into trucking and just found your channel. Great video. Very informative. Thank you
Thank you for all info! I finally completed all my training with my TE. I will get my truck coming days and start my career.
I’m really happy 😃 for you congratulations.I’ll see you on the road. Be safe out there.
@@truckingwithjl7826 Yeah! See you out there! Be safe!
@@truckingwithjl7826 I am still struggling for backing/alley dock.
It's going to take a little bit of practice and time but you will eventually will get it. If you have to get out and look to see how your doing, do it don't worry about people looking at you pay no attention to them.
I quit trucking today, I have poor vision when driving in the dark and bad weather.
This really helped! Thanks for your honesty!
thanks man good video, ill be starting with Schneider next week for orientation im excited
Thanks best of luck to you.. be safe out there 👋
I’ll be with my TE next week. Great video!
Good luck 👍 hope everything goes smoothly
I'm starting with Schneider soon hopefully! I passed my CDL permit test and will try to go to trucking school asap
Great 👍 thanks for watching the video and comment. Good luck !!
Excited to start with te for regional tanker next week at Schneider
My husband, whom I left and then went through a divorce with hid a whole transport truck from me for awhile when I was busy with our 2 infants while caring for his elderly father too and housing a part time odd job employee of ours too. That was to go along with the garbage truck I helped him run for a short time as a sampier and secretary and receptionist and student too until I got pregnant soon enough. 'We' had taken on too much when he got into a terrible accident. And then after he fell in with a bad crowd while recovering and then started to treat us with a lot of harshness and coersive control I left. Tried to complete post secondary education more than once and I am not talented at driving whatsoever so I let all my interests in that company go.
I’m sorry that you’ve had to experience those things, sometimes it’s hard to balance balance work and family life when it comes to trucking. I hope everything goes better in the future. Thanks for watching the video and comment..
Excellent Video!
Thank you for your support !!!
I am considering going with schneider to get cdl and for training purposes
Muy buena informacion gracias por compartir
How long have you been driving with schnider?? Those checks aren't bad if you're new, but if you've been driving for a while not good
When I made that video I was two years in with Schneider from the beginning I did pretty good but those last few checks that were the best the checks that I received with Schneider but I did run hard for that kind of money 48cpm plus, and not everybody does get that kind of money in Schneider unless there are in a good account. Thanks for watching the video and comments appreciate you..
How much does local driver makes per week
with one or two yrs experience 100000yr home 2 or 3 times a week, minimum trucker wage
On your 1400 check how many miles where u putting in ?
Schneider is cleaning house less driver less deliveries higher prices and new hire watch your back.
Schneider hired so many people in the last two weeks
Simple answer: anywhere from $0 to $150k. Depending on the company, work and driver.
Yes 😊👍
Thanks for the info ! I start with Schneider driver training Monday ... totally new to the biz , starting out with local night time intermodal out of the haslet bnsf yard ..any insight?
I see positive Schneider reviews and I see the bad , I’m totally doing this for the cdl and experience, man living in Dallas I can Uber/Lyft and make a few hundred extra week with nominal effort and time so I ain’t sweating it ... your insight would be appreciated if ya have local intermodal knowledge
Thanks !
Sorry I have not done local Intemodal . One of the reason I came to Schneider was a few years ago I new a few guys up in New Jersey that they were doing good . What I do know is Mini Modal Dedicated it’s kind of regional because I only run three states. I will try to talk to one of the Intermodal driver at the lot and get some info. Thanks for watching the video and comments I’ll get back to you soon.
@@truckingwithjl7826 thanks !! Much appreciated.... like I said the goal is experience and the class A license, and this opportunity presented itself... I have a few companies on mind , Walmart DOT Estes OD ... this experience will help towards those ... but who knows , if the money is right the local intermodal might be a good fit
Appreciate your response!!’ You see all sorts of Schneider videos , some bad some good
I like to focus on the positive! Keep em coming!! 👍
I still not have run into one of the local Intermodal driver.. But yeah do want works best for you some time that’s what we have to do out here.. Good luck 👍 and be safe…
I start Schneider on Nov. 8th... How's it going?
@@Lucifer3001 I made it 4 days lol .... in no way am I trying to be negative, just sharing my experience. Way to many students , very few instructors. The instructor my 5 person group had was some bull “ she-male” who could not point out the pre trip engine components, she definitely was not qualified! Vast majority of the new candidates were kids ! Looked like some summer camp ! .... I applied with R&L and was hired as a class B driver ( I have my class B) ... $24 hr to start ( actually here now writing this , doing a road test ) , 50 hr work weeks Mon thru Friday ...home every night, and verbal commitment to train me for my class A in 6 to 8 months ..no brainer !
Again , just my opinion on Schneider, they been around along time and have lots of long term employees ...but it was evident they are a starter company.
Hi, thanks for your info.
Can you teach us about the Schneider tablet ? No body does !
Thanks
I’m going to look into it and see if I can do that..
Should be, " how much money can you make at Schneider" not how much money can you make in trucking.
Thanks for your content sir, I'm currently in CDL school and really interested in starting out with Schneider to learn the ropes. So if one was to go OTR and do 3 weeks then 1 week at home. Does the company pay anything for the week at home, or are we really expected to just get 3 paychecks from the 3 weeks on the road. I hadn't thought about the week at home not getting paid. Also what are your thoughts on the jetset intermodal otr ? is it harder? more headaches?
Schneider is a good company to start . If you’re paying for the CDL School try te get reimbursed they will pay you just have to stay with them as long as you can. They will pay increments and maybe a bonus. When you go home for home time you don’t get paid so that week that you’re home you’re not getting paid. If you like flying you’ll be OK it might actually be a good thing because you won’t have to wait for load to go home but it all depends where you live . Intermodal is okay if you are just moving the loaded container for them Because if you have to go to the rail yard or the porch you gonna lose a lot of time I don’t really know much about it but I have talked some of the guys that done that gets it and they seem to be OK but again Schneider is a good company to start the pay is not the best but get as much experience you can with them and then you MoveOn thanks for watching the videos and comment hope everything goes well with you good luck out there be safe.👋
@@truckingwithjl7826 thanks for replying and God Bless
Pretty soon I start. I got experience and I’m doing there intermodal position. They fly me to Chicago for 3 weeks then they fly me back home for a week. Please fill me in on this position. Is it good pay??
Are you still doing the target account? Do you go to nyc ? Is the company paying per dime?
How long you been with Schneider?
A total of 4.5 years, 3 as a company driver..
Are you regional or local in this paystub?
thanks
How much they pay new drivers ? I'm coming from being a school bus driver.
I believe it is around 44 to 50 CPM but it all depends where you live and the type of work. Thanks for watching the video and comment..
@@truckingwithjl7826 you welcome your video was very helpful
@@truckingwithjl7826 I'm coming to Schneider after I pass
Great video! Very informative. Thanks for sharing this information.
I've been debating Schneider... with these amounts per check, how many days were you on the road to make this?
Also, if I get my CDL, will Schneider allow you to drive Intermodal fresh out of graduating their school, or do they require you to gain OTR experience first, for a number of months?
Hey Robert you could do Intermodal they will give you extra training on the containers . Now the pay will be based where you live. I’m on a dedicate mini modal account and on at 48 cents. When I do just that it’s the highest pay you see on the video. If you’re doing Intermodal I Think they pay by stops and by hour I’m not sure but you will have to ask the recruiter about that and I usually stay out two weeks at a time . You just have to try to get the highest CPM per mile or highest pay otherwise the checks might not be that great Thanks for watching the video and comments. Hope that answers your question
@@truckingwithjl7826 yes, you did answer my question. Thanks so much.
I liked the video, im new to this. I was thinking about doing the training with schneider, any advice would be helpful, also I would want to be home weekly or daily, what positions would that be? Thanks great video
Hey 👋 if you are new to trucking Schneider is a good Company to start . If Schneider have Intermodal work we’re you live that type of work you’re going to be able to go home daily. For weekly home time it will be regional or dedicated work if it’s available in your area. Thanks for watching the video and comment.
Out 3 weeks time
Just graduated and got my class A CDL and I'm planning on going to Schneider for Regional. What's the pay like? Hourly or per trip? Miles? And what do I expect for home time?
They switched to hourly recently. I worked 60 hours last week and didnt crack 1k so that should tell u everything lol
@@daddy1231 damm thts really bad
Is this a company driver pay not a owner operator right?
Company pay 💰
I really appreciate this video. Will like to discuss something off line with you. Can you welcome that please?
👍..truckingwithJL@aoutlook.com we can on phone also shoot me an email
Good morning! I was wondering how long have you worked at Schneider to see checks like that? I’m starting with Schneider on Tuesday November 2nd
It depends at what CPM you come in and experience , and the type of work also we’re you live .I been here for 2.5 years but I have always done good. I did have some experience. It won’t take to long to get good pay. Schneider have different types of work, you’re could be able to switch to get better pay.
@@truckingwithjl7826 I’m coming in as a rookie with no experience on the target dedicated account. A lot of people complain about the pay, but I’m going to check it out myself
Ok 👍 Just go get the experience then you can talk to them to see if you can get a better pay. Yes the pay at the beginning may be low but as you get to know how the company works it should get better and if not there are other company out there. I do hear that about the Target account but at the same time there are driver’s that don’t really want to put the miles in. I do the Target loads usually when I go home and I have been there for a few weeks and don’t like it because I seat waiting for a load because they keep me there to cover other drivers loads.
Thanks for the info. Do you still work with them? How is business?
No I just left the company. If they keep you moving and have a higher cent’s per mile it’s okay 👍 .. thanks for watching the video and comments
How long you stay out on the road??
2 to 3 week and sometimes I got to pass threw the house for the night. That’s when I was a company driver. Now I’m home every weekend as an O/O independent contractor for Schneider.
@@truckingwithjl7826 I’m thinking about going with Schneider after my classes next month, they have a dedicated Georgia pacific in my area, what’s the pay like ? & what can I expect on the job & home time ?
Can you make the same pay running regional tanker?
From what I know you can but it depends on the area you’re at. Because sometimes there’s a lot of waiting for does type of loads..good luck
Tks for your video. Is truck is your owener? Low income?
Hey 👋 Willian The truck belongs to the company it’s not mines I’m a company driver for Schneider. Thanks for watching the video and comments..
Wht do u mean by on the top of them ???
R u refering to they r cheating your mileage / mistake with intent, or they r not giving u enough mileage ????
So what I mean is if you are just sitting waiting for an Assignment and hours past you should be giving them a call to see what is going on. I don’t know if you work for Schneider or not but usually when you get an assignment depending if you have an empty with you , you would just go and pick up your load but if you don’t have a empty trailer you will have to go get an empty . For example I just got an assignment and it’s telling me I need an empty because I am Bob tailing from my last assignment so as of now I still don’t have an empty assignment to pick up the empty if I don’t give them a call I will never get that assignment because Schneider has what they call load planners and box planners everything is computer-generated so if you wait you’ll be sitting for a while so as soon as you see that you should be giving them a call . Things like that I could give you different scenarios .That’s for OTR work , Dedicated is different. So you could say that your not getting enough miles when that happens. You will Get all the miles paid there’s no cheating .So they pay for detention, lay over, brake down but it’s computer generated but sometimes you will not see it on your pay and it’s not Intentional . That’s when you give them a call so they could fix it and they will.On that video I mentioned that I was switched to the Target account and that’s why the pay was less because of the miles now I’m back on my regular loads .Hope that answers your question thanks for watching the videos and comment be safe out there.
@@truckingwithjl7826 TQ, great appreciate for shining light on my question.
Does Schneider require a new medical card if you already have one?
I believe everyone in orientation gets a new medical card or before you go to orientation they will send you to get drug test and at the same time get Dot card
Is this company or owner op ? Just tryna get some clarification
This is company pay I’m on a dedicated account and this is without Per Diem pay. Thanks for your questions . SCHNEIDER NATIONAL Company driver
Hey what do rookie team drivers make coming fresh out of their school?
It’s hard for me to tell you an amount but I will say anywhere from $800 to $1200 a week it could be more than that also depends if you are OTR or you are in dedicated account I did teamwork pulling FedEx trailers for two months as a team driver I made $12-$1400 a week and it depends where you live of .they pay you for the miles that you drive so you don’t share the miles with the other driver they’ll pay you the miles that you drive as team drivers you get a higher CPM cents per miles maybe 50 or $.52 but I cannot really give you a sure answer. Thanks for watching the videos and comments best of luck to you!! Be safe out there.
All trucks are automatic???
Yes 👍
do you have a referral code so you can get the bonus?
Hey Chris thanks for asking but I’m no longer working for Schneider. Driver do get a referral bonus but I never asked my viewers to use my number witch it was my driver number. Thanks for watching the video and comments!!
Bro I have my cdla how much would they start me out with ???
Sorry !! the late answer I haven’t checked my message in a while . But the pay it all depends where you live the account that you will be doing an experience it is possibility of getting $.51 a mile but that’s barely rear so I will say about 44 or $.48 amount to start try talk to recutting if you haven’t yet try to get as much you can also if you got resent experience you can get a nice bonus.. to compensate for the low pay it worked out for me at least for the first year..Thanks for watching the video and comments.. be safe out there 👋

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY HOPE 🔴
How many hrs you drive a day I’m with Schneider also I’m on my second week OTR and I’m trying to do as many miles as I can but at the end of the week I’m out of hrs and I have to take a 34 so how do you pace your hrs or how many miles do you try to do a day?
Hi I’m on a dedicated account , drop and hook and drive 10 plus hours a day . 600 miles and have to do a 34 H reset by end of week. When I used to do OTR I did 8 to 9 hours a day about 400 plus miles and ran on recaps that depends if I had live load , unload there’s a lot of things that come in to play.
I would rather be a professional Lottery player.
Can a new driver who just signed and drove get a dedicated account or no
Yes you can it all depends if there is a dedicated account in your area. Because They will need to get you home for home time unless your on one those accounts that they you there. Thanks for watching the videos and comments …
how much you get per mile?
48 cpm
Hey I’ll be on the Columbia sport account as well I’m the next two weeks. If you could give me a little information on how that account operates and what I should expect
It’s an easy account it consist of drops and hook all loads you just get the paperwork at the security office and you’re on your way you do have to make a call before you leave the lot and there’s not really a set appointment .Unless the load been sitting in the lot . You’ll be OK it’s not that hard you do get a lots of miles.Good luck be safe and I’ll see you in the road thanks for your comments and questions.
If you don’t mind could you blog one day on what a working day for you consist of
👍 I’ll Will do the next load to Columbia. I should put it out by the weekend right now I’m on a Costco load.
Thank you for the insight , I was wondering on the weeks where you said you got paid better , which dedicated account was you under .. would really appreciate a reply , thanks 🙏
Hey 👋 the account is Columbia sports and they are container loads ( Mini Modal ) out of Georgia port . To my experience Dedicated work is where the money is at because usually there drop and hook. I have done OTR and made that kind of money 💰 but that’s if I did not have live loads and live unload..
@@truckingwithjl7826 Hey brother, just wondering which state is home for you. I know that you get paid different rates based on where you live. I mean a Driver who lives in Caifornia gets paid way more than someone from Ohio like me. Just wondering if you are getting paid so well because of a reason like this. I used to drive trucks from 2004 to 2009. I been off the road…… thinking about going back and starting at Schneider. I havent been able to find my way in life…. Never thought I would want to go back to trucking but….. I’m just done trying to find something else.
So would you say Otr is where the money is or dedicated? What is your cents per mile if you don’t mind me asking?
If you get into a good dedicated account and it’s strictly drop and hook it is the way to go it depends how the account is set up Some of them you waste a lot of time And there are a lots of stops and city driving. I did pretty good with OTR as long as I did not have live load and live unload that’s where you lose time.Right now I’m at 48CPM and do drops and hooks no waiting. Now don’t get me wrong some of the the stops you get paid for. Hope that answers your questions and thanks for the questions be safe I’ll see you in the road.
@@truckingwithjl7826 thank you I greatly appreciate your feedback I’m starting orientation 10/18 with Schneider I’m solid on my decision for a great starter company as far as experience I’m not to focused on the pay coming in as a rookie mainly focus on getting my 1st year experience under my belt and also make some decent money I’m 21 don’t really have that many priorities. Hahaha nice 👍 😀😀
how do Schneider pay by the miles? and how much?
It depends on experience and where you live. It’s possible 40. to 50. Cpm
so in order to make $1400 a week u will have to drive approximately 3000 miles right.
Yes 👍 I’m on A dedicated account which I put about anywhere from 3 to 3400 miles a week at $.48 per mile and is drop and hook which you won’t have any waiting time no live load or live unload if you do get live loads in life unloads you might not make 3000 miles a week. So I roughly make anywhere from $1300 to $1580 after taxes
are you a company diver ????
Yes company driver not owner op..
And that with hazmat and tankers ?
I do have them but it’s not needed.. The pay depends where you live and the account your on .
